Chapter Text

"Not another one..." Yoichi groaned as a note falls into his lap.

The note reads: 'here's another fanfic for you all to read and by the way this one's complete, it has 7 chaoters (:'

"Who goes first?" Izuku asked

Yoichi looks at Katsumi.

"What, why me? I'm currently going through a crisis of feelings-"

"That doesn't have to do with this story, just go." Yoichi handed him the phone.

"Fine..." The eldest sighed as he begun to read/

"What?!" Izuku yelled.

"Just let him read.." Yoichi mumbled, "we'll get through this faster of that ha[[ems..."

Izuku didn't respond so Katsumi continued.

Summary: Plot taken from the amazing Gentrychild's Murder Kitten Izuku AU!

Izuku wants to be a hero, and sometimes in order to be a hero you have to break a few bones, or in this case bite a few people. All Might can see the logic in this (though mostly he sees that his successor can do no wrong). The One for All Vestiges can see where this is going and they have concerns (except for First who only sees how cute the Ninth is, look at the baby!). Eraserhead can see a Problem Child (affectionate). All for One mostly can't see anything what with his lack of eyes, and the other Villains mostly see the error of their ways (and a bloodstained smile haunting their nightmares).

"I mean, my other self isn't wrong... but I mean I doubt the other Izuku is half as cute as Tomu-"

"Shut up Yoichi!" Izuku yelled

"No! Just admit it!"

"I have to agree with Yoichi," Katsumi said

"Yeah, but you can call me that legit, since you were our older brother Yoi and I were twins..."

"You've literally said 'were is the keyword' when I was complaining about being the same age as the version of big brother in 'My Mentor is a Gen Z' and now you're complaining that I tease you for being so adorable with squishable cheeks and ahhh, so freaking cute!" Yoichi grinned as Izuku just grumbled about technicalities not always mattering

Notes: For Gentrychild.

Gentrychild is amazing and I can only pray to the Fanfiction Gods that one day I can come up with story ideas half as good as they do! This plot is based off of the Murder Kitten AU over on Gentrychild's tumblr that I became absolutely obsessed.

"That's cool."

Midoriya Izuku was a good kid.  He kept his room neat and tidy, he was always in the top ten of his year grade-wise (no small feat considering his peer’s penchant for stealing and tampering with his school-work), he was a hard worker, and he was always more than willing to lend a kind hand whenever someone needed help.  Yes, Midoria Izuku was a good kid, and over the last 10 months All Might had had the privilege of getting to know Izuku, the number one hero had never once questioned his decision for the boy to be the ninth successor of One for All.  Until now.  Yagi Toshinori gently (for someone whose punches can change weather patterns) tried to extricate his gaunt hand from his successor’s teeth, “What are you doing?  LET GO !  You can’t just go around biting people if you want to be a hero!”  It was thankfully early enough, and the wind was blowing off of the Sea loudly enough that no one noticed the spectacle of the Symbol of Peace shaking his hand above his head trying to dislodge a small green haired apparently feral gremlin teenager on the newly cleaned sands of Dagobah Beach.

In his defense, Izuku hadn’t exactly meant to bite his childhood hero, well that’s not quite true, he had, but he hadn't decided to, it just sort of happened.  One moment he had been reaching for a single strand of blond hair in order to inherit One for All, and the next the wind had stolen it away.  All Might had just finished explaining how the quirk was transferred through DNA so it was only logical that Izuku could get the quirk through ingesting blood, and All Might’s hand was right there.  There was also the possibility that if Izuku waited for his mentor to pluck another hair All Might would recognize that the wind stealing away his hair as he was about to pass on his quirk was a sign from the Universe that he’d made a terrible mistake in choosing a pathetic quirkless Deku as his successor and snap out of whatever insanity that had made him think it would be okay to do in the first place.  Considering the boy had just spent the entire night hauling the last bit of trash off of the Beach in order to meet the deadline and inherit the quirk in time for UA’s entrance exam later that morning he may have not been thinking too clearly, what with the complete lack of sleep over the last 24 hours, so when All Might began speaking Izuku hadn’t decided to attack the man, it just happened.

“Midoriya my Boy I was just joking when I said we’d wait another 10 months, you didn’t need to try and steal the quirk.”  Toshinori, as the responsible adult tried to reason with the fourteen year old washing blood out of his mouth, completely ignoring the fact that OfA can’t be stolen (although Izuku chomping on his hand had certainly met the requirements for its transfer considering All Might was still wholly intent on passing the quirk on to Izuku).  All Might was also actively ignoring the cold dread that had run down his spine, old scars burning at the sight of eyes wild with an insatiable need to take a quirk as his own lunging towards him with white teeth bared in a promise of violence to gain what he wanted, and the pull he’d felt OfA reflexively resisting, before the quirk seemed to recognize it’s intended Ninth Holder .

Izuku had to be physically stopped from smashing his face into the ground trying to apologize with a dogza “I’m so sorry All Might!  I don’t know what came over me!  I would never bite you!  Oh my God I bit All Might I’m a villain!”  It was a good thing OfA had already been transferred successfully because Toshinori had to spend the next 40 minutes fondly explaining to his chosen successor that the kid wasn’t a villain and even if he was he probably would have legitimate reasons and as his mentor he would support Izuku 100%.  By the time the new holder of OfA got home, showered, changed and ran to the station he just barely managed to catch his train.

