Work Text:

Porsche opened Chay's bedroom door as Kinn wrapped his arms around his shoulders. They were greeted with Khun fussing over the decorations whilst Pol and Arm were talking with Chay. As they heard the opening of the door, Chay turned around and beamed as he saw Porsche, who returned the smile. He let go of Kinn as he opened his arms, to which Chay landed in, making a happy noise. They held each other for a few moments, Porsche rubbing his hands over the younger's back and kissing his forehead. It had only been a few days, yet he missed his brother like crazy. Porsche didn't know how he was able to survive months without his brother. He still didn't like the idea of Chay being around the dangers that came with the Theerapanyakuns, but he was grateful to be around his brother and make up for all of their lost time.

"Happy birthday hia!" Chay all but screamed smiling widely. Porsche smiled as he looked around the room. Chay's new room looked to be thrice as large as his old room. It wasn't an apartment like his and Kinn's rooms, but it was gigantic. There was a fully furnished living area with a television and king-sized bed. There was a desk where Chay could do his homework and he even had a terrace. Porsche was glad that his brother was being taken care of.

The room had balloons surrounding the couches and streamers tied to the ceiling. The aroma of Porsche's favourite dishes wafted through the air, causing his stomach to growl. His heart warmed at the preparations his brother made to celebrate his birthday, although it had already passed.

"Thank you Chay," he smiled, patting his hair.

"Do you like the decorations?" Tankhun asked, throwing his fluffy pink coat off his right shoulder. "I did it myself."

Porsche smiled, "I do, Tankhun. Thank you." Tankhun shrugged his shoulders dramatically, looking satisfied.

Chay sat everyone down on the couches as they ate the delicious food that was provided for them. They enjoyed the evening, watching a drama that Tankhun wanted to watch. During one of the comical scenes, Porsche turned to look at his brother. Chay was smiling but Porsche could tell that there was something on his mind, something bothering him, upsetting him.

Porsche knew his brother like the back of his hand. He knew that when Chay was genuinely smiling, there were creases around his eyes, making them turn into small slits. His smile became so wide that all of teeth would show and sometimes even his gums. His cheeks would flush, going all the way down to his neck and spreading onto his ears. So yes, even though his brother was smiling and enjoying the evening with everyone, he was upset.

Once the food was taken away, Chay left the room and came back with Porsche's favourite cake for his birthday. Chay put the cake down on the table and lit the candle under all of the elders' watchful eyes. Porsche smiled and clapped as everyone sang and made his wish.

I wish the important people in my life are always happy.

He thought about his brother, Kinn and everyone he met in the house who became like family to him as he opened his eyes and blew out the candles. Chay cheered as he took pictures on his phone. They watched as Porsche cut the first slice of cake and fed Chay, causing Kinn to pout and Chay to look smug. Porsche rolled his eyes and then fed Kinn who lit up like a Christmas tree. Arm and Pol shared a slice of cake, most of it ending up on their faces.

Tankhun squawked when Kinn swiped frosting across his cheek, causing Chay to burst out into giggles. Kinn looked at the youngest, mischief in his eyes, and proceeded to do the same thing to him. Porsche looked at the scene, his chest warm. He knew that Chay had a hard time accepting Porsche's new lifestyle, but he knew that his big brother was in love and happy and he would never take that away from him. Kinn and Chay only met briefly but seeing them together like they've known each other forever, made Porsche so happy.

When they finished eating, they each had turns going into the bathroom and washing up. Chay sighed as he looked at himself in the mirror. He took in his flushed appearance; he laughed so much tonight, more than he had in a long time. He smiled but then it faded as he remembered why he was upset in the first place. Having his brother with him temporarily forget about the heartbreak he felt. But of course, the feeling came back. The sadness he felt, felt so deep that he didn't think he would ever recover. All he could think about was Kim's cold words to him: why else would I tutor you?

Chay closed his eyes, not wanting to relive that moment as he had been doing since it happened. Watching Kinn with Porsche made him feel bittersweet. He was so happy for his brother, he deserved to have someone who loved him and cared so deeply for him. But watching them just made the hole in his heart even wider, because when would he find a love like that? All he got was someone who lied to him to get information about his brother. He didn't think he could cry this much but hey, you learn something new every day.

"Dang it," he muttered as his eyes burned, tears once again falling down his cheeks. The crying turned into full-fledged sobbing. He covered his mouth to hide the noise from the others outside, breathing and sniffing through his nose.

Outside, Kinn and Porsche were leaning against each other as Tankhun was sitting on the single loveseat with Arm and Pol waiting for their turn in the bathroom. Kinn looked at Porsche and smiled when he saw how happy his boyfriend looked. "Do you like this surprise more than mine?" He mockingly pouted.

