06.16 AM, Teyvat Far-east region.
Hu Tao slowly woke up by Rays of sunlight shining through the curtain. ‘Ah, it’s morning already’ she thought. She still feels exhausted from previous mission tasked to her, her back still hurts just a bit. Carrying ammunitions as a support squad she volunteers assigned for was a bad idea after all. She slowly gets up from her bed, and walked to bathroom. Rubbed her eyes as she got to the sink and washed her face. She let out an exhausted sigh. After that, she went back to a small table beside her bed, picking her phone up. Hu Tao looked into her notes.
‘4 more days until next operation starts eh… *Scrolls down her phone* Hmm…. Nothing to do today, I guess I’m free then.’
Hu Tao walked downstairs into the kitchen, and look into shelfs. half annoyed when there’s no other food choice than bread. ‘Tch… toasted bread it is then.’ as she starts to prepare the light breakfast, she could feel arms wrap around her from behind, tight yet gentle hug. She carefully drops the Knife. “K-kazuha? what are you doing? My back still a bit hurt, Y’know…” She whispers. Ah, right. He forgot about that. Kazuha releases his hold on her. Hu Tao then faced him, she tried to open her mouth again to speak until her lips were sealed with Kazuha’s thumb. Shushing her before his hand moved to caress her cheek.
Hu Tao haven’t seen him for 8 months. He’s recently got back from his training at sea. She missed this, melted to his touch. Loving the feeling of his hand on her again.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t contact you at all.”
“mhmm… it’s okay. the more important thing is you’re here with me now.” She whispered.
He smiled fondly and caressed her cheek again, Hu Tao melted instantly to his touch. Closing the gap between, hugging her again. She could feel his warm body, his heartbeat. Kazuha rested his chin on her shoulder. Oh, how she missed him so much. A free hand runs through her hair, gently brushing it with his finger.
“Happy Birthday, love.” He released his hold on her, His red eyes lovingly staring at her crimson ones.
She returned a smile. She grabbed his chin pulled him into a kiss which he happily melts into. It took them few seconds before they both parted their lips.
God, she loved him so much.
