"Aw! Is the big bad bat all sad because of little ol' me?" Joker laughed, prancing around Batman seemingly a little too delighted with his catch.
Batman and Joker had been playing the same cat and mouse game for years; and while Batman would catch Joker he never stayed imprisoned for long. Arkham was a joke honestly. The Joker had never really been sure why Batman kept throwing him in there anytime he would foil his plans.
He knew Batman was against killing, that in itself was mystifying. However there were so many other things that the Bat could do. But noooo, just send him back to the nut house. Joker couldn't help but laugh at his inner musings.
"You really should smile more Batsy, you're gonna get frown lines you know. Then where will you be? Oh right, dead, since I'm not planning on letting you go alive." He watched as Batman just stared at him. The big really wasn't much fun, he'd tried torturing him in the past and the big brute just took it. Where's the fun if they don't beg? If they don't scream for their lives?
As he turned around to continue his flagrant teasing of the man in a bat costume, the glass to the upper warehouse windows shattered. Falling onto the ground and all over him. But of course the little birdlings found him. The stupid flock that sticks together. He watched as three of them repelled down to the floor. This really wasn't worth his time or effort today.
"Just in time to save daddy bat. You should appreciate them more Batman. With as many times as you've failed them I'd have let you die by now." He walked himself backwards as they all just stared at him. "Bye Bye birdies" He pulled some smoke pellets from his pockets and threw them onto the floor.
This wouldn't be the last they'd seen of him.