Porsche rolled his eyes, pushing his forehead and went back to snuggling against his neck. "I love both of your surprises all the same but differently. You're my boyfriend, he's my brother." Kinn smiled, he loved hearing Porsche calling him his boyfriend. "Chay and I haven't celebrated a birthday properly in a long time, you know? Our uncle was always in debt, and we were busy with paying them off and putting Chay through school, so we never got to have a whole cake and our favourite foods. The most we had was a slice of cake from the convenience store, just one because we couldn't afford two, and sharing it. I never thought that we would ever have this, thank you," he smiled softly.

Kinn leaned his head against Porsche's, kissing him on the forehead. His chest burned knowing that when Kinn and his brothers were throwing lavish parties, indulging in anything they could ever want, Porsche and Chay were struggling to get one slice of cake. That was going to change. Porsche and Chay were going to be taken care of, they will never have to worry about anything ever again.

"Um, Khun Kinn, Porsche," Arm's concerned voice brought them out of their moment. "I think Porschay is crying."

Porsche jumped off the couch, along with Kinn, and made his way to the bathroom. He tried to open the door, but it was locked. He signalled everyone to be quiet and was able to hear the quiet sniffles through the door. "Chay, what's wrong?" Porsche asked, pressing his forehead against the door.

"Nothing hia, I'm fine," came his muffled voice. Porsche frowned; he could tell by his voice that his brother was crying.

He shared a concerned look with Kinn and tried asking again, yet the answer came out to be the same. Dread pooled in his stomach along with sadness. Something was wrong and it was causing his baby brother to be upset and cry, and he felt like he couldn't talk to Porsche about it. Porsche didn't like that at all. He wanted Chay to talk to him about anything and everything in his life, he hoped that their months apart didn't stop that.

"Chay, if you don't open this door, Kinn, Arm, and Pol are going to shoot it down."

The mentioned men looked at him like he was crazy, but he knew that his brother didn't like violence, especially having gone through the lone sharks barging in and trashing their house. He was going to open the door.

The rattling of the door handle made Porsche smile at them smugly. Knew it. He was met with the sight of Chay's swollen bloodshot eyes and wet, red cheeks. Porsche immediately gathered Chay in his arms, which was all he needed to dissolve into tears once more. Porsche rubbed his back as he settled them on the couch, Chay laying on top of Porsche with his head on his chest. Pol and Arm were in the bathroom, so it was just the two pairs of brothers.

"What happened Chay? And don't say 'nothing' because I know you've been upset all night. Was it me? Did I do something wrong?" Chay shook his head, pressing himself closer to Porsche.

"No you didn't do anything wrong. I don't want to bother you with my problems. You put up with me enough," he murmured.

Porsche pushed Chay slightly away from him, so he was able to look down at him. "Don't ever say that again," he said almost angrily. "You are my brother and I want you to come and talk to me whenever something is bothering you. I don't 'put up with you', Chay. You’re my brother and I love you very very much." Chay blinked back tears as he put his head on his brother's chest once more. "Now, if it's not something I did, then did something happen whilst Kinn and I were away?"

It was Tankhun's turn to be confused. "Whilst you were away, I was the one who was with Porschay. Did I hurt you?"

Chay shook his head as he took a big breath, "Hia, Wik is P'Kim." Both Theerapanyakun brothers' heads snapped up at the mention of their brother's name. Porsche recognised both names but didn't seem to understand. "What are you talking about, Chay?"

"Wik, the singer that I like," love, "is P'Kim, P'Tankhun and P'Kinn's brother," Chay clarified.

The gears started turning in the older man's head. "Wait, you told me that Wik was tutoring you in playing guitar. So you mean that Kim was the one who was tutoring you?"

Chay nodded.

Kinn was as confused as was Tankhun. "Porschay, start from the beginning. When did he start tutoring you?"

"So, I met him when he performed at the open house at the university and there was a little trivia competition about Wik. I was the extra winner so there wasn't a prize for me, but P'Kim signed my uniform," he sighed at the fond memory. "He also told me to ask for whatever I wanted and I asked for guitar lessons but he said no. Later that night, I got a call from an unknown number and it was P'Kim; he asked me if I still wanted lessons and I said 'yes' of course."

"Is that why you looked shocked when you saw him in our family portrait? Because you didn't know that he was a Theerapanyakun?" Tankhun asked. It was odd for Kim to go out of his way to befriend other people, as he tended to keep to himself.

Chay shook his head. "No P', I didn't. During our first lesson I wrote a song on hia and P'Kim said that he didn't have siblings, that's why I was shocked when I saw him in your family photo." Chay started to sniffle his nose.

