Terri asked the orc, 'you think freedom caused chaos?'
'Of course it did,' she answered. 'But my lord is healing the world. At at some point all the people of arda will acknowledge that they are free under his rule and control.'
The orc sighed, and her breathing was heavier.
'The lake where I woke up….I was not alone. there was another. We watched the brilliant stars together. Of course the stars are only shining rocks and I don't waste time now dreaming by watching them.
But this other was kind, and I found a beautiful stone. Washed smooth by the water, I suppose. I gave it to him.
When I was caught he ran into the woods and I do not believe he had the privilege I have had.'
Terri's blood chilled for some reason.
The orc licked her lips, 'come closer, I wish to whisper something to you.'
'Naw, 'Terri said, 'you think I was born yesterday.'
The orc laughed grimly, 'yes, indeed I do think that. There is no water…so….'
Wounded as the orc was she pulled herself up and began creeping towards Terri.
Terri stood and backed up. she knew she could outmaneuver the wounded orc.
The orc gave up and collapsed.
Terri then told her,' goodbye. I hope you find peace.'
'I will,' she muttered,' in the dark thoughts of my masters.'
Terri walked on.
