Veronica let out a quiet sigh as she looked around the room. Darkness filled the room and it looked to be around two in the morning. The darkened room wasn’t hers, however, instead belonging to the woman in her arms, Heather. Veronica smiled softly once realizing her lover was asleep. Unlike Heather, Veronica hadn’t been able to sleep that entire night. Perhaps it was the nerves of the new day, even though there wasn’t anything in particular for her to be worried about.
She once again looked down at her lover. Heather had on one of Veronica’s old band t-shirts, one she refused to wear out in public but would often go to sleep in. Her face was pressed into Veronica’s chest, looking like she was trying to burrow into her. Veronica laughed softly. Even though she was quite the ‘mythic bitch’ as many would call her, she still had soft moments, which were reserved only for Veronica to see, and she loved having that honor.
Veronica could never believe how she got with Heather. After JD arrived, it seemed like everything had gone to chaos but, the issues resolved surprisingly quick, and JD had managed to get help. Still though, not everything was the same. JD got charged after the attempted murder of Heather Chandler. Veronica had luckily called the authorities in time and Heather hadn’t drunk enough for the situation to have gotten deadly. Veronica would never admit it, but she knew she had a crush on her then, and was just prolonging the inevitable. I mean, how do you tell your crush that you almost murdered them?
After that incident, Veronica helped Heather heal and was the one always at her side when she needed it and when she didn’t. That’s where they claim the love for each other sprouted, but they knew it had started earlier. Of course, Heather didn’t want to be helped at first. She was the queen of Westerburg High, why would she ever need help from anyone. As time went by though, Heather finally let down her walls for Veronica, and they grew closer and closer until Heather had finally recovered.
Her recovery was long and tedious but they had gotten through with it. There were, of course, many bumps along the way, but they survived and came out of it with a deeper understanding of each other. It wasn’t much longer until they started dating. Word spread like a wildfire, which scared them a little. Luckily for them, the school didn’t seem to mind. It was their queen, and they wouldn’t disrespect her.
Now, there they were, Veronica holding Heather in her bed at two in the morning. Thinking about the past had brought a few tears to Veronica’s eyes, not realizing she was crying until her sniffles had woken her lover. Heather tried to hug her closer before realizing that wouldn’t work. She sat up and gave her a frown. “What’s wrong Ronnie?” She asked sleepily. Veronica pressed a short kiss to her lips. She somehow always tasted like cherry, and Veronica couldn’t get enough of it. “Don’t worry about it. I was just thinking. Go back to bed.” Heather pulled her in. “Only if you go to sleep with me.” She replied. Veronica laughed softly before nodding. “Ok, you have a deal.”