"But I saw him a few days ago, at his apartment, and I asked him why he lied to me. He only tutored me to get more information on hia," he cried. Tankhun let out an angry noise and Kinn dropped his head in frustration.

His brother was so stupid and now Chay had to suffer because of it.

Porsche hummed soothingly as he raked his hands up and down his brother's back, trying to get him to relax.

"A-a-and," Chay hiccupped, "I really liked him. And I thought that he liked me back, but I guess it makes sense. Why would someone like him even bother with a loser like me?"

Porsche growled as Tankhun got up and stalked towards Chay. He pulled Chay away from his brother and knocked Porsche's legs off the couch so he could sit down, even though there was enough space for him to sit. He pulled off his fluffy jacket and draped it over Chay's shoulders. "Listen right here, Porschay. I will not let this low self-esteem go on any further, you hear me? You are absolutely adorable, funny, kind, and you just finished one of the best high schools in the country, top in your class. You got into the best university for music. I will not have you crying over some man," he wrinkled his nose as Kinn snorted loudly.

"But P' I really liked him, and it makes sense. He showed up to the house without me telling him where we lived. He stopped messaging and meeting up with me out of nowhere. I bet he just kissed me and stayed the night to get me to shut up-"

"Kiss?" Porsche exclaimed, "I'm going to kill him!" He stood up but was held back when Tankhun threw a pillow at him, causing him to sit back down. "You can't kill Kim even though he deserves it, he hurt my sweet baby Porschay," Tankhun pouted as he pushed Chay's cheeks together. "Now Chay, you may like him, I don't know why because he wears the same jacket every day, like he doesn't have a billion of them-"

"Okay!" Kinn cut him off. "Kim is an idiot, Porschay, and I'm sorry that he hurt you. Tankhun is right, you deserve better than him. And it will take time, but you will get over him and it will start to hurt less."

Porsche was able to pull his brother away from Tankhun and back into his arms. "I'm always going to be here for you, Chay. I never want you to think that you can't talk to me about anything. As much as I want to break Kim's hands for kissing you and staying the night," he shuddered, "I can't do that because he belongs to an important family, I guess," Chay cracked a smile.

"I'll always be here for you, Chay," Porsche smiled.

Kinn smiled at them, "me too, Porschay."

"I'm on Team Porschay too!" Screamed Tankhun.

The night ended in Tankhun going back to his rooms with Arm and Pol whilst Chay fell asleep on his brother. They manoeuvred him to his bed and Porsche laid down beside him. He turned to Kinn, who was looking at him pointedly. "I'm not leaving him alone tonight," he said. It was not a question.

Kinn sighed, rolling his eyes fondly as he walked over to the other side of the bed. Porschay meant a lot to Porsche, Kinn knew that. They were fiercely protective over each other since they only had each other since their parents died. Kinn was never one for sharing yet it was easy when it came to Chay. Kinn hadn't had this sort of relationship with his brothers in a very long time so seeing Porsche and his brother felt foreign but also refreshing.

Chay was only eighteen, too young to be alone, left behind. "What are you doing?" Porsche asked, wrapping his arm around Chay. Kinn smiled at him, hesitantly hovering his hand over Chay's head but ultimately pulled away.

"If you're staying then so am I."

Porsche beamed, "I love you."

Kinn smiled back, "I love you too."

Chay wasn't going to be alone anymore.

---

"I want to drive!" Chay jumped at the car keys that Porsche held out of his reach and missed, pouting.

Chay had never been driven to school since he was young. He normally walked or took the bus, and he was going to rely on public transportation when he started university. All changed when he started living at the mansion. Khun Korn made sure that he was driven and picked up from school, much to Chay's protests. He didn't want anyone to waste their time on him, he wasn't that important.

Chay had to admit that he enjoyed not having to wait in the rain, and that the commute to university was much faster than if he had to take the bus, but that didn’t mean he doesn't take it once in a while. His favourite part was when Kinn drove him to school. Kinn, unlike his brother, was an early riser and was usually up around the same time Chay was and would offer to take him to school. On the rare occasion when Porsche was up, he would tag along or drive him on his bike.

He never thought that he would get along with Kinn but after living in the same house, they became very close. They even hung out without Porsche and even though he complained, he was actually very pleased. On Chay's first day of university, he ran into their bedroom (with his hand over his eyes just in case) and asked Kinn to help him with his tie.

Chay found it very amusing how Kinn was the one who wanted to take pictures of Chay for his first day, and even dropped him off with Porsche. But he was glad that Kinn included him in his life with his brother and didn't treat him as just someone who lived in his house and happened to be his boyfriend's brother.

Porsche laughed, "you practice on the weekends with Kinn, that's not enough for you to drive to university."

