Summary
Ardyn Lucis Caelum has had spiritual visions, and he knows he's destined for a great purpose. He also knows that the prophecy says someone of his line is destined to become the founding king of Lucis, guided by the Oracle of Light. Having convinced himself that it wasn't meant to be during his and his brother's generation, he's surprised when he crosses paths with a slave girl that shows all the potential to be the Oracle of the prophecy. This healer of the people finds himself embroiled in politics, an uncomfortable rivalry with his brother, the task of helping Aera become the bastion of light she's meant to be, and the overwhelming feelings he has for her.
