Avengers: Legacy takes place on Earth-649 in 2045. The most similar existing universe is Earth 1-99999 (MCU), though with the X-Men presented in the Fox films, Deadpool from his own films, and the other characters from the comics. Comic book experience is not required to understand the story, and I will explain the characters not established in the X-Men, MCU, and Deadpool film series. If you have only seen the MCU films, you might want to watch X-Men, X2, X-Men: First Class, Logan, and Deadpool 1 and 2. The other X-Men and Wolverine films are less necessary. But all you need to know about Legacy is this:
It’s on Earth-649 in 2045. It’s like the MCU, but with some differences. Different people blipped, the X-Men have always existed, DC Comics exists as entertainment, and way more people are gay because I said so. Other than that, mostly canon.
