Chapter 1: The Collision

Chapter Text

“Thank God! We’re almost done.” A girl with light brown hair said as she put down the last box into the dorm room.

Another girl but with dark brown hair just smiled at her best friend. “Thanks for the help, Chorong.”

Chorong nodded and smiled. “Yongsun, Just buy me lunch and we’ll be fine.”

“De~” Yongsun responded as she let herself fall onto her bed. Chorong just rolled her eyes, and went to lay down next to her friend.

For freshman year, Yongsun was staying at another room in the dorm building, but after becoming close to Chorong, she decided to move into her dorm room, since she didn’t have a roommate. Each dorm had two rooms, a living room, and also a mini kitchen. They even had a mini bar where they’d be able to eat. In all honesty, the dorm was very luxurious and only the well-off kids stayed at that dorm. Both Chorong and Yongsun were very lucky in terms of wealth, but both surprisingly humble. Yongsun let herself thank her parents for being so hardworking to be able to stay in a place like this.

A distinct chime invaded the silence in the room. The owner of the phone took it out and smiled after reading the message. Chorong got up and headed towards the door.

“Wait, Weren’t we just talking about getting lunch right now?” The girl asked as she sat up.

Chorong immediately looked guilty as she remembered their conversation that occurred not too long ago. “Tomorrow?”

Yongsun grinned. “Bomi?”

Yongsun knew she was right after the blush that appeared on the other girl’s cheeks. “Yeah, she just finished getting settled too.”

The brunette nodded, remembering that her friend’s girlfriend was now a freshman at their college. “Tomorrow then.”

Chorong smiled gratefully at her best friend. “Thank you!”

It was Yongsun’s turn to roll her eyes as Chorong left in a hurry.

She was a little jealous, she thought after coming to college dating girls would be easier. In high school, she was popular but only with boys. Other girls in high school were too scared to come out of the closet or too envious of her. Don’t get her wrong, coming out to her parents was terrifying but her parents loved her despite her preferences. She had come to college hoping to find a girlfriend. To her disappointment, she was still single.

“Why am I lying to myself?”

She sighed as she laid back down.

“I’m very jealous.”

Chorong bit her lip as she stood in front of a restaurant, waiting for her girlfriend. She looked down on her phone wondering what was taking so long. RBW University had different dorm buildings, accommodating different types of people. Bomi didn’t come from a family like Chorong so her dorm was a regular one. Also, it was on the opposite side of campus, so instead of going from her dorm to Bomi’s, they decided to meet up at the on-campus restaurant.

Before she could look up, a warm body collided with hers.

A laugh erupted from the person currently wrapping her arms around Chorong.

“Unnie~ I missed you~” Bomi said clinging onto the older girl.

Chorong laughed. “Okay, okay, I get it, let go now Bomi~”

Bomi let go, but grinned as she held her girlfriend’s hand. “Hungry?”

Chorong nodded, and tugged on Bomi’s hand. Bomi just grinned wider as she was led into the restaurant.

They got settled onto a table, and they were just enjoying each other’s company. Both were ecstatic at the fact that they’ll be seeing each other more frequently from now on.

“How’s Yongsun-unnie?” Bomi asked as she started putting raw meat onto the grill.

Chorong smiled at the mention of her friend. “She’s good, we just finished moving her stuff into my dorm.”

Bomi put down the tongs and gave a smile. “Still single?”

Chorong let out a soft giggle, and nodded. “Still sad about it.”

Bomi laughed at that. “Does she like younger or older?”

Chorong thought for a second. “I don’t think she has an age preference.”

“Well, if she’s interested, I have a few friends who likes older girls.” Bomi said wiggling her eyebrows playfully.

Chorong giggled, “Maybe she’ll like that idea.”

Bomi suddenly gasped. “I’m going to this party later, you should bring unnie!”

Chorong raised an eyebrow, “The day hasn’t finished yet, and you’re already invited to a party?”

Bomi grinned sheepishly, scratching her cheek. “Byulyi’s girlfriend’s older sister invited us.”

Chorong was familiar with Bomi’s friend and current roommate. She was usually quiet until you got to know her, it was only when Byulyi got comfortable that she became more friendly.

“Byulyi’s girlfriend?” Chorong asked curiously.

“Yeah, Byulyi’s dating this girl named Krystal, I don’t like her much, but I can’t really say anything because Byul’s head over heels for her.” Bomi said as she started to flip the sizzling meat. “Anyway~ Krystal’s older sister, Jessica…I think, invited us.”

Chorong’s eyes widened, she’d seen Jessica with her younger sister a few time when Krystal would visit. She was gorgeous. “Wow…I didn’t know Byulyi’s got game.”

Bomi smirked and shook her head. “Her mysterious aura and quietness is her charm, because her personality turns 180 degrees when she gets close to you.”

