“Seriously, that’s cheating.” Sweet pea said while smashing the buttons on his controller.
“How is that cheating?” Fangs asked.
“She literally had me backed into a corner and just kept hitting me.”
“Anything it takes to win right Sweets?” Toni said with a chuckle.
Toni was so caught up in the game she didn’t even notice that Cheryl had come down stairs and had sat down on the arm of the couch right next to her.
“Oh man bullshit.” Sweet pea shouted.
Cheryl had been sitting there for a few minutes just moving her hands up and down Tonis arm. But, that was getting her nowhere so she began to whisper in her girlfriends ear.
“Do you maybe want to do me in a couple of rounds?” Cheryl whispered.
But, Toni acted as though her girlfriend wasn’t even there. That’s when Cheryl began running her hand up the back of her girlfriends shirt.
“Babe can you like stop, you’re kind of messing me up.” Toni said while moving further away from Cheryl.
“Seriously?” Cheryl shouted.
Causing everyone to draw their attention to her.
Toni looked at her confused. “What?”
“What?” Cheryl repeated.
“Why are you yelling?
“Oh gee Toni, I don’t know, maybe it’s the fact that I’ve been sitting here trying to get your attention but, you’d rather sit there and focus on a god damn video game and act like I just don’t exist.”
“Cher, it’s not like that I’m just trying to spend some time with Sweet pea and Fangs.”
“Like always.”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“That’s all you ever do, you’re either with them or the Serpents or you’re working.”
“So now you’re pissed because I work?”
“You’re missing the point Toni, I hardly ever see you. We haven’t even had sex in like a month, anytime I’m in the mood you’re either too tired or too busy.”
“Uhhh, you know Sweets and I should probably head home.” Fangs said not knowing what to think.
“No, you guys don’t have to leave.” Toni said.
“Well, looks like we’re not leaving.” Sweet pea said looking at his phone.
“What why?” Fangs asked.
“Well I just got a text from Jughead saying to stay off the roads because they are like ice right now.”
“Didn’t seem like the snow was coming down that bad earlier.” Toni said.
Sweet pea shrugged while throwing himself onto the couch.
“Well this is just great.” Cheryl said while disappearing upstairs.
Toni sighed while sitting down next to Sweet pea.
“You not gonna to go after her?
Toni shook her head. “She needs some time to cool down.”
Sweet pea let out a slight chuckle. “No sex in a month huh?”
“Don’t you even start.” Toni said while punching his arm.
“Ouch, I wasn’t even going to say anything to poke fun. All I was going to say is maybe red just needs to get laid.”
Toni rolled her eyes. “Yeah, I’m sure that’ll fix everything.”
“Or maybe she just misses spending time with you.” Fangs chimed in.
Toni sat there a moment, the more she started to think about it the more she began to think the boys were right. She sighed while getting up and making her way towards the stairs.
“Cher.” Toni said standing in the door way of their bedroom.
Cheryl was laying in bed reading a book, she looked up for a second and gave her girlfriend a glare before looking back down.
“Are you that mad?”
“Do you even have to ask?”
“Okay, I’m sorry.”
Cheryl rolled her eyes. “That doesn’t fix anything.”
Toni sighed while sitting down next to her girlfriend.
She honestly didn’t know what to say at this point so she leaned in to try and kiss her but, she was met with the palm of a hand instead.
“Seriously, I thought you wanted to have sex.”
“Not anymore.” Her girlfriend said still not looking up from her book.
“Why?”
“Because you didn’t want to and now I’m not in the mood and the only reason you even want to now is because you know I’m mad at you.”
“So I try and do exactly what you want and now you don’t want to?”
“Toni, this isn’t just about sex.”
“Then what is it about?”
Cheryl chuckled. “The fact that you would rather spend time with Sweet pea and Fangs.”
“So now it’s about me spending time with the boys?” Toni said not believing how ridiculous her girlfriend was being.