Chay pouted as he glared at his brother, who only laughed harder and patted his head. The student jumped when he felt someone put his arm around him, it was Kinn. "Don't worry Chay, after more practice, we'll happily let you drive by yourself."

Chay only huffed as he sat in the backseat whilst Porsche sat in the driver's seat and Kinn in the passenger's side. Chay waved at both men as he slid out of the car and walked to his first class.

--

Chay came back to the mansion exhausted. Originally, he was supposed to get picked up by one of the guards, but he had to work last minute on a project and had to cancel the drive home. Chay being Chay felt bad, of course, to call the driver back later in the day so he decided to take the bus home. He realised that it wasn't the best idea once he noticed that the bus stop was a long walk from the mansion. Regardless, he walked and couldn't wait to jump on his bed.

On his walk to his room, he bumped into someone, causing him to fall off balance. Hands latched onto his waist to make sure that he didn't fall down.

"Oh thank you, Khun," Chay said, then he froze when he realised who caught him.

You should've just let me fall.

"Oh sawadee krap, P'Kim," Chay immediately moved away from his grasp. Kim didn't say anything but nod to acknowledge Chay. It was very awkward, so Chay politely bowed and moved around him to get to his room as fast as he could.

Kim looked back at Chay, smiling when he saw how fast the student was walking. The smile faded when he realised that this was the first time he saw the other in months. He was already done with high school and on his way through his first semester of university. He didn't know anything that was happening in his life: how his classes were going, if he made friends, if he enjoyed living in the mansion. But he couldn't do that, he had no right to do that, after how he treated Chay.

Why else would I tutor you?

His chest hurt when he remembered the cold words that he said to Chay. Remembering how Chay asked him if he ever loved him, and how hard he had to suck in a breath to stop himself from grabbing him and telling him that, yes he did love him. But he didn't do that. No, instead he roughly pulled his hand away and carelessly said "sorry" before walking away, leaving him outside alone crying on the street. Those cries would haunt him forever.

He took a deep breath and went to meet with his brothers. Tankhun had been bothering him to spend time with them. He also heard that Kinn had announced his relationship with Porsche, which was probably why Chay was also staying at the mansion. He had never met Porsche except for the brief time Porsche told him to get Chay and leave. Kim assumed that Porsche didn't know that that was him, just some other guard.

"Kim!" his eldest brother screeched making Kim wince, he would never seem to get used to his loud voice.

He allowed Tankhun to embrace him as he looked over Kinn and Porsche sitting next to each other on the couch. Kim took a seat next to Tankhun and nodded his head in greeting to Kinn. "You're Porsche," he raised his eyebrows in question as he laid back against the seat and sipped on the glass of wine provided for him.

Porsche raised his eyebrows in shock, clearly not expecting to be greeted like that. He forced a small smile, "Yes, Khun Kim." In reality, all he wanted to do was throw his whiskey (with the glass) at his face. How did his brother fall for this jerk, he would never know.

Tankhun made conversation with Kim, asking him about his songs, his life, if he was trying to find anything out. The entire time, Kim was glancing at Porsche and reading into how tense he looked, how constantly he was clenching his fist only for Kinn to put his hand on top of it to completely relax him. Clearly, Porsche was not comfortable around him, and Kim was wondering why. Was he hiding something?

Tankhun excused himself with his guards following after him, leaving the new couple alone with Porsche. It was quiet without Tankhun carrying the conversation, which left Kim to ask, "what is exactly your problem?" to Porsche.

Obviously, Porsche didn't handle the question lightly, rage showing on face and body. "My problem?" he spat, not caring for Kinn trying his best to calm him down, "The real question is, what's your problem? Do you really have nothing better to do than to use my brother as a tool in your scheme?"

Kim tipped his head in acknowledgement. Ah, so that's what it was.

Of course Chay would tell Porsche what happened, and he wasn't even mad about it because he knew how close they were. At the end of the day, Kim approached Chay to ensure the protection of his own family, so he wasn't angry at Porsche for wanting the same for Chay. However, no one had to know that but himself. So he put together that careless act as he stared at the older man.

He shrugged, "Sorry it got too out of hand, I guess."

Porsche stood up at that and made his way to Kim, pulling him up by his collar. Kinn yelled his name, trying to pull him away but Porsche wasn't giving up. "You are so lucky that you are Kinn's brother and that you were important to my brother, otherwise I would have no problems killing you right now," he ground out, letting go of Kim. He sighed, glaring at him one last time. "Stay away from Porschay." And with that, he stormed out of the room, leaving him and Kinn left.

His brother looked helplessly in Porsche's direction, "you're an idiot Kim," before going to find his boyfriend.

