Jungkook looked at the messages in his mobile and turned off the screen while sighing. This didn't go unnoticed by the omega beside him who is leaning on his shoulder and reading a book.
Taehyung looked at him with his curious eyes as to asking why he was sighing.
It’s been six months since they met and started courting and it is safe to say that they are really considering mating if not for them promising of waiting atleast two years before it.
Now they are at a stage where they have separate houses but never really sleep without each other.
Noticing the look Taehyung giving him, Jungkook just turned his mobile on and gave it to the omega as an answer.
Taehyung looked at the screen where a group chat is open and many messages are sent today.
Few of the messages which caught his attention are:
' Guys! Let's have a reunion on our tenth anniversary. What about next Sunday?'
'Yup! I am free that day and I think most will be since it's Sunday.'
'Where should we meet?'
'I am thinking of booking a room in a hotel. Or maybe at our school?'
'Nah, I don't want to set my foot in that place again so, booking a hotel is best.'
'And then we can hit some club that evening.'
And next all messages are others agreeing to them.
"So, you guys are having a reunion?" Taehyung asked after reading the chat.
Jungkook took the mobile and placed it beside him before throwing his arms around the omega and nodding his head.
"And why are you sighing?" Taehyung asked, his hands automatically going up to play with the beta's hair.
"I used to hate those people, they are so rude all the time and used to make fun of me for liking literature and even tore my book in which I used to write some stories and poems. And now they are planning a reunion and I don't know what to do." Jungkook said, still hugging the omega and sniffing at his scent gland.
"Koo, of course you should go! If you want, I can tag along with you. They said you can bring a plus one." Taehyung said.
"You want me to go? We planned a date on that Sunday. You even bought tickets to that art exhibition." Jungkook said, getting up to look at Taehyung.
"How about we go to lunch and then ditch the club to go for that exhibition?" Taehyung asked, he too turned to look at his boyfriend.
"Are you sure Tae? I know they didn't change at all and they are still rude and they might upset you." Jungkook said, his hands cupping the omega's face.
"Just because some rude people, you shouldn't miss the opportunity to meet some of your old friends. I think you have some friends whom you couldn't contact after your graduation. And who do you think I am? If they say anything about you, I will kick their asses." Taehyung said making Jungkook to laugh at his serious expression.
"Okay. We are going." Jungkook said after he stopped laughing.
"Good. Now let's go for shopping. I can even film our day and make a vlog. My babies are asking to show your face." Taehyung said getting up from the couch excitedly.
"I am never coming for shopping with you again!" Jungkook said but walked towards where Taehyung pointed at.
"You say that all the time." Taehyung giggled, his one hand holding the camera, shooting the vlog after getting permission from the shop employee. And who could say no to the popular youtuber and free publicity of their shop. And his other hand still holding the beta's.
By the time they finished shopping, it is almost night so, they both decided to go to Taehyung's apartment which is closer.
On Sunday, Jungkook is still nervous about meeting the people whom he thought would never come across in his future. And Taehyung is correct. He still misses some of his friends who was close with him at that time.
"Hey handsome, are you single?" A voice said near his ear and he looked at the pretty omega, who looks stunning.
"Hmm...depends on you gorgeous." Jungkook said winding his arm around the omega.
"I can ditch my boyfriend for you. You are quite a catch." the omega answered and started giggling after looking at the offending expression on Jungkook.
"You will ditch me for some random handsome dude?!" Jungkook said but his grip is still strong around Taehyung.
"Maybe if that random handsome dude is good at making me feel like how you make me feel." Taehyung answered, pecking his boyfriend once which will never stop at one as Jungkook continues the pecking.
"And how do I make you feel?" Jungkook asked, a smile playing on his lips while pecking the omega continuously.
"Horny." Taehyung leaned closer and whispered in Jungkook's ear and busted out laughing at the groan the beta released.
"Very dangerous omega you are." Jungkook said with a shake of head.
"Are you still nervous?" Taehyung then asked, his hands smoothening the curls of his boyfriend.
Jungkook smiled at the concern, his boyfriend would do anything he could to make him calm without him saying anything to him.
