Summer Nights

Summary:

A meeting at the park doesn't go to plan when Seoham is delayed. But it doesn't matter, Jaechan has even better plans.

Work Text:

Jaechan leaned back against the tree that was providing him shade from the summer sun; he checked the time on his phone again. Seoham was late, which was a rare occurrence, even more strange was that he had not left a message, making him worry a little. He’d sent a message when he’d arrived at Yeouido Hangang Park a while back, but enough time had passed, so he decided to gave Seoham a call. It seemed to ring for an eternity, but just as he was about to give up, Seoham answered.

“Jaechannie,”

“Hyuuung, where are you?” Jaechan asked, just a smidge of poutiness in his voice.

“Ah, sorry, I have a puncture, I’ve been trying to fix it, sorry I lost track of time. Are you already there? I might be a bit longer, if you are hungry go find something to eat first. I’ll make it up to you when I get there.”

“No, I don’t want to eat without you. How long do you think you’ll be?”

“I’m not sure, it might be another half an hour to forty-five minutes, I haven’t changed a flat for a while.”

Jaechan was normally quite chill about these things (considering he was the one that was more likely to be late) but it had been nearly three weeks since he’d last had a chance to meet Seoham, and the thought of just waiting some more did not appeal to him.

“How far away are you hyung? You were on route right? Give me your location. I want to see.”

Seoham obliged, sending Jaechan a map with his location. Jaechan did a quick journey check, it was 45 minutes away by foot, but he had spotted a bike hire station just up ahead.

“I’m sorry about this, seriously go find a place to get some food or drink, don’t wait outside for me. I’ll be there as soon as I can.”

Jaechan bit down a sneaky smile. “Okay,” he said obediently. “I’ll see you soon.”

~

It has been quite a few months since he last rode a bike, and that was during the filming for Semantic Error. Back then the weather had been so cold, it was a different feeling riding along in the late evening sunshine on a perfect summer day. He enjoyed the feel of the wind against his face as he pedalled along. He couldn't stop himself from smiling when he imagined the look of surprise on Seoham’s face.

Soon he spotted a familiar car in the distance, and as he rode a bit further along, he found his tall hyung, wearing a cap and hunched over near the back car wheel. All that excessive height must be a hindrance for a task like this.

Spying some bike railings close by, he quickly chained up the bike to them and  made his way to Seoham. The streets were quiet, cars were going by, but it wasn’t much of a pedestrian spot, more of an in-between space between more popular destinations, lined with tall glass office buildings that were empty during the weekend.

Jaechan would have been very easy to spot if Seoham was paying attention, but he was so focussed on tightening the nuts to the wheel, that when someone suddenly grabbed his shoulders, he yelped out loud and fell on his butt.

“Wahhh!”

His heart almost jumped out of his chest, the wrench a ready weapon before he was able to focus and realised it was Jaechan, laughing at his freaked out mode.

“Jaechan-ah! What are you doing here? I almost whacked you with a wrench you know!”

Jaechan grinned at him, and made a ‘ta-da’ motion with his hands. “Surprise!”

Seoham got up and dusted off his trousers.

“I told you to wait for me,” he scolded Jaechan, though it didn’t take 3 seconds before the scowl was replaced with a wide grin.

Jaechan stepped up to him, acting like he was brushing dust off of Seoham’s broad shoulders.

“I wanted to see you.”

“Well,” Seoham said, rubbing his own face, trying to stop himself from grabbing Jaechan in public and kissing him on the spot.

Jaechan burst out laughing again.

“You look too good!”

“Huh?”

The younger man whipped out his phone and took a picture before showing it proudly; Seoham had smeared black grease over one cheek.

“Ah!” he looked down, finally noticing that the palms of his hands were also covered in it; he wasn't sure when that had happened.

He looked around for something to wipe it off with.

“Here, let me help you,” Jaechan said, pulling a pack of wet wipes out of his bag, a solid staple for any self-respecting idol.

Jaechan reached a hand up, Seoham bent down a little to make it easier for him. The boy was smiling the whole time he rubbed his face gently.

“Are you wiping it, or are you smearing it?” he teased.

“Of course I’m wiping it away, what do you take me for!” Jaechan said acting offended. “I don’t offer this service to just anyone you know!”

“Okay, okay.”

Seoham grinned again, taking the opportunity to stare at Jaechan’s face, when suddenly Jaechan wrapped a hand around his neck and lifted himself up on tiptoes to give Seoham a quick kiss on the lips.

“Wahh!” Seoham was in shock. ”Jaechan ah!”

He did a quick scan of the surroundings, but there was no one around close by, only a few figures in the distance.

Jaechan was back to wiping his face with care, maintaining an air of innocence, “What is it hyung?”

“In broad daylight?!”

“I’m just cleaning your face because it’s dirty. There, all done!”

Seoham wished he could take hold of this cheeky young man, but with both hands dirty, he could only stare helplessly.