Kim sighed, downed the remaining wine and went to leave to go back to his apartment. He hated staying at the mansion. That's all he could think of as he made his way to the garage. Kim halted as he saw Chay sitting outside with his laptop placed next to him and writing in his notebook. It was a nice day out and only mid-afternoon, so he supposed that Chay, being a stellar student, was studying. Kim took in Chay's appearance, he had changed out of his uniform and dressed in sweatpants and a long-sleeved shirt. His hair was a mess on his head, but it made him all the more soft and so young.

He observed Chay: how he was working in the quiet air, sitting so calmly, so gently. And how it was different to when he was around Kim: how lively and bubbly he was. He recalled their first tutoring session at the university where Kim revealed his real name to Chay, saying that Wik was just a part of him.

I like all of them...

He remembered the breathless laugh Chay let out when he realised what he said and tried to correct himself. How he said that he liked every part of Kim.

He closed his eyes; Chay didn't seem to care that he was a part of a very important mafia family business. He seemed more interested in being lied to. Why? Because he liked all parts of Kim. Seeing Chay in his calm environment, Kim yearned to be with him like this, in the way he never got to. Chay liked all parts of Kim, but Kim never got to experience all parts of Chay, because he was always running away.

Because it was better to have Chay safe than to be in more danger.

---

Kim was over this.

He was not an early sleeper by any means, but he was so bored that Kinn had to kick him four times because he kept dozing off. He couldn't understand why his father commanded all three sons and Porsche to accompany him to a meeting with a business mogul. This specific mogul was named Mongkut Adulyadej, and his family owned a few well-known businesses in Thailand as well as in other parts of East and Southeast Asia. He was the heir of their company, and he was meeting them in place of his father. They were meeting to speak about distributing their company's wines and other alcohols in the Theerapanyakun's clubs, casinos, and hotels.

Kim had no idea why he, of all people, was dragged into this. He thought it had something to do with the fact that the meeting was taking place outside of the mansion and at one of their clubs, which was an odd place to have a business meeting.

Looking at the young man in front of him, Kim knew that his father wasn't going to go through with the deal. Not only were they asking for too much money, they also had a reputation, which meant that his family was not going to risk their name by mixing with them.

Kim confronted his father before the meeting, asking him why they were meeting with them when he knew that the Adulyadej's business was known for sexually assaulting their employees. Why would they risk their name working with people with low class like them? His father merely smiled at him and patted his shoulder. "They offered to hold the meeting in one of our popular clubs, he knows better than to start a fight he knows he can't win."

So Kim was sitting in a round booth, bored out of his mind, whilst his father said no to another offer. Adulyadej was getting desperate and it was getting embarrassing to watch. Entertaining but embarrassing nonetheless.

He looked at how red Adulyadej was turning, clearly not good at keeping his anger in. He took a deep breath and nodded at his guard, making him leave the room. Kim looked down at the ground floor through the glass wall, watching the people dancing and drinking, oblivious to what the owners were up to.

"Now, Khun Korn," Adulyadej began. "I see that you are not interested in selling our alcohol in your distributions. You have to understand where I am coming from, as a business owner." He looked at Korn calculatedly, as if he was waiting for something to happen. "I only want the best for my business and working with your company would only open more doors for us. If you aren't willing to give me your money then maybe you can give me something else."

Kinn, Kim, Tankhun, and Porsche sat up straighter at his last sentence. Suddenly everyone looked on guard and Korn looked intrigued. Adulyadej smirked at everyone's reactions as he nodded at one of his men to open the door.

That made Kim twitch, who was this man to give orders in his club?

Suddenly the black tinted glass doors opened, and Kim instinctively reached for the gun strapped at his side.

Opening the door revealed a bunch of men with their guns raised and in the front and centre was Porschay with a gun to the back of his head. His eyes were wide, making them bigger than they already were. They were bloodshot due to him crying and his university shirt had patches of dirt on them. These people probably took him whilst he was at university.

Kim clenched his fists whilst Porsche caught his breath next to him. Kinn was tense whilst Tankhun looked around in worry. Adulyadej, on the other hand, beamed with happiness as his eyes laid on Chay. He happily made his way towards him, lightly trailing his fingers over the side of his face, causing Chay to move away.

"Chay!" Porsche shouted when his brother got backhanded across his face for his actions.

"It hurts me to mess up a pretty face like this," Adulyadej mockingly pouted. "I got to say, Khun Korn, I was surprised when I saw that you kept a beauty under your security. No wonder you kept him hidden, beauty like this deserves to be worshipped."

Korn masked the disgust he felt at the sight in front of him. "What is this Khun Mongkut? Cut the act and answer the question."

Suddenly Adulyadej's professional mask broke and in its place was a sneer, hatred. "You won't give me what I want? That's fine but give me him and there won't be any problems."

