Clarisse rolled her eyes when Silena made her learn how to braid hair in all different styles.
"Lovergirl, when am I ever gonna use this?"
"Okay, Clary, I get that you have a style. A patented Look if you will- and I respect that. But you never know when you'll wanna mix it up! Think about how cute you'd look kicking ass with two little Dutch braids sticking out of your bandana!"
So Clarisse learned, because Silena was her best friend and she was kinda right. Besides, she liked girly stuff more than she let on- she just didn't like anyone to know. That kind of softness made people weak.
But as she sat on the green in Camp Jupiter where the war games took place, tightly weaving two French braids into Reyna's soft black hair, she said a silent thank you to Silena for teaching her.
