Hunter looks around, frowning. He was..home? Well, not 'home', per say. Moreso back in the Isles, walking with Belos alongside the ocean. His cardinal companion, Flapjack, was hiding in his coat, letting out nervous, barely audible chirps.
"Hunter.." Belos speaks up after a while, looking down at him.
"Y-yes, sir..?" Hunter looks at Belos, eyes wide. He knew deep down Belos was a bad guy, but he was still the blonde's uncle.
No matter what he did to his dad..
"Do you trust me?" He asks, approaching a cliff.
Any sensible witchling would Answer no, especially considering the Emperor's Day Of Unity scandal, but despite his urge to shake his head and scream no, he felt himself nodding. "Of course I do. You're my Uncle."
"Good." Hunter could hear the Emperor's smile as he looks down at the boiling sea. Watching the waves crash against the rock, barely missing his face, which didn't even raise a reaction. "Would you mind stepping closer?"
"Uh.." Hunter did mind stepping closer, this was plenty close, considering he could feel the heat of the sea from where he stood.
Though, before he could say no, he could feel a pair of strong arms picking him up.
"Into the ocean, Boss?" They ask as Hunter squirms in their grip.
"Not yet.." The emperor steps forward, reaching into Hunter's coat and pulling out the now screaming Flapjack.
"No.." Hunter frowns, tears in his eyes. "No! You can do what you want to me, but leave Flapjack Alone!" He kicks at the air.
"Flapjack?" The Emperor smiles, looking the palisman over. "It's disappointing enough you have a palisman, but you named It?" He looks to the person holding Hunter, giving a nod towards the Ocean.
"No..no, please.."
"NO!" Hunter shoots up, tears rolling down his cheeks. He looks around, red eyes wide. He was at the human's house, her friends sleeping around him, Flapjack sleeping calmly on his pillow. "Another nightmare.." He sighs, struggling to a standing position. Maybe a glass of water would calm him down.
He walks towards the kitchen, grabbing a glass and turning on the sink. He places the glass under the running water, watching it fill up. Watching the water splash against the metal tub.
"Hunter..?"
The blonde looks over, nearly dropping his glass once he realizes it was only Willow. "Willow..!" He frowns a bit. "I was just..how long have you been awake?"
"Not long." Willow runs a hand through her hair. "I'm only up because someone told me you weren't in bed and he was worried." She points to the cardinal on her shoulder, who chirps and flies towards Hunter.
"Flapjack, I'm fine." Hunter Yawns softly. "You should be in bed." He mutters, rubbing the palisman's head. "I'll be back in a few minutes."
Willow smiles a bit. "Are you sure you're fine? Because you're getting water all over your sleeve." She laughs quietly.
Hunter squeaks a bit, turning off the sink. "Oh! That's why I was getting wet." He laughs nervously, sitting down. "Flapjack, you can go back to bed. I'll be there in a bit."
Flapjack chirps something about a nightmare, flying back into the living room.
Willow joins Hunter at the table, humming softly. "What was that about a nightmare?" She tilts her head innocently.
"Oh, It's nothing," Hunter waves a hand dismissively, "just a stupid reoccurring nightmare I've been having since we got here." He laughs nervously.
"I'm no expert on mind magic, but that sounds an awful lot like something." She frowns. "Mind if I ask about it?"
Hunter sighs. "I don't know much, but..It's about Belos. We're at the boiling ocean and he..throws me in." He gulps down his water.
Willow frowns. "That's awful. Do you really think he'd do that?"
"No.." Hunter sighs. "I think he already has.." He mutters, looking away.
"What do you mean? Willow tilts her head, frowning.
"Willow, I..how do I say this.." He takes a deep breath. "I'm a grimwalker."
"My dads told me about Grimwalkers." She hums softly. "I always thought they were..uglier."
Hunter covers his ears, humming nervously. He shakes his head, smile fading. "I don't know who I'm a grimwalker of, but I don't think it was of a witch." He messes with his hair, sighing.
"Well, witch or not. Grimwalker or not. You're still our friend." Willow wraps her arms around his shoulders. "How about we ask Gus tomorrow about what he saw and find out for ourselves?"
Hunter smiles, leaning against her shoulder. "That would be lovely, Willow." He hums, yawning. "But..maybe we could start when the sun's up."
"Deal." She hums, messing with his hair. "Now, let's get back to bed before Flapjack wakes up Clover and they both wake up Luz."
