Chapter Text
Grant had hoped today would just be a normal day, well as normal as a day can get in this god forsaken studio. The good part was that so far his prayers had been answered, he'd gotten to work with no delays and had gotten to his office without being pranked by any of the toons (specifically Bendy) once. Sadly the same hasn't happened for Sammy sadly. He saw at least 2 pipes burst on him as he was walking past the music department. Truly felt bad for the poor chap, sometimes you would think the ink was out to get him specifically with all the ink-related problems that happened to him.
The only part of the day that had soured his mood was when he got in his office, took off his coat, sat down and then realised he still had to work on the financing for that ridiculous theme park idea that Mr. Drew had. Did Joey think that their funds magically came out of nowhere?! In all honesty, he probably did… . He’d been so aggravated over Joey’s financial decisions and growling at the mathematics on the page in front of him that he didn't notice the pipe ratting dangerously above his head. He only noticed once he heard the noise of it bursting above him.
‘Oh crap-’ was the last thing he thought right before he looked up and was suddenly assaulted by a torrential downpour of ink. He sadly wasn't allowed to voice his colourful opinion on his current situation out loud and only got as much as a scream as soon after the ink hit him, his vision went even darker than it already was with that damned ink in his eyes and he passed out.
—----------------------------------------------------------------
Today wasn't the best of days Bendy thought as he walked down the hall. He'd just gotten to work and gone to talk to Joey about an issue one of the animators had. Then, Sammy had just come in screaming about how he had gotten two pipes burst on him this morning and demanded Joey to fix the problem before storming out.
I mean, jeez, Lawrence could stand to lighten up a bit. I swear he’s gonna pop a vein one day with how mad he always constantly is. Henry’s said my pranks don't help that attitude but it's still fun to mess with him from time to time. He flashed a mischievous smile at the thought.
Well, at least, Henry had managed to calm Sammy down by saying he'd go get Wally later to get a good look at the pipes and find a solution. He’d just entered the financing area when he noticed that a crowd of accountants had gathered outside Grant’s office. He was curious so he walked up to the crowd.
“Hey what’s everyone doin’ out here, get back to work!” he said to them as he clapped his hands to get their attention.
“Oh! Sorry boss didn't see you there-” one of the workers in the crowd replied. He raised a brow telling them to get to the point. “- it's just that we heard a scream from Mr. Cohen’s office a while ago. Everyone came to ask if he was alright but he didn't answer and the door’s locked so we’re kinda definitely worried bout’ ‘im”.
As they finished explaining he thought up an idea and started clearing them out, telling them to go back to their work and that he'll deal with it, ya know, the whole spiel. It was like second nature for anyone like him and Joey because you gotta have some way to tell the people to go away if someone might have gotten turned into some weird ink monster on rare occasions or often in *cough cough* Sammy’s case *cough cough*.
Well he'd gotten everyone cleared out so he should probably get his plan into action now. Well he had to admit that it wasn't the most creative but it was effective. He was just gonna go get Wally and ask him to unlock Grant’s door, simple enough. Well.. he’ll go do that now he thought as he walked back down the hall to get the janitor.
—----------------------------------------------------------------
Henry was having a normal day so far, Sammy comes in yelling at Joey about some sort of ink leakage and he has to go get Wally to fix it. In fact he was on his way to go get him right now when he saw him round the corner. How convenient! He was gonna go up and explain the situation when he saw Bendy talking to him. Ooo.. this probably wasn't gonna end good, probably gonna end in a prank at least. Fearing the worst he walked up to them and they turned their heads to him.
“Hey! Good morning Henry! You need somethin’?” Wally jollily asked, tipping his cap to him.
“Actually Joey needs you for something, but first, what was Bendy talking to you about?” he asked, squinting suspiciously at the little devil.
Bendy noticed his dubious look as he frantically answered “Henry it's not whatcha think ok?! I was actually asking Wally if he could help me for a sec. Ya see, something might have happened to Grant and his door’s locked so i need Wally to ya know.., unlock it, to see if he's alright?”
He was still a little sceptical but it was a valid reason at least. “Ok fine but i'll accompany you. I'll probably need to tell Joey if anything happened to Grant and I still need Wally for something later”.
“Sure, whatever floats yer boat Henry” Bendy replied as we started heading down to Grant’s office.
—----------------------------------------------------------------
Well he had ended up with one extra party member but that wasn't a problem as he was still on track with his original objective. With all this walking around that he had to do, Grant’d better be grateful if they had to help him or not. If he wasn't, well.. Hehe, he has his ways.
Bendy was pulled out his thoughts when Henry spoke up. “Well we’re here now. Wally you can start unlocking the door you know”. He hadn't even realised they’d arrived back at the office of the main man of the problem himself.
He looked over to Wally and held back a snicker as he saw that he'd fallen on his butt indicated by a loud thud. He’d probably tuned out and was startled by Henry calling out to him suddenly. Henry saw him holding back a laugh and glanced his way, a disapproving look crossing his features before helping Wally up.
“Actually you know what, Wally, why dontcha jus’ pass me those keys real quick and ill go in an’ get Grant myself”, he said and pointed his hand out toward the young man on the floor. He nodded and passed him said keys while accepting Henry’s help and finally getting up.
“Thanks”, he quickly replied to no one as he walked up to the door, unlocked it and pushed it open.
“Grant?” he called out. When he was met with silence, he opted for his next strategy as he walked further into the office.
“Grant, Joey was thinking about expanding the theme park!” he called out again.
“What?!” he heard Henry shout out from outside the room.
“Nevermind!” he shouted back, hoping Henry didn't take that bait seriously.
He was about to yell out for Grant again when his attention was turned towards a black shape underneath the accountant’s, dripping and ink soaked desk. Didn't know how he didn't notice the desk was that badly messed up when he walked in but never mind that, he was more curious about the strange shape underneath Grant’s desk which seemed to be covered in ink and was seemingly aliveeee… oh no… don't tell me that's who I think it is… . He was thinking the worst as he walked closer to the creature underneath the desk, whom he was about to confirm the identity of for himself.
—----------------------------------------------------------------
Henry had no time to dwell on that comment that Bendy made about Joey’s theme park idea when he heard the same toon demon call out again, this time actually directed at him.
“Uhhh- Henry, we seem to have a problem. An ink related one…” Bendy said nervously to him from Grant’s office.
Oh no… that combination of words was never a good thing. Especially in Hell’s studio where the ink isn't exactly normal ink. He really didn't need this happening to him this morning but he guessed he was gonna have to deal with it somehow. He really hoped that they didn't have another Sammy on their hands but he was going to have to manage it somehow.
This was his resolve as he walked into the office next to Bendy, leaving Wally outside, to check what had happened to his fellow co-worker.
