At the Lu$h Crew yacht, there was a big party happening. The night sky full of stars gave a magical atmosphere at the said party, almost all the dance crew were invited, the redhead leader of the Lu$h, Miss Aubrey did not invite the twins of The Glitterati crew because of their constant rivalry between them, even though they would not go there anyway.
The party was going well, the music blasted through the speakers and the parquet was crowded, the crews like Riptide, Flash4wrd, Hi-Def and D-Coy showed off their moves, applauding and cheering, meanwhile the DCI crew stood next to the bar, having drinks and talking. The other Lu$h Crew member, Angel sat on one of the sun loungers, observing the guests enjoying the party, nothing went wrong as he thought, suddenly Miss Aubrey shooed the crowd, giving her some space for dancing, she didn’t want to be disturbed while dancing, it was one of the rules she made herself since she started her dance journey as a teenager. Her dance style was elegant, calm and ballerina-like, she gently moved her hands to the rhythm of the music, she exactly knew how to dance, the crowd was astonished by her movements and they started cheering at her, Aubrey felt more confident as she heard the cheers, she decided to continue. Angel was impressed by Aubrey’s dance, his eyes were on her since she stepped in the middle of the crowd, he could just watch her for hours and still be amazed. As the song ended, Aubrey stayed in her final dance pose and everyone was clapping, Angel joined as he stood up from the sun lounger. Aubrey bowed down like a princess and thanked the crowd, the next song blasted through the speakers and she walked away from the dancefloor and stood next to her crew partner, Angel.
“Your dance was spectacular, Aubrey.” – Angel complimented her, grinning cheerfully.
“Yeah, I know, thank you.” – Aubrey replied coldly, crossing her arms over her chest.
The relationship between Angel and Miss Aubrey was very complicated, Angel as always would compliment her and even try to flirt with her, Aubrey in response would shrug it off and even walk away, she doesn’t like showing affection in public because she’s mainly worried about her reputation, she always wanted to be in attention, but not in that kind of attention, yes she might be sassy, bratty, greedy and so on, people thought of her as rude, but deep down she is very kind, sweet, cheerful and most importantly honest, she doesn’t like liars, if she will say something that might sound brutal, it doesn’t mean she’s heartless, she’s just giving her honest opinion and yet not everyone understood her point of view, that’s why not many people liked her. She knew Angel for a very long time, they are good friends apparently, but he is willing to become more than that, but she refuses, as she peeked on him flirting with other girls from time to time, Angel stated many times it’s not like that and he would never come up to another girl because he loved her more than anyone else. Aubrey can agree he has confessed his feelings, but she didn’t fall for him immediately, normally a guy would just give up, but Angel didn’t. He still wanted Aubrey to be his girlfriend, there were times when he gave flowers on her birthday or even invited her somewhere to spend time together. She enjoys Angel’s company, but yet she doesn’t want things to happen so fast, he respectfully gave her time, yet he’s making sure that no other guy can take her away from him, this is what he is afraid of the most, that he will lose the girl of his dreams.
As the party slowly came to an end, the guests thanked Lu$h for inviting them and they left. The deck was really untidy, Aubrey called the staff via her phone to come here and clean up this mess.
“People are going to clean up, so everything should be good till the morning.” – Aubrey informed Angel after she hung up. He nodded in response.
They left the yacht and went straight to the parking lot, Angel being a gentleman opened the car door for Aubrey, she sat on her seat and waited for Angel to get inside of the car. He started the engine and drove her home.
For the whole ride, the silence reigned, Aubrey stared at her window, contemplating. Angel was focused on the road, it was dark and he wanted her to come back home safely. Unfortunately, it started to rain, Aubrey got mad that she hadn’t her umbrella and she was worried about her hair would be wet.
As they reached her house, Angel found the umbrella in the backseat and handed it to Aubrey. She felt relieved when she held it. Angel got out of the car to open the door for her, she kindly thanked him, informing he didn’t have to. They reached the door of her house, Angel held the umbrella while Aubrey searched for her keys, as she found them, she almost reached the doorknob, but Angel caught her attention as he said her name, she faced him, staring at him annoyingly.
“I just wanted to say… I had a great time at the party and I was very happy to meet you again and it’s been so long, so thank you.” – Angel gazed at her in love, his heart was beating faster when their eyes met each other.
Aubrey slightly smiled.
“You’re welcome, Angel.” – she responded.
They stood like that for a minute, until Angel leaned over her, giving a gentle kiss on her cheek, Aubrey stood frozen, paralyzed by what just happened.
“I love you, Aubrey.” – Angel caressed her cheek and Aubrey shook her head in panic as she pulled away from him.
“Goodnight, Angel.” – she quickly entered her house and locked the door.
Her breath raged, she couldn’t believe Angel just kissed her and touched her. Aubrey couldn’t control her emotions, she got lost, she didn’t know what to say, but she felt guilty that she closed the door right in front of him.
Angel stood in front of the door, holding the umbrella, he felt sad and confused. When Aubrey smiled at him, he thought maybe he has a chance, but it turned out completely wrong, he didn’t want to scare her, he just wanted to confess his love to her, but he was heartbroken that he got rejected again. Angel wished he could explain and apologize, but probably Aubrey might be asleep already, so he went back to his car, with a sad face he drove home.