Naturally it was at this point, with his phone alarm set for 2 minutes prior to when his train was scheduled to reach the station nearest to UA, that Izuku took a nap. He had, after all, realized that taking THE most difficult high school entrance exam in Japan without having slept in over 24 hours was ill-advised.  Also, naps are generally a great idea, the world would honestly be a much better place if more people took naps.  Case in point, if the D-rank villain had taken a nap that morning like a certain green haired teenager instead of deciding to commit mass murder via a highly deadly airborne pathogen contained in a small glass vial he was safe from to due to his total immunity quirk, then maybe what happened that morning could have been avoided.

Unfortunately, (for the unnamed villain or rather the guy who wasn’t important enough for a sleep deprived teenager to remember the name of ) he had made poor life choices that ultimately resulted into what would later be called the Train-Car Chomp Take-Down .  Izuku was of course unaware of this as 1) it had not yet happened, and 2) he was passed out on a train seat clutching his Silver Age All Might Limited Edition Backpack to his chest like a toddler with a plushie.  No, instead all Izuku was aware of at that time was standing before a large imposing vault door surrounded by cold dark mists, and unknown muffled voices calling desperately out to him.  “... Ninth… Ninth…  NINTH!”   Hands shrouded in the same black mists were reaching for him, trying to pull him somewhere.

Izuku began to thrash, trying to escape the 7 sets of cold hands forcing him further into the mists or perhaps, in hindsight, away from the sealed vault .  In his panic he bit two of the ghosts, before the boy was jolted away by the beginnings of a loud villainous monologue.  The current situation of a train-car full of innocent civilians about to be murdered (well really they weren’t about to be murdered, the pathogen the villain had within his glass vial was an incurable disease that took a few extremely tortuous weeks to run its course before finally resulting in the person’s death) promptly put the weird probably-stress-related dream on the bottom of Izuku’s priority list where it would be forgotten until his next meeting with All Might.

"Wonder who he bit..." Izuku mumbled as the vestiges minus Yoichi (who was grinning for some reason) winced.

Listening to the Villain’s monologuing gave the ninth holder of One for All exactly enough information to conclude that the man’s quirk was super cool and useful, and he was using it to not only hurt people, but make Izuku miss the UA entrance exam.  Izuku was a good kid, sure he had been quirkless all of his life until that morning, and had wanted a quirk, but it had always been a general desire, he had never (at least not until that morning’s unfortunate misunderstanding with All Might) wanted someone else's quirk, and he had certainly never wanted someone else to not have their quirk because he knew how cruel the world was to the quirkless.  As he looked towards the man laughingly taunting his would be victims and explaining how they would suffer while he had never and would never know illness, a part of Izuku wanted, he wanted that quirk, and for the Villain not to have it, if only so he could stop the Villain from hurting everyone he wanted that quirk, why shouldn’t he have it, he could use it so much better than the other, it would feel so nice settled in his chest along with the other little stars beginning to warm him from the inside out.  Izuku was a hero-at-heart he would always try to save people, he was also sleep deprived, offended by having been rudely woken up from his nap, and pissed the fuck off generaly by how unfair the world was at large, and this Villain currently was in particular.

Witnesses and bystanders were still in a bit of shock when the train reached the station nearest to UA, and naturally did nothing to stop a green-eyed, green-haired feral incarnation of wrath from calmly stepped off; it seemed Izuku wasn’t going to be late to the exam after all.  When the police finally arrived they were pointed to a knocked out villain with a badly bleeding arm who had been tied up in his own jacket, and a still sealed glass vial carefully wrapped in a businessman's confiscated newspaper set delicately between two unoccupied seats so it wouldn’t be jostled by the train’s movement.  Everyone would later agree on the general events of the incident, there was a villain, said villain threatened to release a pathogen that would kill everyone in the train car, the villain claimed to have a quirk that made him immune to all disease (a claim backed up by the quirk registry, but not by the cold he seemed to develop less than 4 hours later the villain’s life would forever after be tormented by countless illnesses due to a seemingly non-existent immune system ), someone subdued the villain, and that same someone left before the police arrived.  It was in describing the one who took down the villain that people’s stories began to diverge; some said it was a vampire, some claimed it was a demon, some said it was obvious from the coloring that it was some sort of nature spirit, others said it was a kid - regardless everyone agreed that whatever it was that saved them, it was absolutely terrifyingly feral and bloodthirsty and they hoped to never see that blood-stained smile ever again (some of the less scrupulous however had the misfortune of it haunting their nightmares, ever a warning of what might become of them for their wicked deeds, all of them soon reformed and repented, becoming upstanding members of their communities)…

"Woooh!" Yoichi grinned, "first solo villain take down for the alternate Izuku!"

"Uhhhh, no, I mean yeah... but that's not the important part, the important part is that he looks fucking insane!" Izuku yelled.

"And you aren't?"

"In a bad way."

“So are we going to talk about what just happened…?”

“Absolutely we are, how could we not!”

“Right?  We just saw Little Ninth’s first solo villain take-down, he was amazing, I’m so proud!”

"First no..."

“Sure it was a bit sloppy, he really should have gone for the jugular not the arm, but he’s just a baby he’ll learn.”

"FIRST NO!"

"First yes!"

"Yoichi no!"

"Oh come on... I may not be feral but that would be an awesome way to defeat a villain!"

"Ugh"
