Summary
After recovering from a traumatic injury on the job, Connor returns to the force, only to discover he has been partnered with a mental health assistance android. And, unfortunately for him, that android—one GV200—is an unlabeled deviant, exiled to therapy work after a violent incident. As Connor attempts to navigate his daily life alongside this new "partner," he discovers a web of seemingly unrelated cases that connect the trade of androids with red ice distribution. With next to no help from his superiors, he wades ever deeper into a dark world that ties his personal and professional lives in inexplicable, and unfortunate, ways. To survive this case and root out the source of the criminal network, Connor must rely on the family and friends he hides himself from, and ultimately form an unbreakable bond with his crude, but loyal, GV.
