Chapter Text
Eichi, Hajime's familiar, given to him by his mother
It was a "normal" day at Camp Half-Blood, well... as normal as a camp for literal demigods can be. Hajime was still sleeping peacefully in his bed, which rested in the Hecate cabin. He only awoke when the horn for breakfast was blown and Eichi nipped him on the nose to wake him.
He got out of bed, brushed his teeth and styled his hair, got dressed, and went out to get some breakfast. His breakfast consisted of two pancakes and a bowl of fruit. He picked out the juiciest strawberry, the biggest slice of pineapple, and the best miniature bunch of grapes from his bowl and threw them into the fire pit in the center, sending a silent prayer to his mother along with the food. He ate, then went about his daily chores.
To begin with, he, as the senior camper of the Hecate cabin, had to make sure that his siblings had done their part in cleaning up the cabin. Then, he had to assign the campers their schedule. Then, he had various magic-related things to do around camp before he could rest for a bit. After that, he had to escort his siblings to lunch and then he had to help with the pegasus.
He was in the middle of doing various magical things around the camp: renewing protective magics, enchanting weapons, playing revenge pranks with the Hermes and Apollo cabins, etc.
Apparently, one of the Ares campers that he had pranked that week had planned to release a few of the pegasi from the camp's stables to get revenge. Unfortunately, the camper couldn't quite control the pegasi and one of them stampeded straight towards Hajime. The result was a head on collision that caused Hajime to be knocked out.
The last thing he registered was the slight hint of myrrh in the air.
When Hajime awoke, the first thing he was aware of was the feel of several soft pillows and blankets and the smell of myrrh and cloves. He opened his eyes to see that he was lying in a bed that was stuffed with pillows and blankets of varying textures and designs. He seemed to be in a house, one surprisingly homey in its design despite being a bunch of different styles stitched together quite like a quilt. He could see some of his personal items scattered throughout the open rooms.
When he got up to investigate further, he noticed that his clothes had changed as well. He went from his orange camp t-shirt and blue jeans to an all-teal outfit that was quite comfortable and suited his figure. His hair was changed from its usual half-up half-down hairstyle to an intricate looking braided sort of bun that he could tell was rather simple to make in all its complex appearance.
He made his way down the stairs and to the main portion of the shop. It seemed to be a magic shop. He could see some more of his personal items and someone else's personal items scattered throughout and the shop itself felt rather familiar, though he couldn't place how.
He elected to ignore that fact when he found some of his favorite cookies and tea in the pantry, deciding to get a snack instead of investigating for the time being.
