It was finally summer break! The trio of Josuke, Okuyasu, and Koichi had many epic things planned to do especially having a celebration for the end of the school year! "Come on!!" Josuke whined as the group suggested they have the party at his house. "I'm pretty sure you guys only use me for my mom" He huffed and looked at Okuyasu. They were standing near Angelo the rock attraction as they talked about which house to go to. Okuyasu's house was immediately ruled out due to not having much to do there and Koichi apparently didn't want to 'ruin' his house with their rowdiness. That clearly left the only option to be Josuke's. After a few seconds of his friends looking at him with pleading eyes he eventually caved in. "Fine but I have to call my mom first" He sighed and pulled his flip phone out.
"Yes!!" Okuyasu and Koichi cheered and gave each other a fist bump and cheerful grins. "I'm gonna go take my stuff back home, meet up in ten minutes?" Koichi checked with them before he made his way to his own house. Okuyasu decided to do the same and started walking to his house after making sure the plans were solid. "I wonder what Police is doing right now?' The short boy thought of his dog who was probably laying down in his little dog house like he usually did. He chuckled at that thought and it was even confirmed when he got to his front door. "Hey there buddy, miss me?" Koichi crouched down to pet his dog on the head before going into his house to get rid of his school bag and uniform.
As he was getting changed and everything packed his mind wandered to what his favorite manga artist was doing? Surely he was done with his new volume! 'Maybe he'd like to hang out to! I'm sure the others would be fine with it' Over the school year Rohan and the group got closer and could even consider each other as friends. Before Koichi left his house he gave his mother a warning he was leaving and set off to Rohans house. A small detour wouldn't hurt! He hummed to himself as he made his way to the manga artists' house and knocked on the door. It wasn't too late so he should still be awake. It didn't take long for him to hear footsteps and the click of the door unlocking and opening. "Rohan!! Me, Okuyasu, and Josuke are having an end of the year hang out! Would you like to join us? I know you're not in school much less ours but I thought you'd want to come" Koichi smiled as he made his offer.
"Well Koichi are you guys gonna stay up all night playing your video games and yelling till the break of dawn?" He questioned the boy causing him to pout. "Come on!! We're not stereotypical teenagers y'know!" Koichi objected even though he knew they did that sometimes. "I guess getting out of the house wouldn't be too bad.. fine I'll come just wait out here for a few minutes" When he received a nod Rohan shut the door and made his way to his room. He hasn't been invited to someone's house in forever so he almost forgot what to bring. Rohan looked over his possessions he used on a daily basis. He packed an extra pair of clothes[*], a toothbrush and toothpaste, and his drawing pad with pencils in case he wanted to sketch something. His eyes lingered on some of his little gear but he quickly dismissed the idea of bring any of it since the group knew nothing of his regression and he didn't want that to change just yet.
Once his bag was packed he headed downstairs with his shoes on and shut all the lights off before leaving. "Josuke's house, right?" Rohan inquired since that seemed like the most reasonable answer. "Mhm!! He just texted me a few minutes ago that his mom said yes" Koichi started walking to the other's house followed by the manga artist. The whole time they walked, Koichi rambled on and on about how excited he was for summer break and how he got his grades up thankfully due to Yukako.
Eventually they made it to Josuke's house. Said man and Okuyasu were sitting on the stairs. "Rohan!! I didn't know you were coming man?!" Josuke's voice held no malicious but instead surprise. "I decided it would be a good idea to get new sketches for my new manga by watching you guys hang out" Rohan dismissed the inquiring at his reason for joining them pretty quickly. "Well what are we waiting for!!" Okuyasu hopped up from the stairs with a smile and opened the front door. "Yeah yeah we're coming dude" Josuke passed him when walking into the house and was followed by the others. "My mom said you guys can stay but we have to remember to be quiet, okay? I'm looking at you buddy!" He looked over to Okuyasu and stopped in the kitchen to gather snacks. "Aw Josuke don't expose me like that!" Okuyasu playfully elbowed him in the shoulder causing them to start play fighting.
"Come on Rohan, we should head up to the room they'll be at this for a while" Koichi joked and walked towards the familiar room of his friend. Rohan stood there for a second watching them in a daze before he brought himself out of it and followed his silver-haired friend. "I'll never get used to this room, it's so crowded" Rohan remarked as he set down his bag and took of his shoes to rest near the door. Josuke's room wasn't particularly dirty but instead just had a lot of objects spread around it.
