Chapter Text
The world was going round and round, his head hurted like a bitch and it felt like dying when the sun rays touched his face.
Donghyuck tried to find his phone but it was nowhere close to him. He could see all his clothes all over the floor and felt that his legs were too weak to try to pick them up, so going back to sleep was not a bad idea at the moment. Closing his eyes he planned to sleep for a couple more hours or until his brother started searching for him.
“Ah Jeno, please…”
There was a moan beside him, and Donghyuck truly couldn't sleep if his best friend, Na Jaemin, continued to have wet dreams beside him.
“Jaemin shut the fuck up, before I kick you out.” He growled.
“You can't kick me out… This is not your house, Hyuckie.”
Jaemin looked as dead as he surely looked.
“But I can.” Seulgi, the real owner of the house, was in the doorway with a face that was not so friendly. “Donghyuck get your shit together, your brother called me seven times already, and Na Jaemin don’t think I forgot the mess you made in my bathroom.”
“Seulgi noona, please speak quietly.” Donghyuck whined covering his head as Seulgi opened the windows and the sun went directly into his face.
“Out now.” She went to the door again “Before I call your brother to pick you up.”
There was no better way out of this conversation other than grabbing his clothes and Jaemin out of that room. Because even if he was tired as hell it was nowhere near as bad as going home and deal with his brother.
They were out in less than ten minutes with how Seulgi looked at both of them, which ended up in a still shirtless Jaemin in the elevator with an old lady who was probably Seulgi's neighbor giving him her number.
“So as I was saying, there was no way he would show up even if he was invited.” Jaemin was putting his shirt back on while in the middle of the lobby.
“Stop messing with Jeno.” The duo stopped in front of the building while Jaemin was messaging his driver “If you hate him so much why do you keep talking about him?”
“Because he´s a fucking traitor.” Jaemin pulled a pair of glasses from his back pocket.
“Where did you get those from?”
“From the closet while you were dressing up, they will never miss it.”
Donghyuck huffed incredulous “You need therapy.”
“You know it's what that bitch always said, eat the rich!”
Right as he finished his sentence a black car stopped beside them in the street.
“You're rich Na Jaemin.” Donghyuck pulled the pairs of glasses from his face and started to walk away from his friend.
“Those are my glasses!”
“No they aren't.” He stepped in the middle of the street so the taxis would have no other option than stopping for him.
“Where are you going?”
“To hell, I don´t know.” Opening the taxi door he waves at Jaemin´s smirking on the sidewalk.
“Great, see you there!”
Jaemin entered in his car and only pulled his hand out of the window to show his middle finger, shocking a couple of old ladies that were passing by down the street. Donghyuck could only laugh and enter the taxi.
“To Seodaemun, please.”
The ride was not as quick as he thought it would be, but maybe it was the mix of all the drinks from yesterday night, which he so much regretted because his head was going crazy, and the combination of that with empty stomach didn’t make it better.
As soon as the taxi stopped in front of the building he ran inside, shades were still on and looking at both sides, it was already natural to check if there was anyone following him.
No one was on the first floor so he climbed the stairs to the second, crawling up because there was not enough energy inside him to actually go fast up the stairs, but when he finally reached the right door it was worth it. The smell coming from insider was amazing and his stomach made some really embarrassing noises.
So he knocked.
When the door opened a beautiful and small girl was right at his sight.
“It's you again.” She huffed and turned for the inside of the house “Hey, your puppy is back!”
“Let him in, please.”
“Come in, puppy.” She opened the rest of the door letting enough space for him to slide in.
“You´re a darling, this is for you.” He took off the pair of glasses handing them to the girl.
Everything around was filled with bright light colors and when the sunlight touched the surfaces was like the definition of the world home. The smell on the inside was even better, not only because of the food but everything else smelled amazing and similar to the girl who was now seated at the kitchen table looking at a boy cooking and dancing around.
“It's great to see you're still alive.”
“Great to see that you missed me so much.”
“You know I always miss you!” The boy placed a plate in front of both of the people sitting at the table and for himself.
“Talking about missing, Jaemin promised me to tell you that he misses you a lot, Renjun.” He winked to him.
That made the boy laugh.
“Jaemin would never say that to me, emphasis on never!”
Rice and kimchi made his stomach scream of happiness, and there were also homemade chocolate cookies and Donghyck felt like dying a little bit. But even if he didn't enjoy his best friend's choice of girlfriend he couldn't stop himself from actually liking her now for serving him the cookies and some juice.
“He still calls me a traitor or something like that? I bet he does.”
Donghyuck took a big spoon of rice before responding.
“Hm… Yeah, you and Jeno are forever on his dead list.”
“Guess I can´t take you to Serenity to have dinner anymore baby.” Renjun reached for his girlfriend´s hand to stroke it.
“Thank God for that.” She smiled brightly and kept eating.
Breakfast continued with only small talk coming from the couple and just some small comments that sounded more like murmurs about how simple they’re. It was weird for Donghyuck to hear such a conversation, like getting into something that he didn’t belong to, and actually didn’t.
So he only made those small comments.
Even though it was lovely to spend time with the couple it was time for him to leave. Donghyuck knew that this type of visit could not last much and neither happen as much as he wanted, only God knew how it hurted to be aware of this.
They didn't talk on their way down to the first floor, only enjoying each other's company.
“I’m glad you're here, you know that.” Renjun accompanied him to the outside of the building “I really miss you… and everyone.”
“So go to Yuta’s birthday.”
“Hyuck I-” The boy looked down, sad and reluctant.
“I know and it’s a stupid party anyways.”
“I heard you helped Yuta plan it, wasn’t it?” Renjun bumped lightly on his shoulder “I know it is going to be amazing!”
“I hope so…”
Renjun pulled him for a hug, tightening the hold like every time they saw each other. When they parted the hug Renjun smiled softly at him, caressing his right shoulder.
“Don’t die, okay?”
“I will try to…”
“Hey, puppy!” The girl came running from the inside “You forgot this.”
She threw the pair of shades he got from Jaemin this morning.
“It’s a present, darling. Keep it.” Donghyuck stretched his hand with the glasses back to the girl.
“Hm… You're a nice puppy.” She carefully grabbed the glasses looking at him with skeptical eyes “But you’re still bourgeois so… Bye puppy! Don’t get lost on your way back.”
“Goodbye, Kim Yerim.”
They both watched as Yerim entered the building again.
“I’m going now, before my brother sends the army to find me.”
He tried to wave at Renjun casually but it seemed more awkward than anything, and the boy laughed at the strangeness of his friend.
Refusing to look back while walking his way down the street, he planned on calling a car when he was fair enough. Because for some reason he thought it would be weird waiting for it after Renjun rejected his invite for Yuta´s party.
He was well aware of why Renjun couldn´t show up. What was finally more peaceful could became a chaos in less than a second, because whatever involved them and the world they grew into was-
“What the fuck?!”
Suddenly Donghyuck was on the floor, like his day was not messy enough. There was a bunch of vegetables on the floor around him and a boy with a bicycle was also on the floor.
“Jisung!”
“Who the fuck?” Cursing more because he couldn’t see shit, his head was going around again.
“Oh my God! I’m so sorry about this.” A hand appeared in his front and he grabbed “Shotaro! Come help here!”
Donghyuck got up and cleaned himself, while the boy checked if he had something broken.
“Again I’m sorry about that.”
“You should!” He pulled his phone out, texting his driver to come pick him up.
“I’m Mark by the way.”
The boy smiled softly and apologetic at him.
“And I’m out.”
Donghyuck walked away, cursing the boys for ruining the rest of his morning. He needed a massage now.