"Much better now. Thank you." Jungkook answered and kissed the omega for a long minute.
Even before entering the booked room, Jungkook could hear the loud laughs coming from the room inside. Taehyung squeezed his hand, reminding him of his presence. Taking a deep breath, he opened the door to the room.
The room, with three big round tables, few tables in the corner with some cards for playing and few couches in between where minimum a hundred people can enjoy their time. A few heads turned to look when he opened the door and some of them stared in confusion while some of them gasped in recognition. But the people who Jungkook still dislike were totally unaware of his presence and were the people who are laughing so loudly.
"Hey man! Good to see you again. Didn't think you would come since you never replied in the group chat." an alpha said approaching the couple and hugging Jungkook in a half hug.
"Hi Ron, it's good to see you too and sorry for never contacting. Thought you would never remember me." Jungkook said and looked at Taehyung, who is looking at him with a bright smile as if saying ' see! You have friends.' or maybe the bright smile is of proudness for interacting with out hesitating.
"This is Taehyung, my boyfriend." Jungkook then said again taking the omega hand in his.
"Oh! I know him. Everyone probably knows him but it's nice to meet our shy Kook's boyfriend. I hope he is not so shy anymore." Ron said shaking his hand with Taehyung who accepted it with a pleased smile.
"He is still as shy as ever." Taehyung replied with a giggle.
"Come and sit with me, Woo and Bin are on their way. You remember them, right?" Ron said guiding them to the couch.
"The alpha couple? They are still dating?" Jungkook asked in shock because, the alphas in topic, Woo and Bin were dating even before presenting and continued dating after they both presented as alphas which is a big deal in those days.
"Yeah, same cheesy as ever. You might know them Taehyung, they both are somewhat popular in social media." Ron said.
"Oh? I might recognize if I see them." Taehyung said and at the same time the doors opened again.
"There they are!" Ron said, again getting up to greet the said alpha couple.
"He is a social butterfly. I used to sit all alone in the cafeteria and one day he came and was like 'hey I am Ron and we could be friends since we both like Ironman' and I don't know to react so I said 'okay' and he never left me till we graduated. Because of him, I got close with some of other students. Woo and Bin too became my friends since they are Ron’s friends. They both were so tall at that time and they are still taller than before." Jungkook said to Taehyung as they both saw Ron conversing with the alphas who still didn't notice them, hugging the eager alpha with big smiles.
"You won't believe who just came before you two." Ron said, dragging the two still smiling alphas towards Jungkook and Taehyung who can now hear what Ron is talking.
"Who?" Woo asked, his face with a cute frown.
Just then Ron stopped walking, standing beside Jungkook and waving his both hands in front of the beta with a bright smile and a 'Tada!'
Bin was the first to gasp and shout a small 'Kook?'
Jungkook stood up and raised a hand awkwardly for a wave while saying a 'hey,'
"Oh my god! It's really you! You have changed a lot." Bin said hugging him without any hesitation, still the same tactile person like before.
"Yeah, it's been so long. Good to see you again." Woo said, giving a side hug.
That was when the four men attention turned to Taehyung, who gasped suddenly.
"You are that vlogger!" Taehyung and Bin said at the same time and then giggled at that.
They all sat on the couches and started chatting.
"So, you know them?" Ron asked Taehyung.
"Yeah, but never met before. I follow your videos but could never do what you do properly." Taehyung said, scratching his ear and leaning to Jungkook's side, who immediately wrapped an arm around him.
"What are the videos about?" Jungkook asked looking at Bin.
"Mostly exercises and fitness and some dances." Bin answered.
"And a lot of cats." Woo and Tae said at the same time, making Bin go red at the mention of cats, while Ron and Jungkook laughed.
They talked about their present life and what they are doing for living. Jungkook came to know that Ron is working as a public relations specialist for a big company and the beta is not surprised cause that job fits his friend perfectly. Came to know that Woo is an architect. And Bin is a youtuber, just like his boyfriend.
"You said they both are popular in social media. Why is Woo popular?" Jungkook asked Ron who answered him with a smirk.