The two settled down and waited for the others to come up with the snacks. Rohan decided on taking out his sketch book and using heavens door to sketch Josuke's room. It'd be a nice reference for a high schoolers room in case he wrote any slice of life. The sound of Josuke and Okuyasu was heard way before the door of the room was heard opening. Their laughing spread a smile to everyone in the room and they set the junk food and drinks down on the floor. "Alright how should we start?!" The two sat down on the floor while Koichi and Rohan were sitting on the bed. "Video games!!" Koichi suggested as he remembered he bought a new one just a few days ago. It was way to early for them to walk movies since it was still bright outside.
When they all agreed on that they brought out different electronics, Josuke offered Rohan his old computer to play on since he didn't think of being one. They started off with the game Koichi suggested, Ace Attorney, as he just recently heard of it and what better to do than play it with his friends first?
After a while the group found themselves playing stupid games like the ones you'd find on yepi.com. It started off like fireboy and water girl with everyone taking turns as each then went to more stupid games like bubble shooter. Rohan complained as the games got dumber but that didn't stop him from continuing to play with them.
"Okay, wanna move onto watching horror movies than?" Josuke suggested and Okuyasu immediately agreed pretty loudly. "... fine" Rohan only agreed due to everyone else doing so. What else would he offer to do? He hadn't been at a sleepover for years so his knowledge on what to do wasn't much. "I'll get them!!" Josuke got up from his seat on the floor and went to one of his drawers that held his dvds. "Hmm there are so many to choose from..." He whispered but ended up picking most of them up and taking them with him. "Whabam!! I got most of every horror genre!" Josuke bragged as he watched Okuyasu look through them and Koichi and Rohan watched him to see if they found any they liked. "How about this one?!" Okuyasu held up one of the classics 'Nightmare on Elm Street' with a proud smile. "Yeah, I love that series!!" Koichi was on the edge of the bed as he agreed. Rohan only nodded in agreement since he didn't watch the series so he didn't have any opinions to go off of.
"It's settled than" Josuke took the case from his best friend and took the disc out, putting it in his DVD player that was set up to the tv in front of him. Shining diamond got sent out to shut the lights off and everyone got comfortable with snacks they wanted. Josuke and Okuyasu had a bowl of popcorn to share between them while Koichi chose some sour candy and Rohan took some water and fruit snacks. As the title card showed up and the intro started playing Rohan immediately pulled up the blanket on the bed towards his chest. His little side started getting it's way in his mind as the movie progressed causing Rohan to fight with himself. Right now was not the time and he knew he had the self control to keep it together.
The movie was about half way through when Rohan whimpered at a death scene and rushed off the bed and onto the floor. It was the death of Glen and it freaked him out of his mind. His little side took over and he regressed to a toddler. Normally horror movies didn't scare him but apparently he underestimated how easily he would get scared. He crawled over to the closest body which ended up being Okuyasu and he tried his best trying to get into his lap. "Bubba!!" Rohan cried and held onto any surface of the other's clothes he could reach. "Oh woah what are you doing dude?" Okuyasu was caught off guard at the sudden freak out.
"Scary!!" Rohan had tears running down his face which was hidden in Okuyasu's chest. "Is everything alright?" Koichi asked as a more of a general question and Josuke sent out his stand once more to change the lighting. With the lights on Rohan calmed down just a little bit but the image of Glen's death flooded his mind still. "Well yeah bro its a horror movie" Okuyasu explained and gently patted the others back like his own brother would do when he was a child and was upset. "I never knew it'd affect you this much, why didn't you tell us from the beginning?" Josuke was confused. Koichi got off the bed and sat down with the others to make sure everything was alright. Rohan backed away from his friends shirt but kept his grip and tried to explain but only stutters and deep inhales came out.
As he got more frustrated at his incapability to communicate his stand came out and looked around the room before spotting one of the open computers. He swooped it up and started typing with a concentrated look on his little face. After a couple seconds of the keyboard keys clicking heavens door finally turned the screen towards them and showed them a website describing age regression and it's basic information. "I think his stand wants to show up something!" Okuyasu pointed out and looked as Koichi took the computer and skimmed through the blog. "Age regression? I think that's what Rohan's experiencing?" Koichi then gave the computer to the others to look through to and gave Rohan a sympathetic look. He could only imagine what the baby was feeling right now. A few minutes passed of Josuke and Okuyasu reading while Rohan calmed down by the gentle pats on his back.