"Chay!" Porsche yelled, standing up. He was tired of sitting around. He was going to get his brother even if it meant shooting someone.

"Hia!" Chay cried as he was pulled closer to the mogul.

"Ah yes," he smiled as he looked at Porsche, eyes sparkling. "I can see that beauty runs in the family. I don't mess around with taken men," his eyes ran over Kinn's hand tightly gripping Porsche's waist. He held Chay's face in his hands as he looked at him, blood running down his nose, which was starting to slightly swell.

"You're not taken, are you?" he asked in a gentle voice leaning closer to trail his lips over Chay's neck, sucking on the spot right underneath his ear. The younger man hissed as he tried to move away from him.

Kim slammed his hands on the table, causing everyone to look at him in shock. He was looking at them though, no, he was staring at the disgusting sight in front of him. He clenched his hands on the edge of the table, breathing harshly as he watched the degenerate assault the man he loved.

"You touch him, and I will kill you!" Kim roared, pulling out his gun. That wasn't a smart move because once Kim pulled out his gun, everyone else did as well. Kim didn't care as he rang the first shot, at the man standing right next to Adulyadej. He looked shocked as he separated himself from Chay. As soon as that happened, shots began to run through the room. It was a miracle that sound-proof walls and tinted windows existed because everyone downstairs was living their best life.

The most important thing was to get his father out of there, Kim knew that, so he was grateful that Chan got him out. Kim's only focus was Chay, who looked very lost and scared at what was happening around him. This was the first time he was awake during a kidnapping.

His eyes were only on Chay as he made his way to him, but that all stopped when a loud gunshot rang throughout the room. Everything seemed to stop, white noise running through the air. All Kim could see was Chay, looking straight at him with wide eyes, bringing his hand from his lower abdomen, seeing his fingertips drenched with blood.

"Chay!" Porsche shouted, in Kim's ears it came out slurred, watching as his brother got shot. It felt like everything was happening in slow motion as Chay fell onto his knees. At this point, the room seemed to be mostly empty. Tankhun was taken out of the club by his bodyguards, and Adulyadej was taken to the Theerapanyakun’s cells to be dealt with later. Right now their only focus was getting Chay back to safety so he could get treated.

It was as if Kim's legs were moving on autopilot, crouching down next to Chay, and allowing him to lean on him. "Chay? Chay! Are you okay? Everything's going to be fine, I promise," Porsche cooed whilst he tried to get his brother to calm down.

"Hia, they-they came to my university a-and t-they-" his breathing got heavy as he started to panic.

"Hey Chay, it's okay, you're safe now. We're going to take you to the medical wing and they're going to fix you right up," Kim interrupted him in an attempt to soothe him. Porsche offered to carry him, but Kim couldn't find it in himself to let Chay go. He needed this, he needed to hold him.

Porsche didn't look impressed but helped Kim gently pick Chay up and gather him in his arms. All three men looked in alarm at the large puddle of blood on the ground but didn't say anything so they wouldn't worry Chay even more. It was a silent rush as they made their way out through the emergency exit, only Chay's sniffles breaking the silence. "Mmm," he groaned, "it hurts."

Kim tensed as he felt the younger man's breath against his neck, making him feel warm all over. Yet he could feel his heart race in alarm knowing that Chay was in pain. They needed to get out of here now.

Porsche sat in the passenger seat, knowing that he wasn't in the condition to drive, Kinn in the driver's seat and Kim and Chay in the back. Kim lowered the back seats all the way down so Chay could lie down. He quickly took his jacket off to put pressure on the wound, making Chay cry out. "I know, I know it hurts," he gently murmured, "but it should stop the bleeding for now."

Chay faintly smiled, "I do have a lot of blood, don't I?" he attempted to laugh but ended up coughing and wincing.

"Hia, I'm sorry," Chay broke the silence again, causing Porsche to frown and turn around. At the same time, Kinn was cursing under his breath due to the amount of traffic ahead of them.

"Why are you sorry, Chay? You didn't do anything," Porsche furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"Hia, I'm sorry for being a burden," he croaked out, heavily breathing. "You sacrificed a lot to take care of me and I'm sorry for taking away your happiness and your chance at a real childhood."

Kim felt like a knife stabbed him in the chest hearing Chay's words, causing him to press his jacket into the wound harder. There was no way Chay was leaving him.

"You listen here, Chay," Porsche choked out, tears brimming his eyes, "you are not a burden, don't ever say that again. You are the reason that I am alive, you hear me? If I didn't have you, I would have wasted away my life but you gave me one. You are the most important person in my entire life, okay?"

Chay blinked slowly at him. "Promise me that you will be happy and live how you should have. I want you to be happy."

