It was a Queen Industries gala that made Maddy finally feel like part of the team. She was invited as the new scientist and tech engender. Oliver had said that he had someone he wanted Maddy to meet. Maddy chucked on a purple jumpsuit and went to the gala. When she arrived, she was immediately pulled aside by Diggle and Felicity.
"What's happening?", asked Maddy, "I feel like I'm being kidnapped.".
"We're just taking to Mr Queen.", Felicity explained.
"Ah, Maddy.", Oliver said, approaching her and showing her the way, "I want you to meet Sara Lance, Laurel's sister.".
He then left Maddy to talk to Sara.
"So you're the famous Madeleine Luthor huh?", Sara asked, "I gotta admit, I wasn't expecting...".
"A 12 year old?", Maddy finshed.
"Yeah.".
"Most people don't.".
"You must be pretty smart then to get a job that most adults can't.".
"I guess. It always felt weird though. In primary school there was a group of girls that pretended to be my friends just so that I could so their homework.".
"That's awful.".
"Well that's my life story for you.".
Sara and Maddy clicked instantly and have been close since.
