Dream is sitting on a log with Tommy cradled up in his lap, a knife in his hand.
It's coated in Tommy's blood.
Tommy looks so tired, heavy, painful looking purple bags under his eyes.
His eyes are a watery, thin grey.
Dream smiles in a way that would be comforting if he wasn't drawing cuts along his arms.
He coos at him, telling him how good he's doing and that he's got him, that he's going to be okay.
He knows it's a lie, but it can't be, he's being so kind to him.
But he's not, his heads so fuzzy, he can't think straight.
Despite himself, Tommy feels safe.
It doesn't make since, but the pain in his arms is minimal, it stings, but only lightly.
He hopes it'll ache.
Dream has a cloth in his other hand, he dabs it at his arms lightly, catching the blood.
The smell of it is thick in the air, it's making Tommy's head worse.
Tears slip down his cheeks and Dream awws at him, he kisses him softly on the cheek and Tommy leans into it, whimpering softly.
Dream gives him that smile again and Tommy just feels so tired, he wants to be held.
He's not allowed to hug Dream since Dream's using his arms, but he grips Dream's hoodie.
The arm that's holding the cloth is around his back and it tightens around him slightly.
Dream sets the knife down and brings his hand up to brush through through Tommy's hair.
It's soft, and Dream can't help but press another kiss to the top of his head.
Tommy falls asleep with Dream still doting on him. He hopes he doesn't wake up.
