Rob (Ronance)

Summary:

Robin Buckley never saw herself as a people-person, but here she is with all these friends. She never expected to develop feelings for one of them so she would just have to push them down. For now at least.

Notes:

Hi! I've never written a fan fiction before and this is purely for fun! I'm open to suggests of what you think should happen or what I should change! I'm definitely not a good writer but I love ronance and so it's exciting that I get to share this! Thank you for reading~

Chapter 1: bottled emotions

Chapter Text

____________________________________________________________________
Robin never really had many real friends. Friends seemed to come and go like waves of the ocean, not that Robin even liked the ocean in the first place..’But ever since she met Steve “the hair” Harrington, things changed.

Steve was the only person Robin ever came out to, and even if it was while she was drugged by the Russians, it was totally worth it. Robin had a certain specific trust with Steve that she couldn’t quite put into words. She loved Steve, in the most platonic way possible.

Ever since Robin started hanging out with him, her whole life changed. She started fighting monsters from other dimensions, and cracking Russian codes, but perhaps the best of all; she had friends.

After defeating Vecna, everyone was a little more than shaken up. They all decided that they needed a day of normalcy. Steve and Robin picked out a movie from the video store they worked at. Dustin would bring lots of snacks; popcorn, candy bars, soda… it would be perfect. The get-together would be held in the Wheelers basement, which was a perfect place for hosting so many people.

The Wheelers. Robin knew about Nancy from school, she knew that she was a priss, to be specific. Robin never thought she would talk to Nancy, nonetheless become friends. However, Robin and Nancy had gotten closer and closer throughout their days of saving the world (again). Robin still remembers the day they defeated Vecna/ Henry/ One. Steve, Nancy, and her were going into Victor Creel’s house in the upside down. The floor was crawling with vines that squirmed every which way. Knowing herself for being a clumsy person, Robin didn’t think she could make it over the tentacle-like vines without disturbing the hive mind. She felt the anxiety rush over her and without thinking she grabbed Nancy’s hand for reassurance. But instead of pulling away, instead of giving her a disgusted look, Nancy looked Robin in the eyes, squeezed her hand, and said:

“you can do it”. Robin felt even more in awe of Nancy ever since that day… even more than she felt about Vickie, or anyone else. Nancy could never like her back. Not the straight, uptight Nancy she knew. Robin had no choice but to push these feelings down, but the sleepover had other plans for her. ____________________________________________________________________