"Just you wait until Taehyung does a boyfriend reveal. You will understand then." Ron answered which confused Jungkook more so his boyfriend explained.
"My viewers will start following you in every social media. They want to know what you are up to." Taehyung said.
"Woo appears a lot in my cat videos since he works from home most of the time. And just like that, he too became popular." Bin said.
"I don't even post anything in my accounts except for my projects." Woo said.
They all again started talking about Woo's work and then the topic changed to Jungkook's life.
"Hey Kook, what do you do now? I never know what you are doing." Ron asked to which Woo and Bin too nodded their heads.
"Ah, I am an author." Jungkook said, still shy when the attention is all on him.
"A damn good one at that. Just made me fall for him with his writing." Taehyung added knowing Jungkook would never tell anything more about himself.
"You really became a writer? What do you write? Nursery stories?" A voice came from the table beside him where the alpha who were laughing loudly before.
The others at that table laughed at the words but Ron turned to look at the alpha who talked.
"Jack, that's not very good."
"I am just curious Ron. I was just asking question." Jack said.
"Yeah, we want to know what that nerdy write now. Does that even pay enough? Writing stories for pups." Another alpha from that table said in a teasing voice.
This is what Jungkook nervous of, he is not one to boost about himself even he knows how popular his books are. But Taehyung is not having it. He just said how he fell for his writing and they are making fun of it. So, he sat straight. Making some of the alphas at the table to gasp looking at him.
Taehyung was not visible before since he is totally leaning in to his boyfriend's side and Jungkook's frame covered him totally from the alphas at the table. But now, he is clearly visible to everyone in the room and the gasp from the alphas made everyone in the room to look at him. But Taehyung paid no attention to them, he looked directly at the alpha who talked and raised him perfect brow at him.
"Do you know anything about that field? He said author. Do you know who an author is?" Taehyung asked, making the alphas at that table to close their mouth. For a moment cause, Jack is again back with a remark.
"Who cares about that? Do you know what we do?" he asked, and now Woo is the one answering.
"Yeah, spoiled for life and enjoying your life by doing nothing. I also heard that your father is searching for a new CEO since he can't let you in that position. And I am curious to know what you do for making your own father to think like that. What do you do for living Jack?"
The alpha in question, raised from his chair with a growl which made every omega in the room to shiver, including Taehyung who again snuggled to his boyfriend whose grip tightened even more.
"Don't make a scene for such a simple question Jack, I am just speaking truth." Woo added calmly after making sure Taehyung is fine.
"I-I, I am going to be the CEO of that company! Just you wait and see." Jack said, composing himself and turned again to look at Taehyung.
"I know he is still a sore loser. Look at him, not even defending himself. Because what we said is true." Jack said, making Taehyung scoff at his words.
"Something funny omega? Are you really his boyfriend? Or is it you taking pity on him and accepting offer to come here?" Jack asked and this time Jungkook spoke, not for the last one but for the way he talked with his omega.
"He has name and that is Taehyung and call him with that." he said, voice clear and loud.
"Oh...looks like he is your real boyfriend Mr. Nursery stories writer." Jack said.
Just as Jungkook is about to counter, the door opened and servers came with their food which they don't know who ordered.
They all settled in their chairs and started eating, forgetting about the little fight. They all talked with few other people who sat at the table, mostly because they all know Ron and Ron kept dragging the other three in to the conversation.
Completing the dessert, Taehyung sighed patting his stomach and looked at Bin with a cute pout.
"I don't even know how you maintain your six pack; I can't even keep my tummy flat." Taehyung mumbled cutely which made the three alphas and few others who heard him to laugh at his cuteness but Jungkook only frowned at his words.
"Tae, don't feel like that about yourself. You are perfect the way you are. Never feel sad about it." Jungkook said and this made his three alpha friends to smile.
"This idiot is telling you love yourself and he won't follow the same thing. Kook, you are reacting very fast to anything that is about Taehyung but not doing the same when it is about you." Ron said, poking at Jungkook's arm.
