Day 30 - Idol/Celebrity

Sasuke was starting to think that his brilliant idea wasn't that brilliant after all. (CharaSaku)

Work Text:

Sasuke is starting to think his brilliant plan wasn't so brilliant after all.

It was fortunate enough that he had gotten a ticket for her Malaysian event, after standing in line for nine hours. He’s not actually sure if that was worth it. He could have gotten a ticket easily with his connections but he just had to rationalize and convince himself that he should give at least the effort all her other fans give.

After all, he pride himself for being her number one fan.

But now he’s here waiting for the autograph session to start, if it will really start. He woke up very early because as to what he knows, most fans wake up very early for these events. Some even stay overnight so they could save a spot. He didn't think he have to do that this time, so he opted for just being early, assuming that though there might be people ahead of him, he still wouldn't have been too far in the back.

He should have expected it was true. When he arrived at the venue, there were already so many people there. He really had started at the far back.

She really has so many fans, and deservingly so. Though it made everything more difficult for him, it also made him feel proud.

She wasn’t Japan’s National Sweetheart for nothing.

There was a line, and maybe there were around a hundred and twenty people ahead of him. He waited for another two hours before the line started moving. There were even more people and the security started tightening up. He knew they had to be careful since the event is in another country; and you wouldn't really be able to predict what would happen as accurate as you would in your own country.

But it was still a little surprising to him because from what he knew, this is an impromptu event. Something Sakura’s management agreed to because of overwhelming public demand. And of course, Haruno Sakura wouldn't want to let her fans down. That's how she is. That's why she's forever his… well, main oshi.

Sasuke was next to the stage after maybe another hour. And after some brief comments from the organizer (which he couldn't understand since it is said in Malay), her newest single started playing and she came out from behind the stage with her usual big smile.

Sasuke gripped the paper he had been holding the whole time since arriving there, feeling nervous all of a sudden. He had wanted to do this for months now, but he just didn't have a chance. When he found out she would be having a photoshoot here in Malaysia and then the impromptu autograph session, he thought it would be a good chance.

But he wasn’t so sure anymore.

‘Calm down. I need to calm down. I just need her to sign. She wouldn't refuse, would she?’

He wasn’t really sure but he'll just have to wing it. He’s already here. And he waited for God knows how long for this day, he just has to get it over with.

He felt warm now, to his annoyance. His get up is getting to him. It's a lot warmer there than in Japan. He realized that maybe wearing a cap, a face mask and jacket to hide his identity was too much. Everyone only has eyes for her, anyway.

When he was close enough and he could finally see her, he started feeling a little dizzy out of nerves.

He realized that security is really heavy. There was a security by the line, security on the stage and one behind Sakura. And there was another one standing behind the person taking her autograph, so he can pull the person away when the time is up.

He realized he has to do this very very quickly.

He hadn't really made a definitive plan when it was already his turn. There was no turning back.

‘It's now or never.’

Ignoring her greeting unlike the other fans before him, he just shoves the paper in front of her. She looked shocked and the security was glaring at Sasuke, but he ignored it and pointed at the paper.

When Sakura looked down, Sasuke pulled of his face mask. He almost forgot to do that. Sakura's eyes widen when she realized what the paper was and she turned back to Sasuke looking a little scared for a second. But then she saw his face.

Sasuke could see from his peripheral view the security behind her started gesturing for me to move, but he didn't budge and only looked at Sakura.

And it came. She smiled, and then started laughing. She waved away the security and picked up her ballpen.

She looked at Sasuke first and rolled her eyes at me. Sasuke could see though that she's amuse. He felt lightheaded then. He knew her answer.

Grinning, she started signing the paper.

Sasuke didn't know what got into him. He might have gone crazy, but he started laughing. And she joined him after a while.

She gave him back the paper and then sighed exasperatedly.

"What the hell, Sasuke." She said with a laugh.

"It worked." Sasuke just said with a shrug. "So, we'll register as soon as we're home?" He asked.

That was the beauty of their marriage system in Japan. No need for any fuss, they just have to submit the registration, and they would be legally married.

It was convenient for celebrities like them.

"Yes." Sakura said, seemingly forgetting everything around them. "Honestly though, you almost gave me a heart attack. I thought some creep wanted to trick me into signing a marriage certificate. It turns out I'm right."

"I'm not a creep." Sasuke said half-serious, half-playful.

"You kinda are." She said, grinning mischievously.

"But you're still marrying me." He pointed out.

She smiled. "I guess I am."

Sasuke smirked and leaned down, but the security pulled him before he could kiss her to his utter annoyance.

‘We're practically married, damn it.’
