Work Text:
The only sounds in the room were the soft music playing from your record player, and the scribbles of your pencil on paper. You were racking your brain for answers to your math homework, while Eddie was leaning against the bedpost, deeply engrossed in a thick fantasy novel. You lay back on the bed, sick of the numbers that didn’t make any sense.
Suddenly, a song popped up in your mind. You raced to play it, carefully placing the record on the disk. When the music flowed through the speakers, Eddie looked up, narrowing his eyes, silently judging your choice of music. “Wanna dance?, you asked, barely being able to contain your laughter. “No way”, he said, smacking your hand away. “Pretty please”. You jut out your bottom lip, making puppy eyes at him. He groaned, being unable to resist when you looked at him like that.
“Fine”, he mumbled. You giggled, pulling him up. You danced clumsily in the middle of your room, holding his hands in yours. The two of laughed while you danced, spinning in giddy circles, taking turns to spin each other around. You brought your forehead to his, panting softly.
“What did I do to deserve you?”, he asked, shaking his head. “You deserve the world”, you replied, before pressing a kiss to his forehead, and his nose, and many on his cheeks, and some on his eyelids, and finally you reached his lips. He chuckled, pulling you into an exhausted pile on the bed. You clung to him, pressing your face into the crook of his neck. You stayed like that for a while, which led to a soft, whispered conversation, and eventually you ended up asleep, tucked into his arms.
