Through drowsy eyes Kaito recognized the wild orange hair belonging to the man he invited into his bed last night sitting at the end of it. Even for unkept hair such as Vector’s there were wisps of hair sticking upwards that usually didn’t.
The ginger sat crossed legged with the covers completely off him. Hanging on the end of the bed was the leather jacket owned by the carrot head. He was digging through one of the pockets.
What for Kaito didn’t know, he just wanted to lay back down on the pillow beckoning him to fall back asleep. He let it lure him in.
Ice blue eyes closed tightly, burrowing his head further into the pillow until the sound of something clicking entered his ears. Kaito lifted his head to see puffs of smoke leaving the ginger’s lips.
Though it was honestly a mistake to turn your back on Vector as though he could be doing anything other than something stupid. They were particularly swimming in thin flammable thread.
Kaito could no longer feel the sleep in his eyes, catching Vector’s attention when he sat up. “Oi. Are you smoking?” Didn’t even bother trying to hide the annoyance in his voice. Someone like Yuma would’ve treaded lightly upon hearing his reaction.
Vector merely continued. “Yeah. I needed one.”
“You’re going to set off the fire alarm.”
“I took out the batteries.”

“…What?”
“I had that problem before. Those bitches are really loud.”
Kaito glared until Vector conceded. Of course, he didn’t. So the blonde just held out his hand. “Give it to me.”
The edges of Vector’s lips lifted upwards, getting in one last puff before handing over the cigarette. He held it so Kaito could grab it from the orange end as to not burn his hand.
Kaito lied down and turned over on his stomach. He reached over and twisted the cigarette on its head, using the bedside table like some kind of ashtray even if it left a small black spot. Looking over his shoulder to glare at Vector as he did it.
Vector laughed a little though it sounded unsure like he had no idea what he just witnessed. “That’s even more dangerous.”
Kaito turned back around and reached his leg over, using his foot to push Vector over. Kaito climbed on top, pinning down his wrists. “What if Haruto was here? He’d breathe that shit in.”
“You sent him to his friend’s place so we could have some alone time.” Vector lifted himself up to kiss his nose playfully.
Kaito huffed. “And now you’re trying to burn down my house.”
“Not actively….Despite what it seems. I wouldn’t have smoked if Haruto was here anyway.” Even though Vector answered so nonchalantly he sounded honest. Anyone who knew him knows that getting honesty out of him was hard to strangle out.
Kaito sighed again, letting Vector go and gave him enough room to sit up. “I still don’t want any cigarettes in this house.”
“Alright. Easy fix.”
Vector returned to his jacket to grab something from a different pocket. He pulled out a silver object the size of his palm. He noticed Kaito staring at him.
“Is that a vape?” The blonde asked.
“Yeah.”
Vector brought it up to his lips only to be interrupted by Kaito shoving him with his foot. “Take it outside.”
