The welcoming blue skies gave way to the lovely shades of purple and red, as the sun slowly started gliding to the horizon and past it, into darkness grasp.
There is a soft warm breeze near the ocean and as a tide is coming in, it erases recent writing on the sand, and with it it almost takes away a tool with which the writing was made - a simple stick. Luckily the boy managed to retrieve his tool, before it washed away.
Footsteps are heard and as a boy turns to look at an intruder, he smiles and says:
— it's a lovely day for swimming.
Breeze flows through and ruffles their hair.
— I know. — answers the girl. — but we can't.
— Who will stop us? — Asks the boy.
The girl just laughs. They're the only ones on the beach. There's a pause.
— You know... — The girl says.
— ...yes. — the boy sighs. Even though the sentence was unfinished, they both knew the meaning.
— Where? — He asks. Looking at the city and turning his gaze back to the vast ocean.
— Away. —She says.
«How far?» The boy thinks, but doesn't say.
— Till we find home. — The girl says.
The boy laughs.
The beach is barren without them and the only way anyone knows someone was here is a lying stick near the water, but not enough for it to be reached by the incoming tide.
The boy and the girl continue their track, to finding what they are looking for. Where will the adventure take them? No matter where, they are remembered, since the sea, the sky, the trees, the ground, the city is not blind nor deaf.
