Chapter Text

Spock was generally seen as a stoic, logical person who barely showed any emotion. But you were the opposite. Emotional, joyful, and practically oozing positive vibes.

Almost no one would have anticipated that two nearly opposite people would end up dating.

But to you, Spock was one of the most loving individuals you had ever met.

Growing up, he was always curious about other cultures, you had learned. When you had first learned about this you thought it was absolutely adorable.

During the rare chance that both of your breaks matched up, the both of you spent time together in his room. You would usually just cuddle and talk about your days or do an activity together.

Today was not a good day. One of your fellow officers questioned your ability to perform your duties and made a sexist remark. And you had an accident while studying a plant from a new planet.

You were allowed to take a 2 hour break, and whaddya know? So was Spock.

“What is wrong, tal-kam?” He inquired.

"It was just a bad day, that's all. I'll be glad to hear any suggestions you have for making my day better." You replied with a sarcastic tone.

“Pasar tiempo conmigo mejoraría tu día?”

He caught you by surprise when he said that. Turning back to him, you could’ve sworn you saw a smirk on his stupidly handsome face.

“You learned to speak Spanish? What for?”

“For you. It felt logical to learn a language that both you and your family speak so that I can connect with you in more than just one language.” You felt your eyes slightly water and butterflies in your stomach. Both of you sat down on your bed.

“What did you learn first?” Your hands made their way to his hands.

“Te quiero was the first phrase I learned.” A small grin spread across his face as he spoke. “I wanted to tell you that I love you. My hypothesis was that you would enjoy it.”

“Well, your hypothesis is correct.” You paused. “Dios, te amo jodidamente. Eres encantador.” You embraced him and kissed him on the cheek.

“Te quiero mucho, querida.” He whispered in your ear.

“Yo también te amo, Spock.”

Afterwards, you rested in one another's arms.
