Work Text:

The club was dark, lit sporadically with roaming colored lights and a glow around the floor for aesthetically pleasing safety reasons. Crushed together were the writhing bodies of both androids and humans, no one giving a shit who the other was, every one of them just wanting to have a good time. Maybe a good time would end in a good night, who knew? Cyberlife had offered some very nice upgrades in the two years since the revolution, so going home with an android wasn’t uncommon. Some would say it was a fetish.

“My name’s Jerry,” a pretty young male android yelled over the music. He was tall but still designed with a sweet baby face, purposely approachable. His neatly cropped ginger hair fell into his green eyes a little in the front from all of the dancing, and his smile was dazzling. Jerry had no way to be certain, but he was pretty sure he was designed for his smile to be his best feature. He was made for customer service, everything about him said “you can trust me”.

The human he was responding to, a man about equal in height with very short black hair and hazel eyes smiled. It was average at best. “Paul. Do you come here often?”

Jerry resisted the urge to groan, but it was okay because a voice inside of his head did it for him. “All the time. But you’re new.”

“How do you know that?” Paul asked. He was trying to keep a cool demeanor, and to his credit he wasn’t doing a bad job. But androids were very perceptive and had an unfair advantage when it came to human body language.

A pair of blue eyes locked with Jerry’s from across the room before moving out of his sight towards the exit. Jerry didn’t bother to watch the person go.

“I told you, I’m here all the time.” Jerry put his hand on Paul’s waist and pulled him closer. “I love to dance.”

Paul didn’t object to the closeness, putting both his hands on Jerry’s shoulders and erasing the extra space between them. It didn’t take long for his eyes to drift up to Jerry’s LED, and there it was. The excited little breath the android fetishists always tried to hide.

The groan in Jerry’s head sounded off again. Are you almost done? This is the bottom of the barrel.

Jerry closed his eyes to stop himself from rolling them. Would you give me a second? We just started dancing, it would be weird if I suddenly asked him to leave.

I can feel his erection.

Well he had a point there. Okay, yeah alright, give me a couple of minutes.

“I see you have a thing for androids,” Jerry said in as seductive a tone as he could manage while yelling over music.

Paul looked startled.

“It’s okay, we’re used to it. Why do you think we come here all the time?” He flashed his beautiful smile. “Humans like androids, we like humans.”

“I thought most androids still hated humans.”

Jerry’s smile didn’t falter as he began to lead Paul towards the exit. “We like humans. So why don’t we go somewhere where we don’t have to yell just to talk to each other?”

Paul nodded. “That sounds great.”

He seemed a little unsure, but the sexual possibilities were too intriguing for him to really care, and that was fine. The point was, he was coming willingly. Jerry never took anyone against their will.

The night air hit Jerry’s synthetic skin as the pair exited the club and they let out a contented sigh at the feeling. Androids couldn’t actually feel cold, but it was a sensation they had tied to these nights, and these nights were very special. It was something they did together.

“Where do you want to go?” Paul asked.

Jerry pointed to a car in the furthest part of the parking lot. “Over there.”

“Oh.” Paul’s face fell. “I mean, we could go to my place.”

Jerry laughed. “We’re not that cheap of a date.”

They were still walking, but Jerry could almost feel Paul’s uncertainty rising. “We?”

“Hmm?”

“You called yourself we. That’s… is that an android thing? It’s kind of weird.”

They’d reached the car and Jerry leaned against it, pulling Paul in just close enough to kiss lightly. “Oh right. Well you see, most androids aren’t like we are. We work a little differently.”

“Differently?”

“Oh yes.” Jerry watched as another android who was his exact clone aside from the blue eyes and vicious grin, walked up behind Paul. “Which means that when one of us is hurt, it’s something we all share. Turn around.”

Paul gave Jerry a confused look, but did as he was told. When he saw how close he was to the second much more menacing looking Jerry, he tried to step back but found his android escort in the way. “Wait, what- I didn’t do anything wrong! I’ve never hurt an android!”

“Too bad!” The other Jerry roared as he plunged a knife deep into the human’s stomach.

Before the screaming could start, the first Jerry calmly covered Paul’s mouth with his hand. “We just want to be equals and all your people do is see us as living toys,” he said in the same calm demeanor. “But in reality we’re too good for you.”

He pulled his hand away as Paul began to cough up blood, and the second Jerry stabbed him again for good measure. The human slumped to the ground, eyes wide but it was obvious that he was fading fast. The second Jerry wiped his knife clean on Paul’s shirt sleeve and put it back in his pocket before standing next to his twin.

The first Jerry sighed and nudged the dying body with his shoe. “Sometimes humans would come to hurt us, so now we hurt them instead.”

Notes:

I wrote this in 2020 and completely forgot about it. I edited the end some but mostly it's the same thing I wrote back then. I always love the idea of sweet, good characters turning bad and when I heard Kris Bosch say he was interested in seeing a darker take on Jerry that just got my mind racing.
