Day 4 - Wine

(Credit to Digit for putting Wine Aunt Tikki in my brain and making it the only thing I can think of for this prompt).

Work Text:

Tikki rarely found students in the classrooms during lunchtime—aside from the occasional snogging couple that was soon to skitter off with a single word from her—which made it the perfect time for a reprieve away from all of the school’s ruckus.

And Félix, her long-time student, seemed to agree, as she’d often find him alone in a classroom. She wouldn’t be surprised if today that wouldn’t be the case, though, as he seemed to have found common ground with a peer this year.

But alas, there he was, in the front middle seat of the physics class.

“I thought you’d be spending this break with your new friend,” Tikki said, pulling the chair besides Félix and turning it to sit on it.

Félix blushed lightly, then shook his head, straightening up on his seat as Tikki placed two glasses on the desk between them.

She snorted, taking out the juice box and her thermos from her bag. “I appreciate the esteem to our routine, Félix, but I don’t want you thinking that I’m the one in desperate need of company here.”

He grunted with the back of his throat, holding out his cup for Tikki to pour the grape juice into it. She did, then picked her thermos to pour her alcohol-free wine into her glass.

“What? Am I wrong?”

He gave a curt nod, turning the juice glass over his mouth like it was the strongest whiskey he ever had.

“Uh-hum.” She swirled the alcohol-free wine in her hand before taking a sip. Although the sweet aroma wasn’t present to flush her porous, the taste was close enough to serve as a nice, and safe, break for when she still had school hours to fulfill. “Keep telling yourself that.”

Notes:

This is the last piece I had written ahead of time for these prompts, so now I’ll just be posting for whatever I end up writing on time.

Also, I’ve been traveling this whole week (going back home today) and it drained me out a bit, so I might take some days back home to just rest (or I might get a bolt of energy and write something new, who knows with my brain?)

Anyhow, thanks for reading! And here’s a sketch of Prof Tikki arriving in class:
