It was a nice afternoon, a breeze cooled down the heat of May. Tsukasa walked up to the rooftop where him and Rui would always meet. Rui laid down on a bench, sleeping. Tsukasa approached him, looking over him. Rui was actually asleep, surprisingly. But then again, PE was rough today, and Rui was extremely tired. But for some reason, he felt different about Rui. There were butterflies in his stomach. His cheeks burned red, and his mind began to drift away at his beauty. Rui opened his eyes and smiled. "Tsukasa-kun..." Rui mumbled, staring into his eyes. "Wow, you fell asleep up here?" Tsukasa questioned. Rui sat up, making their faces meet closed. "Good afternoon..or morning.." He said, still seemingly tired. It was odd to see him so tired. "Cmon, sleepy head, we gotta go home soon!" Tsukasa demanded, but in a soft way. Rui just kept staring at Tsukasa. After a while, Tsukasa looked away. "No.." Rui mumbled and grabbed Tsukasa's face and brought it closer to his face. He examined his eyes. Rui smiled suddenly, and Tsukasa blushed. "What are you doing?"
"Your eyes are like..pretty little stars shooting everywhere. Constellations everywhere.." Rui said. Tsukasa's cheeks turned red. "R-Rui!" Rui realized what he was doing and let go, pulling away. "Ah- my apologies. I was a bit out of it, haha.." Rui smiled awkwardly. "Its fine!" Tsukasa said, smiling and sitting next to Rui. The rest of that day went normally. When Tsukasa got home however...
"AAAAAAAAH!! IT FELT LIKE HE WAS GONNA KISS ME OR SOMETHING!" Tsukasa yelled, shoving his face into a pillow. Touya and Saki were hearing his rant. "Maybe he did..?" Touya said, questioning himself. He wasn't too good at the whole matchmaking thing. "Yeah, maybe he did! But he might be having second thoughts." Saki said. "Gosh, I hope he wants to kiss me..I wanna kiss him!"
"Wow, thats straight to the point." Touya said. Saki sighed. "Maybe you can ask Emu and Nene to help. They might have better advice on how to really navigate it!" Saki suggested, Touya just nodded with her. Tsukasa lifted his face from the pillow. "Hmm..I will. We have a show coming up with a kiss scene between me and Rui's character..maybe instead of a stage kiss, I'll actually kiss him!" Tsukasa proclaimed. Saki jumped. "Perfect!"
"Okay..can we go to eat now guys? It's been 15 minutes." Touya said.
After dinner, Tsukasa sat in his room, unable to sleep. He remembered Rui's description of his eyes. He blushed. But maybe he had a chance. He wanted Rui, badly. He wanted to ask Emu and Nene if it was a good idea, so he simply grabbed his phone and texted them.
Tsukasa: GUYS.
Nene: what, u just disturbed my sleep
Emu: WHAT HAPLENED TSUKASA?????
Tsukasa: I have a plan, i want to kiss Rui. What if I kissed him instead of doing a stage kiss this weekend?

Nene: wait thats actually good
Emu: YEAH!! we will help you :D
Tsukasa: Thank u guys
Emu: we have to HInt thoughh
Nene: lets make them go on a double date w us emu
Emu: PERFECT I WANNA GO ON A DATE
Tsukasa: omg. a date.
Nene: why not
Nene: i think he'll want to get closer, he clearly likes u too
Tsukasa: good idea!!!! GO TEXT HIM
Nene: ok
Emu: YAYYYYY!! have a WANDAHOi night guys !!!!!! :DD!!!!!

Tsukasa put down his phone and screamed into his pillow. He did it. He might have a date with Rui, and Rui clearly likes him. Tsukasa's phone kept beeping but he kept hiding his face. He'll just check it in the morning. Tomorrow, Friday.
Tsukasa woke up, sweating. His hair was messy. He yawned and sat up, immediately checking his phone. Rui had accepted..and called him twice. Tsukasa grew confused, and realized, "OH CRAP IM LATE!" Tsukasa ran out of bed, quickly getting on his outfit, grabbing a piece of toast and ran out of the house with his bag. Saki and Touya had left already. He was 2 hours late.
Tsukasa finally showed up, tired from running. It was a free period, and he sunk down into a corner of a classroom, tired. He munched on his toast, lonely. But not for long. Rui saw him and walked into the empty classroom. "Tsukasa-kun, are you alright?" Rui sat down next to him. "Yeah..I was just up super late. I couldn't sleep..." Tsukasa said. "Thats a shame. Well, I assume you know about this 'double date' that Emu and Nene planned."
