Chapter Text
Clark had brought the robber to the police station when he heard jimmy pressed the alarm on his watch.
Clark took off into the sky, he hoped that jimmy was alright.
he was blessed with the sight of jimmy standing on the roof of the daily planet searching around for him.
he landed in front of the younger man. "oh, there you are, superman." jimmy said smiling.
"jimmy, you called ." Clark said walking up to his friend. "what's wrong?"
"I was just thinking about some things." jimmy said looking up at Clark. " things that I have been thinking about for along time."
"like what." Clark baited. "do you remember the day we first met?" jimmy supplied. "at the daily planet." Clark answered.
"no, we met in Smallville." jimmy said. "what?" Clark blinked. "at first i was trying to wrap my brain around it." jimmy said.
"jimmy, i was going to tell you." Clark said. "i didn't want to lie you." "but why, Clark?" jimmy asked. "you know you can trust me."
"it's not that i don't trust you." Clark said walking toward the ledge." i was trying to protect you."
" Clark." jimmy said. "I'm sorry i didn't tell you." Clark said." There is no one i trust more than you."
Clark turned back around and walked back to jimmy.
"there was so many times i wanted to tell you, but i keep thinking that i needed to keep you safe."
"isn't that why you gave me this?" jimmy asked showing Clark the bracelet.
Clark smiled at that. "yes, that's why."
"i forgive you, Clark." jimmy said. "I love you."
Clark took jimmy's hands and cleared his throat. " I meant what i said to you that night."
"that when you're with me, you feel like you did the first time you flew?" jimmy said.
" yes, that." Clark said kissing both of jimmy's hands.
"so, are you busy?" Clark asked.
"what do you mean?" jimmy asked. "I'm pretty sure perry has you doing some menial task or something." Clark said.
"no, I just needed to get out and get some air." jimmy answered. " you know we never really had a chance to talk, when you first came back."
"yeah, I'm sorry about that. "Clark said. "I'm fine, Clark." jimmy said." superman belongs to the world, I always understood that."
"superman may belong to the world, but Clark Kent will always belong to you." Clark said. "you really mean that?" jimmy asked.
"it's the one thing i know to be true." Clark said." i will always make time for you, I Need you just as much as the world needs me."
"jimmy, come with me." Clark said holding out his hand. "where?" jimmy asked.
"it's a surprise." Clark said. jimmy took Clark's hand and he pulled him close to his chest.
jimmy wrapped his arms around Clark's neck and suddenly he was in the air. jimmy opened his eyes and saw blue ones starring back at him.
"Clark." jimmy said breathlessly. Clark closed the distance between them. this kiss felt different then all the others.
when they broke apart jimmy felt different. Clark felt like his skin was buzzing. over the years it felt like they were stopping and starting every time.
but here in this moment right now, it felt like they were complete. right now Clark and jimmy felt like everything was falling into place.
"we're here." Clark said. jimmy let go and looked around. they were on Kent farm. " what are we doing here?" jimmy asked.
"this is our home, this is where we can just be." Clark said." no one can bother us."
"it's been so long, since I've been here." jimmy said. "well now you can be here all the time." Clark said. "like i told you, I'll always make time for you."
"i don't know what to say, Clark." jimmy said. "i'm so grateful for you, I'm so happy that you came back to me"
"I'll always be here, jimmy." Clark said." you'll never be without me." jimmy took Clark by the hand and followed him into the farmhouse.
