Chapter Text
“Don't look back, because we've found our destiny” Taehyung's deep, beautiful voice echoes in the whole stadium. The man steps to the right and crouches down, leaving free the center of the stage.
“Don't give up, baby” now it's Seokjin, sweetening all people ears with his precious voice “Forever.”
“Forever” Tae repeats, standing up again, just in front of Jin, looking towards the crowd.
The rest of members are still performing DNA normally, but Taehyung have something else in mind. Out of the blue he just turns around, his face inches away of his hyung's. That surprising action makes Jin opens his eyes wide, and stays as still as a stone, yet he tries to show a normal face.
With eyes fixed on him, Tae steps forward, breaking that gap between them, and innocently presses his nose against the older's, beaming widely after that. For the crowd and the people watching live, this is a cute moment.
But for the staff and the rest of members, this is an absolute bold action.
Because of that daring man, a four-years long, secret relationship is constantly about to be found. Yes, Kim Taehyung loves danger, he loves breaking the rules, he loves the adrenaline running through his veins for those actions. One of his favorite things is flirting with his hyung in front of thousands of people, and pretend as if it's just fanservice.
But deep inside he's afraid. Afraid of the day those rebel actions will lead to some bad consequences. Anyways, not even his own mind can stop him. The man keeps taking every chance to flirt with his Jinnie on stage.
After the show, everyone decide to rather split apart and have dinner in each of their hotel rooms, in order to recharge their energy. Of course, Tae and Jin are in the same room.
“Hyung, you have to try this salad. I didn't expect it to taste this good” Taehyung says, his mouth still full of delicious veggies.
“No, thanks. One more bite will make me explode, I'm full” Jin replies, leaning his back on the chair. The salad is just one of the five plates they ordered.
Taehyung doesn't want to eat more if Jin isn't eating too, so when his hyung says this, he stops. He drinks water, takes a napkin and cleans himself.
“Ohhh, I forgot we need to have a serious talk, little brat” the older says, turning his body to Tae. He tries to sound mad, but his tone is everything but mad.
“I know what is this about” he smiles cheekily, putting the napkin on the table “Oh, hyung, you looked so gorgeous today! That outfit, and exposed forehead. I couldn't hold myself back.”
“Don't lie to me, Kim Taehyung! I know you, you did it on purpose” Jin tries his best to sound angry, but fails.
The man isn't even close to any angry feeling, he actually loves when his baby do those kind of things. But for pride purposes, he has to pretend to be mad.
“Well... I really can't lie, I was planning it. But I couldn't afford all the things I planned” all of a sudden, Taehyung is serious, touching his chin with his index finger.
”Oh, you didn't?” Jin asks with curiosity.
“No. I wanted to kiss you” the younger says cheekily, smiling mischievously later.
Jin shakes his head, and leans forward to that brat, squinting his eyes.
“You're impossible, I should hate you for this. Why I can't hate you?”
Taehyung chuckles. He leans forward too, they can feel each other's warm breath.
“Because you love me” he whispers, enjoying to be so close of his favorite hyung “That's why I always get my way.”
“Taehyunggie pabo” Jin whispers too, slowly closing his eyes.
Next thing is their lips giving up and breaking the gap. The kiss is slow, sweet, they don't care about deepening it, or make things hotter. Most of times, their schedule is so heavy than they just have time for a quick kiss behind a door, or a hug on the practice room. When they have a whole night like this, with nothing scheduled, they like to enjoy every second together.
They're tasting every delicious part of each other's lips. They're so immersed, but Jin's phone ringing for an incoming call blows their sweet love bubble. Tae growls, pressing his forehead with Jin's for a second.
“You said you always silent ya phone at the end of the day” Tae is implying that interruption is his fault.
Jin drops his head, sighs and stands up to look for the phone, still ringing inside the pocket of his jacket.
“I silent it, except for my mom and some close staff members” Seokjin explains, pulling the phone out of his pocket.
The one calling is precisely Bang-PD. Jin picks it up and sits down again in the chair.
