Chapter Text
Drip, drip, drip
The sound of drops of a pitch-black liquid hitting the flooring underneath was all that echoed through the eerily quiet ink-stained hallways of Joey Drew Studios. In the corner of these halls sat one ink puddle of many scattered throughout the place. When suddenly, it bubbles slightly until returning to its original motionless state from before and continuing the silence that now resonated throughout the building once more.
Drip, drip, drip
The silence stretches on for what seems like an eternity, even though most creatures down in this mysterious place have no sense of time to tell thai exactly. Suddenly the same ink puddle in the corner from earlier bubbles up again and nothing seems to happen after of note until a stained, gloved hand splashes to the surface from seemingly within the dark liquid and grabs onto the first thing it finds, a floorboard sticking out, as it pulls supposedly the rest of itself out of the inky darkness.
As it continues to struggle lifting itself out of its puddle when soon one arm grabbing onto the hard wooden plank becomes two, then three and then four as the trapped creature finally frees itself as it lands face first on the floor with a hard thud. Its chest rises and falls for a bit before showing no signs of movement. Evidently unconscious, exhausted from the fight it had just seemed to put up to free itself.
And once again everything fell silent.