"I love myself too. But I love Tae more." Jungkook said rubbing where the other poked at and to his words, they all started 'Oohing while Taehyung shyly smiles and gave a peck to his boyfriend.
They all sat while the workers cleared the table and again started talking. There is no stop when Ron is involved in the conversation. The topics going from where they were living to how they were coping with the summer and how his fish glare at him every day even he gives them food.
They were having a good time but sadly, it is also time for their date, the one Taehyung is so excited about.
"Sorry guys, we have to go now." Jungkook said checking the time.
" Can't you come to club with us? We never got to experience a drunk Jungkook before and I want to see how you will be." Ron whined, an unusual thing to do for an alpha but not so unusual for Ron.
"We...planned a date and can't cancel it. So, yeah. But we can hangout next time! I will be in contact with you guys now, promise!" Jungkook added after seeing how Ron glared at him.
"Well, dates are important so we don't make you stay anymore. But let's meet soon." Woo said while,
"Let's do a collab!" Taehyung and Bin said again...at the same time and started giggling at their timing.
As they were about to get up, the alpha from before whose name Jungkook didn't remember stood up clapping his hands.
"Guys! Since all are satisfied with food, let’s start introducing ourselves. I want to know what you guys are doing in your life now." he said and Jungkook has no way to escape because all are agreeing and even Taehyung took hold of his hand pressed it.
"We can go after this. Just another thirty minutes Koo." Taehyung whispered when he saw how Jungkook frowned at the idea of being late for their date.
Jungkook knew. He knew they were doing it for him. Knew they were waiting for a chance to joke on him again. He doesn't even know what he did to them to make them behave like this.
"Hey guys, it's me Ron and I am sure you all remember me and if you didn't then make sure to remember now. Or else I am going to haunt you in your dreams." Ron said making the other laugh and comment on how could they forget this idiot alpha who used to run across the halls to catch the flies.
Woo and Bin too introduced themselves and some of them already pointing how they watch his videos and at that the others asked about it.
"I am a youtuber. You can find it easily if you search my name." Bin said, seeming shy to say anything more.
And then the whole room attention is on Jungkook so he spoke.
"Hey, it's Jungkook and I don't if any of you know me." Jungkook said.
"Who would forget you? Guys! It's the nerdy. Ring any bells?" the alpha from earlier said and now Jungkook could see the people who didn't remember him before recognized him if the 'ah' they released are any proof.
"What are you doing now Jungkook? I remember you are intrested in literature at that time." Some omega asked, and she almost seeming genuine. So, Jungkook answered.
"I am an author now." He answered to which some of them got interested.
"My girlfriend reads a lot. Can you tell me your book name? I will know if it is any of what she reads." Some alpha asked.
And before he could answer, Jack interrupted.
" Books? Really? You think he wrote books? And even if he writes then your girlfriend has a poor choice man." he said to the alpha.
But they looked unphased to the remark and looked at Jungkook. So, Jungkook answered.
"Um...my recent novel is Roses and You. I am still in process of writing next now.” Jungkook said, scratching at his nape.
At the name of the novel, the alpha gasped.
"No fucking way! My girlfriend is obsessed with that novel. She still reads that book when she feels down. Says the story makes her happy." the alpha said with a laugh.
"Thanks...that's really nice to hear." Jungkook said, feeling happy about people finding happiness in his writing.
"So, you are JJK? Author of Real lies." Another beta asked, her eyes wide and mouth open.
"That book is awesome! I don't know why it didn't win the creative award last year. I really hoped you will have high votes." she continued.
"Ah... Yeah, that's me and I am still surprised on even getting a nomination for that." Jungkook answered.
"No! I am sure you will win it this year. Cause I know your recent work is awesome. I didn't get a hold of that book but I will not give up till I get that." she said.
"I can give you one if you want. I have few copies with me." Jungkook offered to which she excitedly nodded her head and so, he asked her to meet him at his publications on Tuesday to which she agreed eagerly.
While all these happened, Jack and the other alphas sat in shock, not knowing what to do. They didn't think thing will turn like this so they were not sure how to talk so, they sat in silence while the others introduced themselves.
