“Good practice today, Miya!” Meian claps his hand hard on Atsumu’s back, chuckling as Miya groans and clutches his shoulder.
The gym is filled with a comfortable chatter as the members of MSBY pack up for the day. Atsumu stretches, his arms high above his head, mouth open in a yawn. “Man, I’m ready for spring break,” he sniffles.
Hinata beams from his spot on the nearby bleachers. “Me too! I’m probably gonna fly out to Brazil and just relax and have fun.”
“Keiji and I are going on a bunch of dates,” Bokuto chimes in with a disgusting lovestruck sigh. Atsumu laughs under his breath.
“What about you, Sakusa?” Hinata tilts his head as the attention swivels to the curly haired raven standing next to Atsumu (when did he get there?). “Any plans for the break?”
Sakusa is silent for a moment. He locks eyes with Atsumu for a second and the blonde raises an eyebrow. “I’m not sure yet, Shoyo.”
Hah, Atsumu smiles. He subconsciously steps a bit closer to where Sakusa stands. His teammates resume conversations about their plans for the next week or two, but Atsumu simply smirks at the raven, receiving an eye-roll in return. He’s smiling because he knows what Sakusa’s going to be doing (hopefully him). He knows that he’s going to spend the break cuddled in his boyfriend’s arms, and going out on dates that will hopefully out-date whatever Bokuto and Akaashi will be doing.
“And you, ‘Tsumu?” Bokuto interrupts his thoughts. Atsumu’s grin just widens.
“I’m gonna—“
Kiyoomi’s eyes widen.
“—ACHOO!”
Sakusa practically jumps a yard or three away from his spot next to Atsumu, who is currently covering his nose with his hand, eyes searching for a napkin. Kiyoomi is already on it, fetching out a tissue and placing it in the blonde’s free hand. Atsumu smiles with his eyes at him and catches a glimpse of Sakusa’s own reflecting back, before he backs up again, a look of disgust replaced on his face.
“Are you sick?” The raven crosses his arms.
“Nooo, Omi-kun, it’s just allergi— ACHOO!”
.
After saying their quick goodbyes, Sakusa leaves the gym with Atsumu following behind, his pinky latched with the raven’s.
“Omi, I’m okay,” he assures, but he lets himself be dragged to Sakusa’s car anyway. “I told ya, it’s probably just allergies. It’s spring!”
Kiyoomi’s nose scrunches, how cute. “You don’t know that.” He gets into the driver’s seat, waiting for Atsumu to fasten his seatbelt. “Don’t sneeze in my car.”
“Whatev’r ya want, Omi-omi.”
.
Atsumu is proved wrong once again by Kiyoomi when he starts to feel symptoms that seasonal allergies definitely shouldn’t cause.
He’s spent the first two days of break in his apartment alone, insisting that Kiyoomi stay in his own apartment so he wouldn’t have to catch his germs. Reluctantly, Sakusa had complied. Still, Atsumu thought not much of it, that he could just take a relaxing shower and pass out in his comfortable bed, and that he’d wake up with a clear nose once again.
He’s an idiot.
“You’re an idiot,” Kiyoomi says as he opens the door to Atsumu’s apartment, standing with a bag of groceries in hand.
“Omi, it’s morning, what’re ya…”
“I brought stuff for soup,” the raven says as he steps around Atsumu to toe his shoes off. He presses a featherlight kiss to Atsumu’s blond hair, and…
He squints at the strands and runs a hand through damp locks. Atsumu squirms under the attention, sniffling.
“Did you shower just now?” Atsumu shakes his head.
“… Did you dry your hair last night?” He shakes his head slowly this time.
Kiyoomi sighs. He lightly pushes Atsumu in the direction towards his bedroom. “Go rest, and please dry your hair. Stop going to bed with wet hair! You’re an idiot.”
Atsumu laughs lightheartedly, “Geez, Omi, I’m goin, I’m goin!”
.
Atsumu faintly hears a knock on his bedroom door before it opens and Kiyoomi slides through with a tray in hand. Smiling, the blonde rubs at his eyes and sits up. The raven places the tray on the nightstand and sits on the edge of the bed. He reaches up and uses the back of his hand to touch it lightly to Atsumu’s forehead. He hums. Atsumu hums back.
“Smells good, Omi.” He can see the outline of a smile on Kiyoomi’s face in the dim lighting of the bedroom.
“Eat when you can, before it gets cold.”
“So bossy, just cause I’m a little sick,” Atsumu huffs in a tease.
“Oi, watch it, I’m going to take the food back if you don’t because I spent time making that and I put my love and effort into it.”
Atsumu’s heart feels like jelly. “I know, Omi. Thank you.”
Kiyoomi says nothing as Atsumu finishes his soup. He simply tucks pieces of blonde hair back behind pink tinted ears. When Atsumu is done and he puts the now empty bowl on his nightstand, his cheeks are flushed — Atsumu blames it on the temperature difference from his body and the soup.
“Lie down,” Kiyoomi says so softly it’s almost a whisper. Atsumu listens, scooting down his pillow and settling under the sheets. His eyelids feel heavy and as they start to droop, he feels a dip in the bed beside him. Kiyoomi’s already under the comforter with him by the time Atsumu realizes what he’s doing. “Omi, no!” Atsumu gasps dramatically. “You’ll catch my grossness and get sick!”
Kiyoomi pays no mind, only wrapping his arms around his boyfriend and pulling him closer. Atsumu opens his mouth to protest but Kiyoomi beats him to it. “I don’t care, Atsu. Shut up and sleep so you can get better.”
Atsumu doesn’t want to get Kiyoomi sick but he’s feeling a little selfish now and doesn’t mind night cuddles and waking up to his beautiful boyfriend in the morning, so he smiles and moves his head comfortably under Omi’s chin, closing his eyes.
.
As expected, when they both wake up, Kiyoomi’s nose is red, stuffed, and he’s very much as sick as Atsumu. Nonetheless, Atsumu grins and kisses the scowl off of the raven’s face. “I can do that as much as I want now since we’re both sick,” the blonde says in between kisses.
Kiyoomi smiles as he rests his head on Astumu’s. “Yeah, yeah, well I guess I don’t mind staying inside during spring break with you.”
