"...and that's that!"
Alice-130 smiled and stepped away from the Mastodon, admiring her handiwork. The immense APC was a powerful vehicle already, but Alice's modifications had seen the vehicle receive more armor, more firepower and stronger wheels at the cost of movement speed, but Alice thought such a sacrifice was worth it. Heavy footsteps from behind caught her attention and Alice turned to find Douglas-042 approaching, a smirk on his pale face.
"Worked wonders on that thing, eh Alice?" He mused, patting one of the wheels with a gloved hand. Alice rested one hand on her hips, the other twirling the wrench she'd been using. Had anybody else been twirling a wrench at such speed, it would've been a safety hazard. But Alice was a professional. She threw the wrench up and caught it, then nodded to Douglas.
"Yeah, I figured I'd put my engineering skills to the test. Wanna take it for a ride later?" Douglas' eyes flashed with something akin to excitement as he stepped away from the APC and gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze.
"You know me, Alice." He smirked. "I'm always down for a ride with you." With that he walked away, leaving a somewhat flustered Alice alone to her thoughts.
