Froggy, stuck in a forest hiding from everyone while being embarrassed about his new self, looking at the mirror and finding someone he didn't know, it wasn't easy for him.
coming back to the cold and empty cave he called with no one to ask him how his day went, waking up to only himself, not having anyone to share his feelings with, it was all Morina's fault she was his first love, so he kept all the shame and guilt inside him, it's not like there was anyone willing to listen, Charlie started ignoring his emotions because realizing how pitiful he was just made things worse, he read tons of books to forget about the world surrounding him but still everything came back from time to time. The feeling rested in the pit of his heart and soul for a long time, everything seemed sour but no one cared, there truly was no one around.
As time passed the prince accepted his fate, losing the little hope he did have deep within himself, Charlie missed his brothers more than anything but it was him to blame, he didn't have the courage to face them, he felt useless and selfish.
On the other hand, no one would expect the queen to be lonely, but she was.
Red became queen young, way too young
And even before that people would find her too much to handle, annoying, selfish, and such. Of course, she didn't have many friends, that being one of the main reasons for her past (and now embarrassing) obsession with Jack, who was the only person that made her company, and now she knew that it wasn't because he wanted to, it was all pity and he regretted every second.
Loneliness was what pushed her over the edge every single time, it is what made her ruin goldilocks' life.
And it was a feeling she thought she deserved, her family also made her feel like she deserved it, her own kingdom and all the other queens, she was so different from them, she had no one but her granny, but she was an old woman so even thought Red loved her as a child loves their mother, it wasn't the same as having someone to share with.
Wishing to have anyone so nice that they help you ease the pain inside your lonely heart, someone that makes you forget how hurt you've been, someone to talk to, to be honest, someone who sees in you what the rest of the world can't.
It seemed impossible.
Luckily Red and Charlie found one another.
It didn't take them long to build thrust in one another, Red was embarrassed about how easily she opened up to him, and Charlie was surprised, he never thought that red could be such a good companion, they talked about anything, it was a different kind of thrust and mutual understanding so their relationship started rather quickly because of it.
The hard days would end with smiles after Froggy read the letters Red sent him from her Kingdom, with hergenuine personality those letters were the best thing in the world, it was the highlight of his day.
The feeling of being left out ended when Charlie would sit next to her at many of Cinderella's balls, he was the greatest comfort she cold ever find. When they made jokes no one else could understand or when they held hands loneliness was the last thing they felt. Love being the main one, thrust coming right after, and most importantly there was friendship, because Red and Charlie aren't just lovers, they are also each other's confidents, each other's best friends.
Sometimes it all feels like a dream, but them being together was real, and it felt amazing.
The emptiness was gone for good.
