Hello and welcome everyone to UNRAVELLING! This'll- hopefully- be a fun game for us to play without too much stress/work on either side, but to make sure it goes smoothly, we have to explain some things.
1.) What is the game?
This game is a mix between a choose your story and a murder-mystery/mafia game. The goal of the game, as you can infer from the description, is to find the killer before everyone dies- probably a task that's easier said than done. Like a mafia game, there'll be special, secret roles, with some being bad, some being neutral, and some being good (meaning they'll help you find out who the killer is!). However, since it's also like a CYS, you won't be playing any characters individually, but rather dictating their choices altogether.
Got it? Maybe not, but I'll explain more!!
2.) Roles
A.) First-off, roles. What are they?
Killer: self-explanatory, find out who it is and win the game! (BAD)
Accomplices: cats helping the killer for unknown reasons... finding them will make it easier to narrow down who the killer is, and possibly score some extra information! (BAD)
Possessed: a cat who will unexpectedly take the life of one of their clanmates... though I suppose all these deaths are unexpected. Is this cat innocent, or a bad guy? Did they do it on purpose? That's a chance you'll have to take! (NEUTRAL)
Obsessive: a cat who, upon the death of their friend, will become exceedingly tense until they lash out and kill someone, regardless of if they're the killer or not! (NEUTRAL)
Soulmates: two cats who are so deeply in love that they're connected mentally. Once their lover dies, the other will recieve hints about their killer. Sometimes the dreamscape can be misleading, though... so are they entirely trustworthy? (NEUTRAL)
Wanderer: a cat who can stop a murder with a 20% chance of dying. Should they survive, you players will recieve 1-2 hints about the killer and/or the accomplices! (GOOD)
Scholar: a cat who can research stranger topics than the average cat to help you narrow down who the killer is! (GOOD)
Herbalist: a cat who can find and use unknown herbs that may help you discover the killer! (GOOD)
Detective: a cat who's always trying to uncover the mystery of the killer plaguing their Clan! Every four chapters (potentially apt. to change), they'll receive a hint about the killer/accomplices, however... well, curiosity killed the cat, didn't it?
B.) How will you figure out the roles?
There are three ways to figure out a cat's role!
You can win, in which all roles will be revealed.
You can vote every chapter on which cat you'd like to know the role of.
Or, they can die, after which their role will be revealed!
3.) Voting
Every chapter, you have FOUR things to vote on.
A.) whose POV you'd like to see next.
B.) which cat you'd like to know the role of (as previously mentioned).
C.) which choice you'd like to go with.
D.) if you should vote on the killer (and if so, who?).
Be smart when voting on POVs, as certain roles can give you special options to finding the killer!
4.) Warnings
A.) This will be posted on Wattpad as well as here, so please don't vote twice!
B.) you all probably knew this already, but there will be themes/descriptions of blood, violence, and death! Please be aware of that!
