"W..where am I?" A soft voice questions no one. "Captain? Merlin? Ban.. anyone?" Silence "oh dear, I'm all alone. In some dark.. creepy, forest.. oh dear" suddenly something shuffles nearby "what was that? Don't hurt me please! Ahhh!!" A child pops out and points a weapon at the man's face "freeze!" He demands! "Ahhhhhh!!!" The man screams and passes out. The child looked over at the passed out man, he was neatly dressed, tall, slender, wore glasses and a mustache, clearly an adult man. But how could that be? Here in this neverland, no one can grow up.
Later, at Goldy Pond
The man wakes up, he looks around before noticing another man standing before him, missing his arm. "Hello, my name is Lucas" He says "who might you be?" "Oh, hello, I'm Escanor.. might you tell me where we are? I'm terribly lost" he states. "Yeah it'd appear so, you're lucky we found you before the demons did.. although here you're still not all that safe.. but I'm curious you're a grown man, what farm did you escape from, or perhaps are you from Lambda?" "Demons… oh, I'm from Britinnia, I'm afraid I have no idea what you mean by farms or by this..Lambda but I'm familiar with demons, where I'm from I'm in a group known as The Seven Deadly Sins, and we fight demons. But.. I'm afraid I'm quite useless against them."
Lucas looked at Escanor, then to the blonde haired girl next to him, both just shrugged in confusion, they had no idea what Escanor was blabbing on about. "Think he's lying?" The girl asks "I don't think so, Gillian, it's quite an elaborate lie. Perhaps if anything he's from Lambda and doesn't remember, they found have drugged him to the point of delusion." Lucas says. "I trust him" another voice says walking in the room. Lucas turns and sees Emma standing before him "Emma, what are you doing here?" Emma smiles "I was curious about our new friend here. What was his name? Esca..something?" Lucas let's out a laugh, "Escanor, meet Emma, Emma, Escanor" Escanor waves at her "it's good to meet you Emma" he smiles, Emma smiles back "you as well" Lucas cuts in "now, we need to discuss the plans for the next hunt, oh yeah. I should fill in our friend here first"
Lucas explains everything to Escanor, how kids are bred to be eaten, how demons rule this world, and that here, at Goldy Pond powerful demons come every 3 days to hunt, and kill the ones here. Lucas explained how they had a hunt yesterday, and how they suffered from it. He explained the demon's weakness, and told Escanor about the plan to save Goldy Pond.
"That's the gist of it. Of the demons coming, none are more dangerous than Leuvis.. he's the most powerful, and most deadly of all of them.." Escanor looks afraid, but determined "sounds scary, but we have a plan in place. I may not be much, but I'll help however I can" he states, his voice only slightly quivering. "Good, for now though we should get some sleep while we can, we have time to prep. But it won't do us good to stay awake all night."
The next morning, the Goldy Pond music plays. "What the…? The last hunt was yesterday?! It's too soon!" Everyone in Goldy Pond goes into a panic unsure what to do, they were expecting to have more time but this…this is abrupt, Lucas and the other kids gather around "Okay, the plan will have to be done today! It's earlier than anticipated. But that just means we're gonna be free earlier than we thought! Everyone get ready! Go to your stations, I'm gonna go get Escanor!" They all nodded and go about their way, Lucas heads up to Escanors room.. but is shocked at what he sees.. the man before him… it looks like Escanor, but he's.. taller… buff, and he's standing with more pride than before. "Lucas" He says, in a deeper voice than before "don't be afraid, I am in fact still Escanor..but this is my true self, when the sun rises I too rise. You need not worry about the demons anymore. My strength alone will be sufficient" he boasts. "Escanor what in the world.." this confirms it for Lucas, he HAS to be a Lambda product.. "Very well. Let's get you equipped!" "Good, I need only an axe" an.. axe? Lucas thought, "we have one for woodcutting. Is that good enough?" "Itll suffice" Escanor said.
