"i like you kyo. like, a lot," you chuckled. "how was that, tohru?"
"great. i don't think he will get mad. i mean, he might. just from past experiences." you rolled your eyes, now feeling worried.
you had met tohru at school about a year ago. she was so nice and welcoming. you couldn't help but be her best friend. when she showed you where she lived, you were kind of shocked. she DID live in a house with 3 men...that turned into the chinese zodiac signs. but kyo, he was something different. he was the cat. cats were actually your favorite animal. and he was super cute. his red hair, his brown eyes. how could you not swoon inside when he would enter the room?
"what are you doing, y/n? you're not going anywhere, are you?" kyo stuck his head into the doorway. your heart started racing.
"oh uh, you know, i want to feel... pretty? i uh-"
"SHE IS IN LOOOOVE WITH YOU!!"
"what?"
you felt like a complete doofus. you needed to explain, but you were gonna deal with tohru later. "uh she's just kidding! i'm not in lo-"
"tohru! are gonna make dinner?" asked shigure from the other room
"i'll be there in a sec!" as she walked out the door, she whispered to kyo. "you might wanna stay in here, kyo."
"tohru!!!"

you and kyo just sat there for hours, not talking, doing nothing, being in love with the man next to you.
you and him were so caught up in being still and silent, both you and kyo missed dinner. you were especially zoned out. trying to not pay attention to him, but he started talking to you.
"are you actually in love with me?" he asked in a rough tone.
"no. maybe? i don't know!"
"y/n, tell me the truth."
"fine, yes! you're just so different from everyone else! i mean, shigure is a dog, yuki is a rat, and you're a, you're a cat! i freaking love cats! i think you're my favorite cat that i've met in my life! it's just not fair! and your face, it's just so, so, beautiful! come on, just kiss me already!"
you grabbed his head and brought his lips to yours. why hadn't you done this months ago? it would've made it so much easier.
once you and him broke apart, because he turned into a cat, you felt so stupid. "was that too much? i'm sorry. i shouldn't have-"
"no, it's fine. i'm just gonna have to thank tohru."
"why?"
"for bringing you here."