"Chay, stop talking like that," Porsche yelled. "We're going to get you back to the mansion and you will be fine. Why aren't we moving any faster, damn it!" He slammed his hands on the dashboard.

"Promise me, hia!" Chay yelled and cried out right after.

"I promise," Porsche reached to clasp his ankle, yearning to hold his brother.

"P'Kinn, you need to take care of my brother. Make sure he cleans up after himself because he sucks at that." The two men in the front laughed and Porsche could see Kinn swallowing hard and nodding although Chay couldn't see him.

"I," Kinn cleared his throat, "I promise Chay."

"P'Kim." Kim looked down to Chay's wide doe-eyes, which were getting smaller as fatigue was starting to hit him.

"P'Kim, I love you."

It had been months since Chay told him those three words and Kim never knew he needed to hear it again until now. His body ached in pain, he was holding back from Chay because he was trying his best to protect him, but now he knew that he needed to be with him in order for that to happen.

Tears leaked out whilst looking at him. "I love you too, Chay."

The younger man shook his head, "you don't have to say it because I'm dying."

"You're not dying," all three men said at the same time.

Kim swallowed the painful lump in his throat. He needed Chay to know how he felt. "I'm not just saying it, I love you, I've loved you since the day I came over to your house. I will always love you, there is not a day that goes by when I don't love you."

"I'm sorry," he started to sob, his cool facade crashing, as he looked at the man he loved. "I'm sorry that I lied to you and made you feel like I didn't l love you. I was trying my best to protect you, but I was wrong. And when you get better, I will tell you that I love you so many times that you'll get sick of it."

Chay smiled, Kim could tell that he was forcing it by the strain in his cheeks. "I look forward to it."

"I feel tired," he breathed out, sluggishly blinking up at Kim, who shook his head. It took all of Chay's strength to lift his hand to wipe away his tears, leaving smudged blood on his cheek.

"Don't cry, P'Kim," Chay croaked out. He was fighting so hard to close his eyes. "You're my luck," he slurred out.

Kim managed a small smile, "No, angel, that was you all along."

He gently looked at Chay, how hard he was fighting to stay awake. "It's okay, you can close your eyes," Kim said as they finally made it to the house. "When you wake up, we'll be right here, okay?"

Chay hummed, "I love you," he said before finally resting his eyes.

The car doors opened and they were met with a gurney and nurses. "I love you too," Kim murmured as picked Chay up and onto the gurney, rushing to the medical wing.

---

When Chay woke up, he was greeted with Kim and Porsche sleeping on either side of him, and Kinn and Tankhun laying down on the couches. Chay felt quite groggy and a little bit sore. He was sure that the medication didn't quite wear off yet. He groaned, trying his best to stretch without hurting himself, which caused the two men next to him to wake up. Kim was close to him in a second, which caused him to smile. He looked at Chay like he was the most precious being he had ever laid eyes on and Chay supposed that he was, if he had to go by Kim's confession in the car.

"How are you feeling?" Porsche whispered, careful not to wake up the two brothers.

"Tired," Chay croaked, making Kim pull out a bottle of water for him. He gently clasped the back of Chay's neck to guide him in drinking as much water as he needed.

They were interrupted by the doctor's usual check, resulting in Kinn and Tankhun waking up.

"So Mr. Kittisawat, we were able to take the bullet out, thankfully it didn't hit any major organs but there will be some scarring. You did lose quite a bit of blood due to the wound but no worries, we were able to do a blood transfusion. As of right now, everything looks fine but we would like to keep you here for a few days to monitor your progress, see how the wound is healing and blood count." He left with a professional smile.

Chay let out a relieved breath at the news that he was doing just fine. He was then attacked by Tankhun fussing over him and placing one of his many fluffy jackets over him. He smiled, the people he cared about were right next to him.

Soon the three of them left to get some food, leaving Kim and Chay alone in the room. They hadn't spoken since their conversation in the car, but Chay could tell that Kim had changed. He usually had an emotionless mask that broke only when Chay was around, yet it seemed like now it was permanently broken. Whenever Chay would look at him, he could see the love he had for Chay, right smack on his face.

"Aren't you going to lay down with me?" he asked and Kim looked up from his phone, not expecting Chay to talk to him.

"Are you sure?" he seemed uncertain, very unlike how he was. Chay hated it.

"Yes, I am sure. You’re acting as if we never slept in a bed together," he made himself blush just thinking about that night. Kim smirked, as if he knew exactly what he was thinking about.

Kim went on the other side of the bed and climbed in next to him, pulling Chay gently so they were facing each other. Kim lifted his hand to Chay's cheek and rubbed the soft skin. He couldn't believe that he was this close to Chay again.