"Yeah. I mean, w-we aren't like a couple or something though, but it'll be fun!" Tsukasa laughed nervously. Rui smiled. "Yeah. And it'll be a nice outing before the show."
"Mhm!" Tsukasa thought about the show, and his plan. He was excited. More than ever.
Finally, after a short school day, he arrived home. He got ready for that date, totally pumped up. He kept checking if his outfit and hair was okay. Saki gave him a bit of lip oil, and a bit of blush. Touya gave him advice, most of it was just to be himself, and how to get closer to him. Tsukasa was ready. He grabbed his bag with his phone, and money, and went on his way to the restaurant. It only took 15 minutes to get there. When he arrived, Rui was the first one there. He sat next to him. "Ah, hey Tsukasa." Rui smiled. "Hi! Where's Emu and Nene?" Tsukasa asked. "They said they'll be here soon." Rui replied. And almost on cue, the couple walked in. "Speak of the devils." Rui grinned. Emu and Nene came and sat with them. "Sorry we got here a bit later. Emu was taking a while.."
"Because I wanted to look awesome!!" Emu beamed. The two started deciding on what to eat, while Tsukasa and Rui just examined their behavior. Their shoulders touched, the two tense as stone. "They work so well together..I wish I had that."
"I'm sure it'll come soon, ynow. You're a nice person. Anyone would be lucky to have you.."
And in a sudden rush, Rui intertwined his fingers with Tsukasa's. His heartbeat grew faster, and he started to feel warm, nervous. Rui smiled lightly. He whispered in Tsukasa's ear, "I've always been yours. You just seem to be nervous about telling me that you barely realized it..so..would you be so kind as to take me away, Tsukasa-kun?" Rui chuckled. Tsukasa went red. Bright, bright red. "Aw, your blushing..how cute."
"S-Shush!!"
"But I love to tease you. I know how to push your buttons, my dear boyfriend." And suddenly, Tsukasa hid his face. Emu and Nene noticed. "Well, I guess it worked, dear."
"We're geniuses!" Emu hugged Nene in victory.
That night, Emu and Nene left earlier, leaving the new couple alone. They immediately ran off to the local arcade to just be happy. Barely anyone was there, and they danced together to the music that played in the background. It was one of The Smith's songs. For a while, they just played around, went into the photo booth and made out. They were happy. "Ynow..this is my first actual date." Tsukasa said. "Its mine too. We're doing pretty well, though." Rui smiled and kissed Tsukasa again. Their minds were lost the moment they put a hand on the other. Especially Rui. Tsukasa's touch drove him crazy. Tsukasa could feel it. When his hands became shaky, and his breath got heavier. Rui was nervous, but it was okay. Tsukasa was just as nervous. They kept making out for the next couple minutes until a worker interrupted them and they had to leave. Tsukasa was laughing about how shocked the worker was. Rui was a bit embarrassed, but Tsukasa's confidence gave him a boost. That night, they walked home.
"Im so tired.." Tsukasa whined and leaned onto Rui's shoulder. "Do you want me to carry you into your house?" Rui asked. Tsukasa nodded, and said, "I want you to stay..with me..in the house. Please.." Tsukasa now had his face buried in Rui's chest. "Hm. Alright. I'll stay with you." Rui smiled. Tsukasa gave Rui his keyes and had him open the house, then carry him in and to his bed. He laid him down, turned down the lights and then crawled into bed with him. He pulled the covers over them. Tsukasa wrapped his arms around Rui, getting close. Their legs were intertwined. Rui had his arms around Tsukasa too. They just cuddled like that and fell asleep together. Tsukasa was cozy, so was Rui. His heartbeat was fast though. All that happiness stayed with him. Saki and Touya looked over the sleepy couple and fist bumped each other. "Finally, they're a couple!" Saki whispered.
The morning came, and it was barely 10 AM when Rui woke up. But he didnt move, and waited until Tsukasa woke up. Tsukasa's eyes fluttered open, and his hazy eyes looked at Rui. Rui moved a bit but Tsukasa tightened his grip. "Ah- Tsukasa-kun?"
"Don't leave." Tsukasa said.
"Don't leave my arms.." Hearing those words made Rui happy. To Tsukasa, Rui's touch was the best thing ever. So Rui happily stayed with him. Just in his room, holding him, kissing him.
It was true love, honestly.