“I see~”Chorong giggled and nodded. “But yes, Jessica always throws a huge party before the school year starts. She threw one last year too.”

Bomi smiled in excitement. “You went last year?”

“Yes, but I wasn’t friends with Yongsun then.” Chorong smiled back at her excited girlfriend…the Jung sisters were gorgeous but she wouldn’t trade anything for this girl. This girl was gorgeous inside and out.

“Yongsun-unnie wasn’t invited?” Bomi asked as she put cooked meat on her girlfriend’s rice.

Chorong hungrily ate it, and groaned at the savory taste. Bomi lightly chuckled at the reaction, patiently waiting for an answer.

After realizing that Bomi was still waiting for answer, she covered her mouth. “Bomi, everyone is invited, but she just wasn’t interested in going then.”

Bomi nodded. When she met Yongsun last year, she noticed that the older girl was a bit shy in front of strangers…ironically like her best friend. So she could imagine why she might not have wanted to go. “Well, tell her to come this time, I told some of my friends to come.”

Chorong agreed. “Enough match-making for now, let’s eat?”

Bomi smiled and began eating as well.

Chorong smiled at the image in front of her.

After lunch, Bomi told Chorong that her friends wanted help in getting ready for the party. They shared a chaste kiss, and went to their dorms.

Chorong was currently standing in Yongsun’s bedroom, watched as her best friend drooled on her pillow. She backed up a bit and started to run towards Yongsun. Jumping on top of her, Yongsun was startled at being woken up in that way.

“Wha—” Yongsun eyes shot open, instantly alarmed.

Chorong laughed and took pity as she got off her friend. “Welcome back to earth, Yong~”

Yongsun shook her head and sat up glaring at her friend. “Did you have to wake me like that?”

Chorong just grinned. “Get ready~ We’re going to a party.”

Yongsun groaned as she laid back down. “Jessica’s party?”

“Ding-Dong! Right answer~” Chorong said playfully.

“I don’t want to go…” The brunette whined.

“What if I tell you Bomi has friends who are interested in dating older girls and they’re coming?” Chorong asked staring at the figure lazily looking back at her.

Yongsun sat up and glared at Chorong. “What makes you think that’ll change my mind?”

“Because you’re lonely and jealous of my lovely relationship with Bomi.” Chorong said matter-of-factly.

The brunette rolled her eyes, and laid back down. “You’re not doing a good job of convincing me.”

Chorong groaned, and pulled on her friend’s leg. “Come on, aren’t you always whining about wanting a girlfriend. There’s going to be a lot of girls there~”

“And I’ll have no idea if they’re gay or not.” Yongsun lazily replied.

“Pleeeeeease?” Chorong gave Yongsun a pout that she knew wasn’t going to be ignored.

Yongsun took one look at her and frowned. “I hate you sometimes.”

Chorong grinned, and turned to leave. “You love me~”

Yongsun rolled her eyes. “I hate it when she’s right.”

“I don’t know if I want to go anymore?” Yongsun confessed as they walked to Jessica’s house.

Chorong glared at her friend. “You had the chance to change your mind before we left, but you chose now that were literally ten steps away from Jessica’s?” She asked as she pointed at the house emitting loud noises.

Yongsun looked at Chorong sheepishly, and took a breath. “You’re right. We’re already here. Of course, we have to go now.”

Chorong rolled her eyes. “Thank you.”

“On second thought, I can always walk back.” Yongsun said turning around.

Chorong grabbed Yongsun’s wrist. “Yong!”

“Okay, fine…Sorry.” Yongsun said.

Chorong just chuckled. “Are you nervous?”

Yongsun nodded. “Very.”

Chorong smiled at her best friend. “You’ll be fine, and if you don’t find anyone I will personally walk you out of the house.”

“Okay.” Yongsun replied, comforted by her friend’s presence.

Chorong grabbed her hand and squeezed. “You got this.”

Yongsun smiled and nodded, but internally still doubting. She knew how to socialize and have fun, but parties like this always made her nervous. She usually tried to avoid coming, but once in a while Chorong would try and drag her to a few, like right now.

Arriving at the front door, Chorong gave Yongsun one more smile and rang the doorbell.

Jessica opened the door and smiled upon seeing Chorong and Yongsun. “Hey guys! Welcome to my party!”

Both girls smiled back at the welcoming greeting, entering the house.

“Alright, I’ll let you guys enjoy, just let me know if you need me.” Jessica said with a suggestive wink towards Yongsun.

Jessica was obviously attractive, so it wasn’t weird that Yongsun turned into a tomato at the flirting. Jessica giggled lightly, but took mercy on the blushing girl and left.

Chorong immediately laughed at Yongsun after Jessica left. “I mean I guess you could try her.”