“Have you finished changing the tyre?”

Ahh. He’d almost forgotten.

“It’s nearly done.”

“Okay.”

Seoham went back to the tyre, and started tightening all the wheel nuts with the wrench, and double checked to ensure they were secure enough. All the while Jaechan watched from the side, fanning him jokingly with a leaflet he’d randomly picked up at the park earlier.

“What do you think, does your hyung look very manly doing this?” Seoham asked.

“Oh yeah, a real man,” Jaechan replied.

He stowed away the jack and the punctured tyre, slamming the boot down with satisfaction before turning to Jaechan and sticking out his greasy hands to show them to him.

“Will my baby help me clean up?” He asked.

Jaechan gave his sweetest smile. “Of course. It’s a bit hot out here, so can we do it in the car?"

Seoham acquiesced. Jaechan took charge of the car keys and opened the door to let Seoham in. Seoham was mindful of not touching anything with his hands once inside. Jaechan got in after him, closing the doors and turning on the engine to start the air conditioner going.

Then the next thing he did was climb onto Seoham’s lap and pull the car seat lever so that the back of the seat went all the way down.

“Uh, Jaechan?” Seoham said, now lying in a prone position, with Jaechan on top of him.

“Yes?” Jaechan said, pulling off Seoham’s cap, and dabbing at his forehead, with a tissue.

“What are you doing?”

“Cleaning you up,” Jaechan said. “You’ve gotten a bit sweaty.”

“Okay, but you don’t have to do it on my lap.”

“You’re right,” Jaechan said, “the cleaning doesn’t need to be on your lap.”

He straightened up, and tossed the tissue behind him without looking.

“But it sure makes it useful for the next part.”

As he said that, he slipped a hand underneath Seoham’s shirt to hold his waist. The other hand he placed on Seoham’s nape, before he lowered himself down until he could kiss the man's neck.

Seoham began to writhe when he felt Jaechan's tongue lick a wet stripe on his bare skin.

“Hmm, salty.”

“Jaechan, it’s still daylight outside!”

“A good thing you have darkened windows,” Jaechan murmured, increasing his molestation activities.

“My hands are still dirty!” Seoham said, holding them up, unable to defend himself.

“Oh, I know.” Jaechan said, the edges of his mouth quirking up wickedly as he teased his fingers through Seoham’s short hair.

“Have I told you how nice your hair feels?” he said as he kissed Seoham’s jaw and neck.

“This isn’t fair!” Seoham pouted and squirmed.

Jaechan pulled up again, a mischievous glint in his eyes as his pink tongue darted out to wet his full lips.

“I’m not stopping you from touching me. You can make me as dirty as you want, hyung.

Jaechan placed a hand on Seoham’s chest, captivating Seoham as his fingertips slowly trailed downwards; the older man swore under his breath.

“Jaechan, Jaechan ah!”

Jaechan heard Kyoungyoon calling him from the kitchen. He sauntered out of his room towards the sound, still eating his packet of potato chips.

“Yeah?”

Kyoungyoon was standing in the kitchen with a basket of clothes fresh from the washing machine beside him. He was holding up a pair of denim jeans, there were patches of black stains on the seat of the pants.

“What is this?”

Jaechan shrugged his shoulders, making that universal 'mmm hmm mmm' sound that signified he didn’t know and looked at him, eyes widening behind his glasses.

Kyoungyoon, narrowed his eyes. “I saw you wearing this out on Saturday.”

“Oh those jeans,” Jaechan said, “I guess I must have sat on something dirty.”

Kyoungyoon gave a long sigh.

Jaechan went up to him, and swung an arm around his shoulder, rubbing his cheek against Kyounghyoon's face to placate him.

“Hyung, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. I'll pay for the professional cleaning fees. If that doesn't get it off, I promise to buy you a new pair. Here have a potato chip,” he said in his sweetest voice as he fed a chip into Kyoungyoon’s mouth.

“Fine. You better pay the fees.” Kyoungyoon said after munching down the chip, unable to stay mad at Jaechan. He folded the jeans up and put them to one side before turning to deal with the rest of the laundry.

“Of course!” Jaechan said, eating another chip himself and licking his fingers. He turned away and gave a self-satisfied smirk.

“And it was totally worth it.”

“Sorry, what’s that?” Kyoungyoon asked. He hadn’t been paying attention.

“Nothing!” Jaechan said brightly. “These teriyaki flavoured chips are delicious, I should buy some more next time.”

Notes:

Song is Summer Nights from Grease.

I know I have thed other 'bold Jaechan' fic to finish off, but this was in my head and I had to write it because Seoham would look hella cute with grease on his face.

Fun fact: I typed 'rating is PG' in the additional tags section, but the tag search came back with 'Everyone is gay'

I mean. It's not wrong :D.

Extra note: In the second scene, Jaechan is wearing a purple hoodie and glasses, the outfit in DKZ On Air Episode 48.