"Oh I think I understand!!" Josuke took ahold of the concept pretty quickly and picked up Rohan. The littles hold was strong but he soon let go and quickly transferred his body to Josuke's lap, making sure he kept physical contact the whole time. Okuyasu let his friend take the manga artist as he read a little bit longer. "So he's practically acting like a baby?" Okuyasu asked and was met with a shocked faced Koichi, "That's a little bit rude Oku but technically yes though judging by how he's acting he has to be mentally around a toddlers age if I had to guess" He told him and the man quickly apologized for his bluntness. Rohan had the side of his head laying down on Josuke's chest as he sucked on his thumb. "So you're only a baby boy !!" Josuke swayed the little side to side as he looked down at him.
Rohan looked up at what he deemed to be his now caregiver[*] and smiled. "Bubba!!" He took his thumb out of his mouth and reached his hands out towards Josuke's face. At the group watched him it was almost like they simultaneously decided to care for the little one together. "How about we put away the horror movies for now, what would you like to watch Ro?" Koichi suggested and started putting away the movies that were spread across the floor. Rohan moved around in his friends lap as he heard the familiar voice. "Cartoons !!" Rohan's voice was higher pitched and he climbed out of Josuke's lap and onto the carpeted floor. "Do you have pbs kids Josuke?" Okuyasu asked as he remembered all the cartoons he loved watching when he was a kid we're on that channel.
"Hmm I might though we might have to pull it up on my computer" Josuke went to go grab his tv remote and looked through all the channels he had. Like he guessed pbs kids wasn't anywhere to be seen. "Ro! Any specific shows you wanna watch?" Josuke called out as he picked up his computer and searched up the website. Fortunately he had a decently sized computer so if they wanted they all could huddle up and watch together. That's exactly what they did to. When the little's attention was caught he crawled over to Josuke to look at the screen. Koichi got all the blankets and pillows from the bed and put them onto the floor making them into a little mat for them to lay on. Okuyasu moved all the snacks onto the bed so they wouldn't get spilled over and got comfortable on the floor bed that was made. They all got comfortable with Koichi laying on the left side and Okuyasu laying on the right side with Josuke and Rohan laying in the middle with the computer being in the front center so everyone could see.
"Do you need anything little one?" Josuke asked once they all got settled down. "Hmm" Rohan mumbled even though he knew exactly what would make the night perfect. A sippy cup filled with juice so he had something to drink and something to keep in his mouth that wasn't his thumb. "You can have anything, don't worry Ro. We'll do anything for you" Koichi reminded him with a gentle tone. "Sippy wif juice" Rohan blushed at the attention he was getting and hid his face between Josuke's side and the blanket underneath them. Since Koichi had the stand with the longest range he was tasked with having Reverb go grab one of Shizuka's sippy cups from one of the kitchen cabinets and filling it with any juice that was in the fridge.
"Here you go" Reverb came in and shut the door then flew towards the little to give him the sippy cup. "Thanks" Rohan smiled and sat up just enough so he wouldn't spill any of the juice. "Ready to start the show?" Josuke asked everyone who replied with either a hum or verbal agreement. Shining diamond shut off the lights and reverb made a small sticker of the word 'light' as a make shift nightlight. "Let's get started then" Josuke smiled and started the first episode of the cartoon 'pinkalicious'. The rest of the night was quiet as they all watched, Rohan was absorbed in the show and drank his juice contently while Koichi and Josuke fell asleep on about the fifth episode.
Though Okuyasu remained awake as he was used to staying up; he played with Rohans hair as a way to keep his hands busy. When a couple more episodes passed Okuyasu checked the time and it was late almost early morning. "Come on Ro, it's time to go night night." Okuyasu gently reached forward and shut off the computer. When he got no response he looked down and realized the little was already fast asleep with the sippy cup close to his mouth and his other hand curled up to his chest. A smile came across the caregiver's face and he laid down himself, ready to snooze away with his group of friends.