Yongsun blushed even harder. “I think I have an age preference.”

Chorong raised an eyebrow. “What is it?”

“Maybe younger? Older girls intimidate me.” Yongsun said sheepishly.

Chorong laughed again, and shook her head. Before she could say anything else, arms wrapped around her. Although it was without warning, Chorong immediately knew who it was after a familiar perfume surrounded her.

“Bomi.” She said softly.

The said girl smiled and let go, revealing herself.

“Hey.” Yongsun greeted, she liked Bomi for her best friend. Although the girl was childish, she was also very mature for her age. She kept Chorong fun but still sane.

Bomi grinned at her girlfriend’s best friend. “Hey.” She went forward to give a small hug, which was happily returned.

“Can I steal your roommate away?” Bomi asked with a small smirk.

Please get her away from me~” Yongsun played along. Chorong also played along as she gave an offended look.

Bomi chuckled. “I’ll find you later when I find some of my friends to meet you.”

Yongsun nodded, but headed towards the kitchen area to grab a drink. At parties like these, she usually only grabs one bottle of beer and nurses it the whole party.

She looked around and smiled as she passed people. She was pretty popular so a lot of people knew her. Some people would stop by and make conversation, but would leave and move on to the next person they recognize.

After a good hour of socializing, she was already exhausted. She resigned to the living room upstairs, in most parties everyone gathered in the main living room or the kitchen so the second floor would be scarce of people. Hoping it to be void of people, she got upstairs and was thankful that no one at all was upstairs.

She defeatedly plopped onto a chair. She was a second away from leaving the party, she was glad Chorong was having fun with Bomi, she just didn’t understand why getting drunk and wasted was fun to people. She just didn’t find the appeal of it.

Yongsun stood up, finally deciding on leaving the party. As she headed towards the stairs, she stopped as a figure with long platinum blonde hair bumped into her.

The brunette looked at the seemingly drunk girl that had bumped into her, and currently blocking her way to the stairs. The girl was wearing shorts, white crop top with a leather jacket over it. (Starry night outfit)

“Excuse me.” Yongsun tried, really wanting to leave now.

The blonde looked up and squinted at the brunette. “Who the heck are you?”

She noticed that the girl was very drunk, but she was also very beautiful. Her long, platinum blonde hair looked soft, she had a small but sharp nose. Yongsun felt that if she stared long enough, she could be paralyzed by the intense brown eyes that were currently staring at her. And her lips…pink, full, pouty lips, and they looked …oh so kissable.

Yongsun’s eyes widened as the girl looked directly into her eyes. Well, as direct as she could in her drunken state. “K-Kim…Kim Yongsun.”

The blonde shook her head, smiling drunkenly and held up a hand. “Sorry…I don’t actually care.”

Before Yongsun could say anything, the blonde turned around and started back towards the stairs.

Taeho, a senior she despised, had reached the top of the stairs and had taken hold of the blonde’s wrist.

“Byulyi, I was looking for you.” He had this disgusting smirk on his face.

“Well, I was avoiding you.” The girl called Byulyi said, shaking off Taeho’s hand.

“Come on, I thought we were getting along earlier.” Taeho tried again, he had let go of her hand but was now invading the blonde’s space.

“That was all in your head.” Byulyi slurred out, trying to push him away.

“Don’t be like that~ I know you like me too.” That disgusting smirk appeared on his face again.

“Hey, she said she doesn’t like you.” Yongsun finally had enough of it, and gently tugged the blonde away from Taeho. Byulyi started to feel the alcohol catching up to her, and she unconsciously leaned her body on Yongsun, who held onto her gently but tightly.

Taeho scowled and raised an eyebrow towards the brunette. “I don’t know who the fuck you think you are, but mind your own business, dyke.”

“Her name is Yong…Yongkim, I think.” The blonde mumbled out with her eyebrows scrunched together like she was thinking hard. Yongsun was momentarily distracted by the blonde’s drunken cuteness but was brought back by the pervert’s annoying voice.

“Come on, Byulyi.” Taeho rolled his eyes at that, and reached out to take hold of Byulyi again.

Yongsun had taken taekwondo for self-defense ever since she was a child, and breaking boards was always her specialty. In that second, she decided to use her specialty which caused Taeho to jump back and nurse his injured arm.

“Bitch!” Taeho yelled and started towards Yongsun. Without meaning to, her leg reflexively moved forward and kicked him where it hurt the most. He fell backwards, holding his crotch with agony written all over his face.

Yongsun shook her head and held onto Byulyi as she led them downstairs away from the jerk currently crying about his genitals.

“B-Byulyi?” Yongsun asked unsurely as soon as they reached downstairs.