Cheryl sat her book down while looking up at the girl in front of her. “You are always with them any chance you get.”
“You know that’s not true.”
Cheryl rolled her eyes.
“Get out.” Cheryl said while picking her book back up.
“Cher, come on.”
“I don’t want to talk to right now Toni, grab a pillow on your way out while you’re at it you can sleep down stairs with the boys tonight.”
“You’re crazy you know that?”
“Don’t talk to me like I’m crazy when you’re the one that’s too dumb to even see that my feelings are hurt.” She said trying to fight back the tears that were threatening to spill.
“Babe-“
“Toni just get out.”
Toni shook her head while grabbing her pillow.
“So, how’d it go with red?” Sweet pea asked as Toni made her way back down stairs.
“How do you think?” Toni said while tossing her pillow on the couch.
“That bad?”
“What did you say to her?” Fangs asked.
“Nothing, I tried apologizing. I even tried to fix it with sex. She says I never make time for her that I’m always with you guys any chance I get.”
Sweet pea and Fangs gave each other a look.
“What?” Toni asked.
“Well reds not wrong.”
“What do you mean? We literally went out and seen a movie last weekend.”
“Which you kind of let us crash.” Fangs said.
“Okay, but we also hung out at Peas trailer yesterday.”
“And played video games.” Sweet pea added.
“What does us playing video games have to do with anything?”
Sweet pea chuckled. “Tiny I love you but, you’re dumb.”
Toni gave him a glare causing the boy to put his hands up in surrender.
“What Sweets is trying to say is the time you’re referring to Cheryl literally sat there and read a book, I don’t think you guys even said one word to each other that night.”
Finally the realization hit her. “Shit, I am dumb you guys are right.” She said mentally slapping herself.
“Told ya.” Sweet pea said.
“You know you’re not helping yourself right now.” Toni said looking over at him.
“You should try talking to her again, this time hear her out.” Fangs spoke up.
Toni nodded, while standing up and making her way back up towards the stairs. She hesitated when she made it to their bedroom door.
She took a deep breath while knocking.
“Go away.” Cheryl yelled.
“Babe, can we please talk?”
“I don’t want to talk to you.” The girl yelled.
Toni sighed. “Then I’ll just say what I gotta say out here. I’m an idiot, I guess I didn’t realize that I haven’t been spending time with you like I thought I was. I’m so sorry it’s not that I don’t want to I just got so caught with the boys. When you and I first got together I literally spent every waking minute with you. I pretty much pushed them to the side without a second though, I missed them. So much so that I’ve literally been ignoring you and didn’t even realize it. Cheryl I love you and I’m so sorry, please let me make it up to you.”
Toni stood there a while not hearing anything from the girl on the other side of the door. She then began to assume that everything she just said was pointless.
She started to walk back towards the stairs until the door swung open.
She turned around only to be met with a teary eyed Cheryl. “Toni-“ was all she could say before wrapping her arms around the shorter girl.
“Hey.” Toni said while running her hand up and down her girlfriends back trying to sooth her.
“I’m sorry I got so angry.”
“You don’t have to apologize for anything, I’m the one that needs to apologize.”
“I wasn’t trying to steal you away from your friends.”
“You didn’t steal me away, everything that I told you thats all on me.” She said pulling away to look at the girl in front of her.
“I love you.” Cheryl said.
“I love you too.” Toni said while bringing her hand to her girlfriends cheek.
“Now how about doin you in those couple of rounds?”
Cheryl smiled while leaning in to kiss her girlfriend. “While the boys are here?”
Toni shrugged. “Why not?”
Cheryl chucked while grabbing Toni’s hand leading her into the bedroom.
“That was amazing.” Cheryl said while trailing her fingers up and down Toni’s arm.
“People always say make up sex is the best.”
“Do you maybe want to go back down stairs with the boys?” Cheryl asked.
Toni shook her head. “I’d rather lay here with you.”
