The irony had not been lost upon Spock when he discovered that along with Vulcan telepathy, but also had inherited his mother’s ability to manipulate liquid matter. A child of a desert planet had been born a water bender, like his human mother and sister.
And upon enlisting into Star Fleet he had met other benders, others like Jim Kirk, who had the ability to bend all four elements. Spock had heard stories from his mother about the avatars. One singular person who was able to wield and control all elements at once. And Spock had found him quite fascinating.
