Logico was an unexpected guest to arrive at Irratino's on Sunday, completely uninvited-so unexpected that Irratino went for his Marot.
Logico's magnificent eyebrows furrowed. "That will be quite enough of that," he reproved, snatching the next card Irratino went to draw out of his hands and placing it on Irratino's coffee table on top of a book about improving one's spiritual network connection.
"That was rather unnecessary," Irratino said, examining the card he had drawn-the wine bottle, signifying motherhood, promises, and loving well. Lucky indeed, he thought. "This is quite the surprise even to me, Deductive. I thought this had been a quiet week-not even one murder!"
"It was indeed," said Logico with a firm nod. "Nevertheless, I prefer to consider the events thoroughly-and as a pattern has shown itself, I wanted to personally make sure." Deductive Logico cleared his throat, averting his gaze as a certain amount of blood went to his stern cheeks in what could be termed a 'blush' on one with less active little grey cells. "It is true there were no criminals this week who might have attacked you...but nevertheless, I wished to make sure of the safety of my dear rival."