"I'm sorry," he apologised again. He seemed that he would never be able to apologise enough.

Chay pouted whilst shaking his head, causing his mop of curls to fly all over the place. "Stop it. You're right, you need to apologise, but not right now. We can talk about this later and we will. For now, I just want to get better, recover and spend my time with you."

Kim nodded, "whatever you want angel." Chay was right, he should first focus on recovering and then they can talk about all of this when he is out of the hospital wing.

Chay beamed at him as he shuffled closer to Kim and pursed his lips obnoxiously. Kim laughed under his breath and leaned in to softly press his lips to Chay's. He sighed as Chay pushed himself closer to Kim. It was clumsy since it was most likely Chay's first kiss ever but this was the best kiss Kim's ever had, if he was being honest, because it was with Porschay.

Kim noticed how shy Chay got once they pulled away, cheeks flaming red and pushing his head into Kim's neck to hide himself. The older man laughed softly, gently caressing his hair.

"P'Kim, can we watch something on your phone?"

He looked down to see Chay's big doe eyes. He smiled and laughed airily, tightening his grasp without hurting him. "Of course, whatever you want, angel."

---

"P'Kim!" was yelled through the courtyard of the university. Kim looked up from his phone to see his boyfriend bouncing his way towards him, a huge smile on his face. Kim couldn't help his own smile making its way on his face. There was a crowd surrounding Kim's fancy car, which was the usual. It made Chay uncomfortable, but Kim made sure that no one bothered him, so he tolerated the stares they received.

Kim got up from where he was sitting on the hood of his car and caught Chay in a hug, nuzzling his face in his neck. "Mmm, I missed you," he murmured.

Chay softly smiled at him. "I missed you too."

Kim opened the passenger door for him and once he got in and buckled up his seatbelt, he made his way to his side. "Are you sure you don't want to drive?"

Chay shook his head, "Nope. I drove this morning so that's enough for me." He nodded and closed his eyes. He was very lucky that during the second semester, he didn't have any Friday classes, so he was able to relax a little longer. Normally he would try to finish all of his work early, but Kim told him that he had a date planned, so it would have to wait for tomorrow.

As they exited the car, Kim held Chay's hand and led him to his own room. Kim started to spend more time in the mansion since Chay was there, unofficially moving back in. Things were still new, and Kim was still working on getting Chay to trust him fully. He would make sure that Chay trusted him 100% before asking him to move in with him.

They made their way into Kim's room and Chay's mouth dropped in shock as he took in the layout before him. The doors that opened out to the terrace were opened and in the middle was a picnic blanket with two bean bag chairs. Spread out on the blanket was a small picnic table with their favourite foods, snacks and drinks. "I wanted you to relax after a long day of university, so I hope you like it," Kim whispered, wrapping his arms around Chay's waist, rocking them side to side.

"I love it P'Kim, thank you," Chay smiled and kissed him on the cheek. Kim made his way to the set up as Chay changed into Kim's old clothes. He came back and they started eating. Kim smiled as he saw Chay eating contentedly, soft cheeks puffed out.

They spoke about each other's day and simply enjoyed each other's presence. Once they were done, Kim told one of the guards outside to call someone to take away the food and blankets.

"We are not done yet," Kim said as he snatched Chay in his arms as he was about to climb into bed. "Today we are celebrating."

Chay looked at him confused, "celebrating what?"

"I was told that someone has been finally allowed to swim due to their wound being fully healed." He laughed when he saw Chay's beautiful smile.

"Yes yes yes! Can we go swimming now?" Chay asked, practically bouncing as he held Kim's hands. Kim let go of his hands and cupped his face.

"Yes, of course we can, let's go," he kissed his forehead and led him to the walk-in closet to pick out swim trunks.

He couldn't help but laugh at how adorable Chay looked to finally go into the pool. He practically ran out of the bedroom to the terrace where the pool was. Kim never really cared about having his own pool but for Chay, he would go swimming every day.

"Be careful," he instructed as he guided Chay carefully into the pool, holding both of his hands.

His boyfriend pouted, "P'Kim," he complained, "I know how to swim. I'm not going to drown, it's not even deep."

Kim huffed, "I know I know, but I just don't want you to get hurt."

Chay smiled. "Of course not, I have you, don't I?"

Kim looked at him under his eyelashes, softly smiling. He took in Chay's beautiful face: his eyes, his smile, his everything. And he has never been more thankful to have this, to have him, in his life.

He nodded, wrapping his arms around Chay and hugging him close to his chest. They stayed like that whilst the water danced around their torsos.

"Thank you for giving me another chance," he kissed him softly.

Chay smiled his beautiful big smile when they pulled back. "I'm thankful I did too."