“Kim Seokjin here” he says, turning his body to Tae. Then he remains silent, listening to the voice on the other end “In my room” there's another silence. Jin looks up, gazing at Tae's face, smiles and runs the back of his fingers on his cheek “Yeah, he's here with me.”
Taehyung can't listen to the other voice on the phone, so he just closes his eyes, enjoying the sweet feeling of Jin caressing his cheek. But suddenly, his hand just stops. Tae opens his eyes again, and finds a serious Seokjin in front of him, his brown eyes wandering on the carpeted floor. He pulls his hand away of Tae's face, and grabs his own knee, pretty nervously.
“Yes, hyung. We'll wait for you” Jin's tone is sad. He puts the phone down and ends the call, and glances up to Tae, who is expectantly waiting “Uhmmm... Bang-PD hyung is on his way here. He says he gotta talk to both of us about something important. His voice was so serious, I'm worried.”
“I bet he's gonna scold me for the same thing you did a moment ago” Tae sighs, standing up.
About five minutes later, there are knocks on the room door. Jin goes to open it, and Tae moves one of the chairs for the man.
“Seokjin-ah, Taehyung-ah, please sit down too” the man says. The guys sit together on the edge of the huge bed, and the producer fixes his position on the chair, so he can be just in front of them.
He looks at them, and wishes not having to communicate this news.
“I think you know what I'm gonna say, Tae... You did it again, during the bridge on DNA. Everyone saw you.”
“You see? Told ya” Tae sighs.
“Shhh, don't interrupt him” Jin scolds. Then he bows a little in apologies “Hyung, please resume.”
“Okay. We've been talking about this for a long time, and today's event got on their nerves. It wasn't actually big deal, I know, but things were on the edge nowadays. The tiniest flirting between you two would make them explode. Probably people is suspicious now, and jumping to some solid conclusions.”
“Well... People jump to conclusions 24/7 with all of us. Each ARMY has their favorite ship” Tae comments, glancing at Jin for a second “We are just only one of those ships.”
“You will not be 'just only one of them' if you keep doing stuff with your hyung, like you did today” the man explains. The tone makes Tae gulp.
“I...” the younger glances at Jin again. He's getting nervous “I promise to behave from now on.”
“No, Taehyung-ah, you promised this dozens of times, but you're still unable to control yourself. One day you'll straight kiss Jin on stage, and you're not gonna even realize” the producer's tone is cold and severe.
The man sighs heavily, places is elbows on his thighs and looks down. He has to tell them now.
“We came with a kind of decision. You two...” he sighs and looks up at them “Have to break up.”
Jin and Tae stay still like two statues for several seconds, looking at their hyung without blinking. They unconsciously take each other's hand. Then Tae looks at the floor, his lips tightly pursed. On the other hand, Jin is deeply staring at the producer face, waiting to see a smile forming there. But there's no smiles, not even a tiny one.
“This has to be a j-joke” Jin stammers, shaking his head.
“I would rather say it was just a joke, Seokjin-ah” the man says grimacing.
By instinct, the boys hold each other hand even tighter, and hold back the lump on their throats, while the producer stands up.
“You can't... You can't make us break up!” Taehyung yells with trembling voice, looking up to the man in front of them.
The man stares at him. That broken expression on his dongsaeng's face makes him feel sad.
“We can, and you're aware of that.”
Because this happened before. They made Tae and Jin break up a couple years ago, after that Blanket kick performance where the 'acting kiss' for the choreography became a real one. They basically did everything to avoid communication between them, would put them on different cars, and scheduled their activities so they don't see each other on the studio or in the apartment. Just as expected, they never actually succeeded. The boys would text each other all day, they would secretly meet each other late in the night, or would finish quickly their activities to match each other's schedule. When the staff and the producers were aware of that, they decided to stop working in vain, and just hope those kind of slips never happen again.
“You can sleep together now, it's your last night. From tomorrow on, each of you will have a companionship person 24/7, they will make sure there's no communication between you” the man slowly walks to the room door, while Tae and Jin are still sitting on the edge of the bed, their backs facing the door.
Before leaving, the man sighs heavily, mentally cursing the boys contract.
“I'm really, really sorry.”
