Lloyd and Zane were preparing dinner one evening. The blond was chopping a freshly-peeled potato. While the nindroid diced some meat.
“Zane, how long did it take you to work out that you’re ace?” Lloyd asked, not looking away from the potato. His nervousness was palatable.
“For me, it was more of a sudden realization; I have always been asexual but knowing that the word itself fit me was an overnight realisation,” Zane tells him. They put the knife down and turn to face Lloyd. “Is this you coming out to me as ace?” they asked.
“Well, yeah; Ace and Aro,” he agreed.
“Aro…aromantic, is that correct?” Now that they’ve both stopped working on dinner preparation, neither of them looks like they will return to it anytime soon.
“Yeah,” he agreed.
“Okay,” And with that, Zane went back to slicing up the chicken breast.
A few minutes later. “…Okay?” The blond sounded confused.
“Is everything alright?” Zane asked.
“Yeah, it is,” Lloyd picks up his own knife again. “Thank you,” he thanked, what he was thanking Zane for could go unsaid, they already knew what he was thanking them for.
“Of course,”
