The rangers were all hanging out in the base. Izzy and Amelia were talking, while Javi, Ollie, and Zayton were talking. Just after Javi made a joke the ranger hotline got a call.
“It looks like Villain Knight and another monster are down town near the bay.” Solon said.
“We better get going!” Zayton said before the team teleported out.
The rangers get to the bay and see a bunch on civilians running away, and then they see the monsters.
“Oh hello rangers! Fancy seeing you here.” You can called me Heartthrob.” The monster/ heartthrob says.
“That was a cute introduction, but we’ve gotta cut ours short.” Zayton says. “It’s morphing time!”
All the rangers pull out their mophers and morph.
“Get them hencemen!” Heartthrober says.
Along with the hencemen Villain King also joins them.
Amelia gets done fighter her hencemen first and go’s after Heartthrob. She eventually knocks her to the ground
“Oh you’re going to regret that!” Heartthrob says.
Heartthrob pulls out a weapon. It looks to be some sort of dart blower machine. She aims at Amelia and hits her.
Ollie, seeing what happened, runs over and fights Heartthrob, while Amelia demorphs and stays down. Zayton and the others come rushing by her side.
Ollie is stilling fighting Heartthrob. He almost defeats her, but she manages to get out her dart machine and fire one at him. Ollie gets knocked back and gets demorphed. The others stare at Heartthrob and are about to attack.
“Well, I got a deal! I was only expecting to hit one ranger, but two is more fun! I’ve gotta go though, so have fun with your little friends!” Heartthrob says before vanishing. The others rush back to Amelia and Ollie.
“Hey are you okay?” Zayton says to Amelia.
”Yeah, I’m just really dizzy.” Amelia says looking into Zayton’s eyes. She then gets really clingy to him and Zayton goes into shock.
“Umm, what’s happening!?” Zayton says.
“I’m not sure, but it most have been with the dart that the monster shot at her.” Izzy says.
Over on the other side, Javi is with Ollie making sure he’s okay.
”You okay, Ollie?” Javi says.
”Yeah I’ve never felt better!” Ollie says happily, while looking at Javi.
“Hey guys, we gotta get back to the base somethings wrong with Amelia.” Izzy says.
“Okay.” Javi and Ollie say. They all teleport back to the base, with Amelia still attached to Zayton.
Once back at the base they tell Solon what happened. How both Amelia and Ollie got hit with the darts from the monster, but only one of them is reacting.
“Oh no, this isn’t good! How will Amelia be able to fight!?”
“Yeah that’s what we were thinking. Maybe if we have one of the darts you might be able to find an antidote for them? That also would maybe explain why Amelia is acting up, but Ollie isn’t.” Izzy says.
”Great thinking Izzy! Do one of you have the dart that the monster shot?” Solon asks.
”I do!” Ollie says while handing it to Solon.
“Okay great! I will just need Amelia and Ollie to stay back, but I mean I guess Zayton has to stay back to.”
“Yeah, I guess I do.” Zayton says.
”If you wouldn’t mind, can the rest of you leave? I need very extreme concentration.”
“Yeah, we’ll be out of your hair.” Izzy says as her and her brother leave.
“Okay, now let’s get to figuring out what’s in this.” Solon says.
Outside of the base, Izzy and Javi head to BuzzBlast so Javi can get to work.
After a couple of hours the monster returns and Izzy and Javi go after it. While in the mist of a fight the monster blurts out some very helpful information.
“You know the darts I hit your friends with were love darts! When you look at someone, after being hit, you instantly fall in love with them. The main ingredient in it is oxytocin. Which sends signals to the brain to make them feel love. Now the only way to stop it is to get an antidote, which I have in my pocket. Dang it! I said to much!” Heartthrob says.
After hearing this information Javi and Izzy attack. After a little the monster grows big and they ask Solon to send the zords. After they defeat Heartthrob they get the jar of antidote and teleport to the base.
”Oh good you’re back! What’s that?” Solon asks.
“Oh just the antidote the monster dropped to get rid of the potion.” Javi says excitedly.
“Oh perfect!” Zayton and Solon both say.
Javi hands the bottle over to Solon to pour into cups to give Ollie and Amelia. They both drink it. Ollie doesn’t look or feel different. Amelia, after a couple of seconds, stops clinging onto Zayton and gets confused.
“What happened? Why was a clinging onto Zayton?” She asked.
”You were under a love potion with Ollie. Zayton was the first person you saw, so you feel in love with him.” Izzy says.
”But that doesn’t make sense.” Javi says.
”If Ollie and Amelia both got hit them why wasn’t Ollie affected?” Javi asks.
Ollie turns pale and says, “I’ve gotta go see if my mom needs help, she texted me and asked for my help, but I couldn’t leave.” Ollie says as he teleports out.
”Well Javi.” Solon says. “If the substance oxytocin is already inside someone’s body when they look at someone, then what’s the point of adding more? It’s not going to make the chemical exist if it already does.” Solon says.
”What?” Javi says.
”Basically. Love darts can’t work on someone who’s already in love. When Ollie got shot and saw you nothing happened, but when Amelia got shot and saw Zayton the chemical released and made her like Zayton. You get what we’re saying?” Izzy says.
”Yeah I think I do! I’m gonna go find Ollie!” Javi says as he teleports.
“You know Izzy, I love your brother, but he can be really oblivious sometimes.” Amelia says.
Ollie wasn’t exactly lying when he said his mom texted and asked for help. She did, but with it being hours after she texted she didn’t need his help anymore. Ollie just had to get out of there because the other were going to tell Javi. Ollie didn’t want to be there when it happened in fear of embarrassment and rejection. So he went to the park. The park had an amazing view of the city from it. After Ollie found this spot, in the park, he would go their to clear his head. Ollie was still in deep thought when he heard…
“Is this spot taken?”
He looked over and saw Javi. Ollie figured he might as well face the truth soon then later so he said…
”No, feel free.”
The two boys sat in silence for a bit when Javi spoke up.
“The others told me about the dart and what it means.”
“Yeah, I kinda figured, that’s why I left. I couldn’t stand seeing you find out and then face anything that was going to happen after what you found out in front of them.” Ollie said.
”You know they wouldn’t judge. I mean look at Izzy! She has a girlfriend, and no one cares.” Javi said with a comfortable voice.
”Yeah I know that, it’s just I couldn’t do this with them watching. I would have gotten to nervous or I would try and avoid the topic till it tore us apart even more.” Ollie said looking at Javi.
“I wouldn’t let you leave then. I would force you to talk about it. Because we need to. Ollie I don’t know what goes on inside that head of yours but please let me in. I know you’re probably scared of me rejecting you, but I won’t. Ollie I like you. I have since I saw you outside the interviewing room, when I was trying to get hired at buzzblast. I was just confused on how to tell you.” Javi said looking at the ground.
Ollie stayed quite for a bit trying to process the information.
“You like me? You fell for me the first time you saw me? Javi I- I don’t even know what to say.” Ollie said nervously
“Then don’t say anything.” Javi said leaning in.
They’re lips met eachother and it was like fireworks had gone off in each of their stomachs. They’re lips fit each other like two puzzle pieces that just connected.
Ollie was first to break the kiss just because he needed to breath.
“That was, amazing. I’m happy you followed me here. I also like you too, if you didn’t catch it.” Ollie said shyly.
“Oh I think I caught it very clearly.” Javi said while going in for another kiss.
