Chapter Text

"Elizabeth, you may not go near the animatronics" William said in the car.

"Why not, father?"

"I will tell you late, but remember to not get close to the animatronic. Be a good girl and listen."

Élisabeth was a good listener, but she wanted to play with the clown animatronic her father made. Her father had warned her multiple times before they got to the restaurant. He also told her numerous times at the restaurant. She tried her hardest to listen. She wanted to be a good girl. She wanted her father to be proud of her. Instead of seeing the robot, she played games with Michael and ate pizza. Élisabeth knew her father would be pleased if she listened, but she couldn't stop thinking about the animatronic. The restaurant was covered in posters of the pretty metal lady. She could also see children rushing in and out of the robot's room.

As she chewed her pizza slice, Élisabeth wondered why she was forbidden to see the animatronic her father made for her while other children were allowed to. Élisabeth decided to ask her father about it. She rose from her seat, pushed in her chair, and tiptoed to the area where her father was. He didn't seem busy, so she spoke up.

"Father?"

He turned to her and sighed. "Yes, Elizabeth?"

"May I ask you a question?"

William glared at her. "If it is about that robot again, you are prohibited from going near it."

"I know, Father," she said, "I just wanted to ask why I am the only person who isn't allowed to see the animatronics. The other children are allowed to play with them, but I am not. Why is that, father?"

William rubbed his temples. He didn't have a way to explain why he forbade her to see tbe robots without revealing their true purpose. He sighed again. "Do not question me, Elizabeth."

"Sorry, Father."

The reason you are not allowed to "play" with Baby for your own well-being. The animatronics aren't ready yet and could hurt someone on accident like what happened in '83. I do not want that unfortunate child to be you. Do you understand, Elizabeth?"

Élisabeth hesitated for a second then nodded. "Yes, Father."

William sighed. He could tell she didn't believe him. He needed her to stay away from the animatronics. He believed that Élisabeth could be massive help with his work. She seemed to be following in his footsteps. She would be the perfect successor. "Go bother Michael or something. Don't get close to the animatronics"

"Okay, Father."
William tsked and walked away. She looked around the pizzeria for her elder brother until she found him in the arcade. She snuck up behind him as he was playing Asteriods. "BOO!"

Michael jumped up in suprise. Élisabeth snickered. "Libby, what the fuck?"

Élisabeth looked at him with a shit-eating grin. "Sorry." She said unapologetically. Michael scoffed and rolled his eyes then went back to playing Asteriods. Élisabeth took a coin purse out of her skirt pocket, took out two quarters, and put them in the Pac-Man machine. She played the game and ococcasionally made conversation with Michael. She playing when reached level 20 because she was bored.

"Mike. Imma get some food."

"Okay."

Élisabeth exited the arcade room and went to the counter. There was a woman at the counter. Élisabeth recognized her as someone who used to work at Freddie's. "Hello! What would you like?" she beamed. Élisabeth glanced at the options.

"May I please have popcorn?"

"Of course!" The lady handed her a bag of popcorn. Élisabeth thanked her and walked away. She saw a couple of kids go into Baby's room. She was going to follow them but....

"The animatronics aren't ready yet and could hurt someone"

...she remembered her father's words. After a few moments of thinking, she decided that seeing her clown robot up close was worth the risk of getting hurt. She followed the kids into the room. She had only seen Baby from far away, but she was even more beautiful up close. After waiting for so long, Élisabeth got to see her pretty 7.2 ft tall clown robot. She was covered with glitter. Élisabeth beamed. She loved glitter. Everything about her clown robot was perfect. This was the first gift her father had ever gotten her.

"Hello! Father isn't watching. Please don't tell him I came here. I wanted to watch your show too."

"Hello there, Élisabeth!" a soft, feminine voice spoke up.

"You know my name?"

"Of course I do! I recognize you from somewhere though I don't remember where..." She paused as if she was trying to remember. "I remember! You are Daddy's other daughter! Daddy talks about you a lot."

Élisabeth's eyes widened at this. Her father, the one who didn't seem to acknowledge her existence, talked a lot about her? "H-he does?"

"Yes! Daddy said you like clowns, ice cream, balloons, cats, bunnies, and drawing."

"Speaking of balloons, may I have a one? A red one, please."

"Of course," Baby took out a balloon and inflated it on her finger. She tied it and handed to Élisabeth. "Here you go!"

"Thank you!"

"What music do you like? I can sing almost any song."

"I like a lot of music. My favorite song right is I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me) by Whitney Houston."

"Let me check if I have that song in my database." After thirty seconds, Baby spoke again. "I do."

She began to sing. Élisabeth liked no loved Baby's singing. When she finished, Élisabeth applauded. "You are amazing at singing! I don't why father didn't let me come see you. You are wonderful!" Élisabeth exclaimed.

"You-"

Baby eyes turned black. She stopped singing and moving. Her stomach opened revealing a vanilla ice cream cone with sprinkles and a cherry on top.

"For me?" Élisabeth stepped closer to grab the ice cream.

[3]
She licked the ice cream.

"Mmm. This is good. Wait, where did the other children go?" She looked around and the room was empty. All the children that were in the room earlier vanished.

Élisabeth heard a loud screeching noise coming from Baby. She turned around and saw a large claw reaching for her. She didn't have time to react as it dragged her into Baby's stomach cavity.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
She dropped her ice cream. It landed on the ground with a splat!

Shortly children came rushing back into the room.

------

Élisabeth said she went to get food half an hour ago. Michael knew for sure that it didn't take someone that long to get food. He was getting worried, so he went to ask his father if he had seen her.
