Work Text:
Charlie can't believe her luck at seeing you there. The dress you’re wearing shows nicely the curves of your body. Not to sound like a pervert, but Charlie loves your body. The lights of the club cast shadows on your face, but even from the distance, she can see that you’re upset. Your friend, who is beside you, tries to tell you something. She gives up when you don't look away from your phone. The music is loud, an annoying tune blasts through the speakers. All that Charlie wants to do is go home and cuddle on the couch with a nice cup of ice cream. She's not sure why she came to this party, it's not her scene. Though seeing you there, all gorgeous and perfect, she's glad she came.
Everyone else in the club is either dancing or drinking, not you, you're stubbornly looking at the phone with your brows creased as if expecting something. Even when your friend walks away, you barely notice. Charlie can't believe her luck when she notices that there are no signs from your boyfriend. He's nowhere near you, and by the look on your face, you must be mad at him.
This must be divine intervention because when you look up, your eyes clash with hers. What is she going to do now that she has your attention? Is she going to speak softly in your ear? Or perhaps buy you a drink? She knows she can be a better boyfriend than him. She can make you laugh like you always do when you are around her. She can treat you the way you deserve; she would never leave you alone at a party. Maybe Charlie should approach you, take your hand on her own, and lead you to the dance floor. Or maybe she should whisper in your ear all the things that she feels for you and never dared to say out loud. You don't need that lousy boyfriend, she could be better for you and only for you.
Charlie knows you well enough to know that all it takes it's an opportunity. Your boyfriend has made enough mistakes, you’re already tired of him. If she approaches you, it won't take long to steal you from him. She could give you all the love he has never. Charlie could grab your hand and take you to her house. She could murmur sweet words in your ear. Maybe hold you close like he never does. She wouldn't make you cry or wait for her all night. Girls know girls better, she could be a better girlfriend than him.
Your gaze doesn't break from hers, when you smile, she approaches you. It won’t take long to take you from him.