After the introductions, Jungkook and Taehyung got up and said their byes to the new old friends and walked towards the door.
"Wait a minute Jungkook!" Someone said and when he turned to look at the person, he saw an alpha whose name he came to know as Adam, came running and stopped in front of them.
He fidgeted for a second before looking between Taehyung and Jungkook.
"I know this is uncomfortable, but I am a huge fan of you, starting watching your videos since the start so, if you don't mind, can I have a picture with you? Please?" he said.
Adam was still fidgeting but Taehyung just smiled and agreed. And they made their way outside after that.
"Who is that omega? You are asking for a pic with him?" Jack asked after the couple made their way out.
"Dude! Are you living under a rock? That's Kim Taehyung. I think he has more influence than half of the idols in our country." Ron shouted, from his seat.
"He is popular? But I never saw him in any channel." the other alpha said this time, and a lot of the people in the room scoffed in disbelief.
"Man! He is a social media influencer. Why will he be television. Try using technology." someone said making the alpha to turn red.
"Now Jack, please pay the bill and we can go to club for the evening. I hope you are the one paying because you said it's on you." Ron said in a faux sweet tone because yes, Jack said the lunch is on him. But he never said about the club and now he doesn’t want to look like a fool saying no so, he just nodded his head with a fake smile while Ron clapped his hands.
Taehyung is vibrating in his car seat by the time they reached the gallery. Jungkook laughed when Taehyung got out with a skip in his steps even before he could turn off the car engine.
"Be careful Tae." Jungkook said, coming out of the car.
"Let's go!" Taehyung said, his one hand clutching his bag while the other is linked with Jungkook's arm.
After taking a lot of pictures and enjoying the pieces in the gallery, they made their way back to the car.
"I should have taken my camera. The place is so beautiful and the lighting is also perfect to record." Taehyung whined, looking at the photos he took in his mobile.
The car ride is silent, but not uncommon for them. They made their way to Jungkook's house after buying some groceries to make dinner.
Jungkook started cooking while Taehyung went to fresh up. He was dicing some vegetables when Taehyung entered and sat at the counter beside the beta, with his still wet hair.
"So…I was thinking…" Taehyung started, making Jungkook to stop what he is doing and pay all his attention on his boyfriend who looks nervous which is very rare.
"About?" Jungkook asked, encouraging the omega to continue.
"Your bed is bigger than mine. Your shower equipment is better than mine." Taehyung said.
"You said that before Tae." Jungkook said.
"And my landlord is still devoted to not pet policy. And I want a pet!" Taehyung said whining, his hands linking behind Jungkook's neck as the beta came to stand between his legs and took the hanging towel to dry his wet hair.
"What pet do you want?" Jungkook asked, rubbing the cloth on Taehyung's hair.
"That's not the point here!" Taehyung huffed making Jungkook confuse.
"Your apartment has no such rules." Taehyung said.
"Yes?" Jungkook said.
Huffing, as his boyfriend is still confused and not getting point, Taehyung circled his legs around the beta's waist and pulled him closer.
"Maybe…I should shift here. Don't you think? Then I can have a pet." Taehyung said, his cheeks getting red by every passing minute but Jungkook couldn't see it since he is still covered with the towel.
"Oh…" Jungkook said, now understanding what all this is about. His hands stopping what he is doing.
Taehyung lifted towel slowly from one side and peeked at his boyfriend who was still standing there silently after the 'oh'.
"Baby, I could never ask for more. I love you." Jungkook said and at those words, Taehyung threw the towel on his head, aside and looked at his boyfriend with big eyes.
"Baby? You never called me that before." Taehyung said with a shy smile and leaned to kiss his boyfriend.
"If you move in with me, I will always call you baby. What do you say?" Jungkook said after breaking the kiss.
"And what about a pet?" Taehyung asked, making Jungkook to hum.
"Let's start with a fish. If we succeed in letting the fish live for more than two months, we can get whatever you want." Jungkook said to which Taehyung whined at the mention of fish but agreed after listening completely.
"Deal." the omega said, a smile never leaving his lips.