They were finally outside, and alone. “Mmhm?” Byulyi responded, getting closer to the brunette. She leaned more into Yongsun, which made the latter blush as the girl’s breath hit her neck.

“U-Um…D-Do you want me to h-help you get to your dorm?” Yongsun stuttered out. She couldn’t help it, this pretty girl was drunk and all over her, invading Yongsun’s space. She didn’t hate it at all, in fact even if the girl smelled of alcohol, there was a mixed scent of fresh linen and vanilla that invaded her senses.

“Mhmm.” The girl mumbled, shaking her head, which caused her nose to rub against Yongsun’s neck.

Yongsun pulled herself away as much as she could with the girl latching onto her. “C-Can you tell me which dorm you’re staying?”

Byulyi just mumbled incoherently, and the brunette cursed at the whole situation. She knew there was going to be one safe solution and she wasn’t sure if she could survive the next morning without teasing from her best friend and an awkward morning with the pretty stranger that’s currently invading her space.

.

.

.

.

.

Deciding that the safest solution for this drunk girl was taking her into her own dorm room. Yongsun walked all the way to her dorm, with the girl’s arm draped over her shoulders, half-dragging half-leading the way.

Finally getting into the building, she got one of the security officers to help carry the girl. The muscular officer literally took the weight off Yongsun’s shoulders as he hooked his arm behind Byulyi’s knees and lifted her into a bridal carry.

“Girlfriend?” The officer Jong Kook asked as they stepped onto the elevator.

Yongsun blushed, but shook her head. “I don’t really know her…she got too wasted and this guy was being disgusting so I couldn’t leave her there like this.”

Jong Kook nodded. “Good idea.”

Yongsun sighed and smiled gratefully at the officer. She liked him and the rest of the officers, they were open minded and very nice people that actually did their job well. Last year, there was a stalker that creeped around the building hoping to jump on one of the girls, and the officers had caught him without any damage. Right now, she was equally as thankful as the officer helped carry her into her dorm.

“Thank you, oppa!” Yongsun said with a thankful smile, which the officer kindly returned.

“Just doing my job, Yongsun.” The officer said his goodbye and left the girls alone.

The girl looked lifeless on the couch, but what made Yongsun blush was the skin that showed. The blonde’s crop top, which was purposely styled where you can see a good amount of skin through the holes, was riding dangerously high and was now showing her very well-toned stomach and a bit of the girls bra. She was a little busy earlier fighting off Taeho, but now that she’s really looking and in her dorm room’s lighting, this girl looked like a celebrity. She was a little taller than herself, gorgeous, and seemingly stylish.

Yongsun sighed as she realized she still had to move the girl. It’d weird for Chorong if she came in after the party to see a stranger on the couch. She’ll have to sleep on the couch. She gently lifted the girl’s head up and the rest of her body into a sitting position.

“B-Byulyi, let’s move to the bed, okay?” Yongsun said gently as she led the stumbling girl into her bedroom.

They finally reached the bed and as soon as the back of Byulyi’s knees touched the bed, she fell back onto the bed. Yongsun struggled a little to take off the girl’s leather jacket but succeeded and slightly dragged the girl onto the pillow, also moving her legs onto the bed, taking of the blonde’s shoes and putting them next to the bed. She let out a breath of frustration and finally covered the girl with the bed’s blanket.

Before she could turn away, she heard a little whimper from the girl on the bed. Yongsun immediately kneeled down, to see if she was hurting.

“B-Byulyi?” She asked softly.

The blonde sniffled and whimpered once more before letting out a soft, “Krys…”

Yongsun realized the girl was sleep talking, but her heart clenched at the thought of this girl being sad.

After making sure the girl was finally asleep, she grabbed some pajamas, a pillow and blanket. She turned off the lights, and closed the door behind her. Then she changed and got herself ready to sleep.

As she was about to close her eyes, the front door opened to Bomi and Chorong walking into the dorm.

Chorong looked at her strangely. “Why are you sleeping out here?”

“There’s a drunk girl in my room.” Yongsun said sheepishly.

Bomi’s eyes widened. “You caught a girl?”

Yongsun blushed and shook her head. “N-No! Taeho was planning to take advantage of her until she bumped into me.”

“That doesn’t explain why she’s in the our dorm though…” Chorong countered with a smirk.

Yongsun glared, “She wouldn’t tell me where she’s staying and I couldn’t just leave her there…”

Bomi giggled at that. “You’re too nice, unnie.”

“Is she pretty?” Chorong suddenly became curious.

Yongsun blushed and Chorong knew the answer. Her smirk came back, “You should go sleep next to her instead.”

Yongsun threw the pillow at her, which was dodged.

Chorong threw the pillow back as they left the brunette on the couch alone.

Yongsun laid back down, and sighed, wondering how the next day was going to play out.