Escanor runs off, axe in hand, it's no divine axe Rhitta, but that is back in Brittnia, far away he has to make due. He arrives at where Gillian and the others were to take care of Luce, to his surprise Luce is dead. "I see you all have taken care of this demon" Gillian and the others turn to face Escanor, ajd are taken aback by his new appearance. "E..Escanor??" Gillian gasps. Escanor smiles warmly at the children "yes, it's me. You children are bold, and brave to take on a demon such as this, however you need not worry anymore. Please, point me in the direction of where Nous and Numa are. I will take care of them" they point in the direction and Escanor is off immediately, he will not allow any of these innocent children to die at the hands of demons.
Sandy and Sonya are getting ready to lure Nous and Numa into a trap, when suddenly a large man with an axe appears and stands between the children, and demons. "You children have done enough.. far more than what children should ever have to do. Please, stand back. I'll destroy these two" he glares at the demons before him "this human wasn't here in yesterday's hunt, was he Nous?" "No.. no he wasn't Numa…no matter, he looks delicious.." "so big and strong… he's gonna be tasty, and he's all ours. "Quiet" the man mutters "you two, you are not going to he eating anyone, or anything ever again. Look around at this forest, and behold your final resting place. As you face me now, Escanor. The lion sin of pride."
The demons cackle and go into hysterics, as Numa walks towards Escanor still laughing "you Crack me up human!!" Escanor laughs heartily with them, before swiftly cutting the demon before him in half with one swing and suddenly the laughing stops, meanwhile Sandy and Sonya are in awe, speechless. "NUMA!!!" Nous cries out and lunges at Escanor full speed "ESCANOR WATCH OUT!" Sandy shouts and ready her gun, but it wasn't needed as Escanor grabs Numa by the face, stopping the demon instantly, Sandy and Sonya gasp. Just what is this man? "Children, would you be so kind as to confirm that their eye is the weak point?" The kids both nod, and with that Escanor crushes the mask without any trouble. The kids again are unsure how to process this! These masks are bullet proof!! And he just.. Escanor then punches Nous in the face, launching him back a mile.
Numa regenerates, and shouts "WHY YOU! YOURE STRONG… BUT WE ARE STRONGER THAN ANY HUMAN" "Oh really? Your friend there seems to disagree" as he points to Nous. Numa runs over to Nous in a panic, as he approaches he realizes that Nous is dead, his head was completely smashed in by Escanors punch "NO!!! NOUS… WHY YOU LITTLE INCOMPETENT HUMAN, ILL MAKE YOU PAY!!! ILL KILL YOU!! ILL KI-" before he can continue Escanor drives his axe dead center of his face, killing him instantly. "If this is one of the stronger demons of this land then the weaker ones should be ashamed, I barely touched him." He turns to the children "I ask you point to where I could find the next demon, this ends today" Sonya speaks up, "Youre.You're.. amazing, I'm so glad we have you on our side! Bayon is next, and we don't know where he is ``''I do" a voice says behind Escanor, Escanor turns around and before him stands none other than Lord Bayon.
"Might you be this Bayon?" Escanor asks? "Indeed I am human" "I see, then let me offer you my thanks, for saving me the trouble of hunting down your worthless self" Bayon grunts, "you've got some mouth! But you disposed of Numa and Nous with ease, Escanor right? Well, you face LORD Bayon now! And I am far stronger than these other whelps ``''Good" Escanor said "then this might finally be a challenge. Your move first" he says. "Heh, how FOOLISH!! NOW YOU DIE!" Bayon flies at Escanor at high speed, and swings his weapon at his neck. But to Bayons surprise… "what!!! My weapon!! It broke.. it… what are you?? You're no human.." Escanor boasts, "I am a human. But I am also the one who stands at the pinnacle of all races. And now.. you're finished" Escanor raises his axe, and brings it down on Bayons terrified face, killing him instantly. "I believe that leaves only one, maybe he can provide something of a challenge. So far, everyone has disappointed me.
