It was a normal day at the hideout, fights braking out and things being broken, until the Captain spoke.
This time however he stated that we were all going to some wird open field, an order by the wizard king himself.
Which all in all didn't really bother you it was more the fact the Captain wouldn't be there.
You get along with the Bulls but don't feel included most of the time.
It wasn't because you didn't like one another, it was because of how colourful they are, it makes you seem like a dull, boring and not fun person to hang with, so you never really get chosen.
When the Captain's there he makes up for it with forcing someone to be with you for the day.
And while that's good, it hurts to know no one would willingly like to spend time with you...
As you all one by one stepped through Finral's portal, Captain Yami gave a short don't get in trouble or I'll kill you speech.
Voice fadeing as you enter the other side.
There was a large open field with beautiful green grass and tall trees that gave shade for people who wish to be sheltered by the beaming massacre called the sun.
Almost immediately the wizard king began to speak, you didn't listen to the first half, but when he said somthing along the lines of...
"Get into pairs of two."
You started paying attention.
"Then you will get a mission.
Your Captain's are also informed on the mission you partake in.
Should you choose not to follow instructions and carry out the mission depending on the situation you will be taken out of the magic knights.
Choose wisely who you work with..."
And with that the crowd began to break into chatter and the air grew dense.
To you this was what you were expected to do on every mission, well not with people as you did most work alone, but still.
Heading off you go and ask Gordon if he would like to work with you.
The answer was hard to hear but it was a "sorry y/n but I'm working with someone else, maybe next time friend."
With that he walked away.
Oh you suppose that was alright as you could go and see if one of the others would like to.
Asking them all one after the other, all rejecting you saying that "They were already parred up." or "No sorry y/n."
It hurt very much. In the end you had nobody, even asking random people from different squads but there reply was no different.
Walking through the portal that Finral made, you walk to your room with tears threatening to spill.
Repeating the words 'Don't cry, your alright, I'm sure someone will come to you.' Over and over in your head, while a few tears did escape you seemed to calm down.
After a little while someone knocked on your door, before you even answered they or rather he just walked straight in.
"You look like you need a shit."
That made you laugh, who couldn't.
It was so blunt too.
Realising that your Captain was now looking at you as if you were an idiot, you quite quickly gather yourself.
Taking this opportunity he talks.
"Right... who you work'n with then?"
It dawns on you once more that you haven't got someone to work with.
The sadness and pain setting back in your already sore stomach, you get a couple words out before your voice starts to give out and crack.
"Um, nobody Captain.."
You don't look him in the face, no you can't. It would brake you knowing the look Captain Yami is giving you right now.
One with such disappointment not having anyone to stand by your side.
All that was heard was a sigh at that your train of thoughts stopped.
"Come here."
Your eyes widen just a slight bit before going back to normal.
The words were soft and made you feel at ease, you stand and walk over stopping just infront of him.
The next thing that happened was something no one would believe, Yami, Captain Yami pulled you into a hug.
It was short lived tho but it was long enough to make you feel special.
"Your work'n with me y/n.
Tell anyone about what just happened and your dead..."
A smile now placed on your lips.
"Of course, thank you Yami."
All you got was a hum in return, but that's all you needed.
