As Lauren poured the last bucket of water in her house as a distraction for anyone thinking she did it She smiled as she finished her work.
"They honestly won't expect a thing.." Dylan said with a grin forming on his face.
"They will only suspect you, Scott, or Shubble.." She said as she knew Dylan was willing to take the blame for her and they could easily get out of it with the help of the mystery man.
"I feel so evil doing this.. but eh." Dylan admitted he really felt evil and wanted to run away but brushed it off after a pause that made Lauren question Dylan.
"You better not tell ANYONE.." Lauren said in a harsh tone to make sure that Dylan didn't betray her on this mission they are doing together.
"I-I won't.." Dylan really wanted to run away and tell everyone about this couldn't.. he was scared of the mystery man.. he didn't want to test his luck on this.
"Good!" Lauren said in a much sweeter tone than moments before.
A blood moon is rising
"Oh no.." Dylan said grabbing Lauren by the arm and dragging her to an underground base he made for blood moons. He placed some blocks to block the entrance.
A note was sent to Lauren right after they entered and blocked the entrance
"Read it!" Dylan said curiously
Well done Lauren you've done a spiffing job if I may say so myself.
Your reward is, awaiting you at your bedside. Make sure to bring your partner in crime!..
"W-What, how do they know..!?" Dylan said fearing for the worst as Lauren looked scared as she held the letter in her hands.
"I-I honestly don't know.. he probably does..!" Lauren said as she pulled Dylan into a tight hug.
Smajor1995 has joined the game
"Scott just joined, Scott just joined!" Dylan panicked as he looked at the chat.
"Blood moon!" Lauren typed out in chat and the next thing they saw relieved them.
Smajor1995 has left the game
"That's good.." Dylan sighed in relief at the message but all of a sudden..
A voice rang in their ears as Lauren put her hands up to cover her ears. Then the voice spoke
I am always around
As if in sync music started playing while they were in the cave with absolutely no one around except them.
"Lauren the blood moons over.." Dylan said as the music still played in the background.
"Let's go get our prize..?" Lauren said heading up the stairs.
"Sure.." Dylan said following Lauren to her house
After a little bit of walking the music grew fainter as they walked further which was reasonable.
When Lauren opened the door to her house water came with it.
"Forgot about that" Lauren said giggling as she swam into her house.
Dylan smiled and went in with Lauren to go get their prize.
"Here!" Lauren said pointing to the chest that was pristine and no water was on it.
Dylan came up and opened the chest to a variety of items.
Diamond helmets for both of them some pufferfish, cod, clown fish, a strange bow with some arrows, and a glowing fishing rod.
"Woah! It's all duplicated..!" Dylan said, grabbing a dead fish that stunk.
"Ooo!" Lauren said, grabbing the strange and glowing bow.
"What's that?" Dylan said, running his thumb through the weird embellishments that were on the bow.
"And this fishing rod!?" Lauren said, smiling at it as it had some sort of enchantment on it.
"Yeah we better keep these somewhere safe!" Dylan said, stuffing all of his stuff in his inventory.
"I think inventory is the safest bet." Lauren said taking her stuff and putting it in her inventory.
Everyone has joined the game
"Oh no.." Dylan said as it read the text.
"WHAT THE!?" They heard Brit yell.
"MEETING NOW!!" Scott yelled loud enough for everyone to hear.
Lauren and Dylan nodded at each other and ran to their meeting spot that everyone usually met up for funerals.
"So I'm getting reports from a lot of people that their house is flooded with water.. is this correct?" Scott said
Everyone (almost) yelled yes, but Shubble shook her head and everyone's eyes were on her.
"IT WAS YOU!" Yammy yelled
"I-it wasn't! I promise!" Shubble said shyly as she defended herself
"I don't think it was Shubble as my house wasn't flooded." Scott admitted making everyone quiet down.
"Nor was mine.." Dylan said, speaking up so no one would think it was him for his late response
"So 3 people's houses weren't flooded is that correct?" Scott said questioning everyone
"I'll take that as a yes." Scott said after moments of silence.
"I don't think it's me, Dylan, or Shubble.. so it has to be one of the people from the village.." Scott said, sighing as he didn't want to make any accusations.
"WELL WHO IS IT!?" Yammy yelled at Scott because of her hard work being flooded and both Lauren and Dylan felt a pang of guilt but ignored it.
"I don't know Yammy.." Scott admitted putting his head down on the desk where his microphone was sitting.
"Lauren, Dylan? How about you two..? You were the only ones online at the time before I came online?" Scott said not wanting to make any accusations without full proof of them doing it.
"Wasn't, us.. There was a blood moon when we were online! When we came to check, my house was flooded!" Lauren said angrily as she was a fun and energetic person, most people were surprised at her anger.
"I see.. so they must've taken the chance of everyone being offline and everyone hiding to their advantage and flooded everyone's houses except for me,Dylan, and Shubble.." Scott said with a confused expression on his face.
"I honestly can't suspect anyone.. with this small amount of evidence." Scott admitted looking at everyone
"Meeting dismissed.." Scott said would he give up the fight..? Absolutely not. He had to find out who it was. Which meant he had to step up his investigation
Everyone's whispers broke outside and others stayed to help Scott. Lauren and Dylan left the earliest.
"Mission succeeded.." Lauren whispered in Dylan's ear.
Dylan on the other hand felt a pang of guilt in his stomach as he was friends with all of them enough for Scott to clear him.
"You okay Dylan..?" Lauren asked, patting his head.
"Yeah..!" Dylan said, trying to keep a smile on his face.
"You sure..?" Lauren said still walking to her house as mystery man empited it moments before.
"I'm here for you, you should know that..!" Lauren said, stopping and walking up to Dylan and pulling him into a tight hug.
"I-I I'm scared.. I wanna tell everyone but I can't.." Dylan admitted as he dug his face into Lauren's outfit.
"..." Lauren didn't speak all she did was rub Dlyan's back and pat his head.
"A-are you mad at me..?" Dylan asked as he shed a tear.
"No." Lauren said straight up still comforting Dylan.
"Come on inside." Lauren said grabbing Dylan's arm and dragging him inside.
Lauren dragged Dylan in putting him on her bed.
"Sleep." Lauren's voice was weird and it was straight forward but suddenly Dylan was overwhelmed by the feeling of tiredness.
"O-okay.." Dylan stuttered while saying this and he yawned passing out moments later.
"Sweet dreams~" Was what Lauren said last or at least what Dylan heard last