Back in town
Leuvis faces down Emma. The final demon. "So" Leuvis states "all of the other demons are dead, most of which were dispatched by a single man. Who is he? And how long has he been here.. Emma?" Emma gasps, so he knows my name? But who's he talking about, better pretend I know what he's talking about, maybe I can scare him, shake him up, he couldn't mean.. Escanor? Could he? "He's been with us forever! And he can take you out too. But I can't forgive you for what you did, but is there truly no way we can get you to leave in peace and never hunt again?" "No" Leuvis says without a second's hesitation "I'm a hunter. THIS is what I do. Now where is that human..I want to kill him, so that you can see how pointless this is. I am superior to all demons, to ALL humans, none can beat me, if he doesn't show up.. then I'll just kill you." Emma has no idea where he is, but she had to distract him as best she could, cause may- she's cut off in her thoughts by a booming voice from behind her
"Look no further" Escanor states walking up behind Emma, who turns to face him and is surprised by his transformation, how in the world did he? "Escanor?? It's really you??" He smiles warmly and kneels down to her "yes it's me Emma, you've suffered enough and have shown great bravery to stand before this monster. Now, please get to safety. I will take it from here" he stands back up and stares down Leuvis. Emma is taken aback, shocked by his sudden demeanor shift. And his physical appearance.. he's a completely new man, but he's no doubt still Escanor… she runs away and hides in a building with Lucas and the others. As they watch the battle about to unfold before them.
"So, I take it you are the one behind this hunting ground yes? Leuvis? Is that your name?" Escanor asks "it is indeed, I must say I'm impressed human, beyond impressed, what is your name? I must know who stands before me, so strong to be able to kill all of my allies with ease" "My name is Escanor, lion sin of pride. Commit it to memory before you die." "How boastful, alas tho. I am not the one who will DIE!" He charges at Escanor at blistering speeds and slashes him with his claws repeatedly, he finishes his flurry and turns his back "so long.. Escanor, no one could survive that."
"Who decided that?" Escanor states, while Leuvis is surprised "WHAT?? HOW?" he turns back to see he barely scratched Escanor at all, he's fine.. virtually unharmed. "I must congratulate you, that's the most pain I've felt all day.. my turn" he punches Leuvis In the stomach with an uppercut launching him high into the sky, Escanor leaps up and hammer fists his back launching him toward the ground at high speed leaving a crater when he lands. Escanor lands behind him and Leuvis stands up "Damn you human! You're strong.. this is EXACTLY what I've been waiting for! I've gotta get serious now, you might just be the first person to ever hurt me!" "It was foolish of you to not have taken me seriously from the very beginning, you're lucky I held back else you'd be a memory by now" Leuvis appears quickly behind Escanor "so arrogant, goodbye.. ESCANOR" as he pulls his arm back then drives it into Escanors back, impaling him.. slightly.. "impressive" Escanor states as Leuvis is cowering in fear, unable to process what just happened, he barely poked a hole in him, it was the equivalent of an ear piercing.. he put everything into that attack, "you actually managed to draw blood" he turns around "for that, I will do you the honor, of using my ultimate attack" he steps away from Leuvis and holds his arm out, a large sun appears above his palm, and Escanor grew 10 times his own size. Leuvis never felt smaller, never felt more weak, he had met his doom.. this day. "Crueeel sun!" Escanor says as he throws the sun at Leuvis, who is frozen in fear. The attack connects as Leuvis cries out "ESCANOR YOU BASTAAAARD!!!!!"
Then silence, Leuvis is no more. Escanor stands above him "for the sin of hurting and killing innocent children, I sent you to your doom." He turns and sees all the Goldy Pond children and Lucas standing before him, in awe. As they remain silent, another man is with them and a child with black hair covering his eye, he hadn't seen them before. Lucas walks up to Escanor "that was.. a hell of a show. You're…. We're forever in your debt" "no, there is no debt to be paid. This was necessary, I would do it all again in a heartbeat." Escanor says. Lucas turns to the other kids who can barely contain their excitement, they are freed from this hunting ground, and can now work on going to the human world. All thanks to Escanor
Later that night, the kids blew up Goldy Pond as they had planned and Emma And Yugo led them back to the shelter, where they ate and talked about what had happened, Emma explained that Escanor wiped out all the demons at Goldy Pond with ease, and thanks to him no one got hurt or killed, she explained about the 7 walls and her plan to take them all to the human world. While Escanor didn't quite know where he was he figured he would stick with them for the time being, at least until he could return home. To his friends, The Seven Deadly Sins.
