"Come on, Jaiden! I want to battle!"
"Nemona, I just woke up. Can't this wait?" Jaiden tries one more time to get xyr friend to calm down, but she's refusing to take no for an answer.
"I haven't seen you since kindergarten, Jay! Come on, can't we have a battle? I want to see if you're still as tough as you were back then!"
Jaiden shrugs. "Fine, I guess so."
Nemona jumps in the air. "Yay!" She takes out two of her PokeBalls. "Lechonk, let's go!"
Jaiden tosses out xyr Mareep. The battle is brief but close, and Jaiden comes out on top. "You did good, buddy."
"Man, I thought for sure me and Lechonk could be strong enough."
"I think that's your mistake for picking Normal types instead of Electric ones."
"Well, I don't care what you say! Once Lechonk evolves, he and I could take out any one of your Pokemon, from Pawmi to Pikachu!"
"Hey, don't leave your Eevee out of the fight. Otherwise, Coco might get jealous."
As if sensing people were talking about her, Coco's PokeBall wiggles, as if she was trying to get out. With a jokingly exasperated sigh, Nemona lets her out.
Coco bounds up to Jaiden, happy to see xem again. Jaiden pets xyr friend's Eevee. "You still haven't evolved her yet?"
"I'll let her choose her path when the time comes. It's the least I could do for her, especially since we've been partners since before I could say Pokemon."
Jaiden nods. "Valid."
"So, do you plan on going on a Pokemon journey this year?"
"I'm not sure. It's been years since I've last been in the Roja region. I think I need some time to get reacquainted."
"Well, if you choose to, I'd love to take that journey with you."
"I'll keep that in mind. Thanks, Nemona."
Nemona pulls Jaiden into a hug. "Welcome back, Jay."
