It's been four months since the meeting. Shen Yuan adjusted to the peak nicely. All of the disciples loved him.
Shen Qingqiu watched as Shen Yuan was crowded by a lot female disciples. They'd play with the toys and dress the lambtaur's upper body with cute outfits.
Shen Yuan seemed alright with it.
Qing Jing peak lord decided to get some paperwork done while the girls were watching him. They were in the garden after all.
That lasted only half an hour before two of them came in crying.
"What's wrong?," he asked.
One disciple began explaining," Shizun, we lost the baby!"
"What?!" Shen Qingqiu immediately stood ignoring the mess of papers made by the motion.
"We were looking at flowers and next thing we know A-Yuan is jumping off the wall!"
How the fuck is that possible?!
"Put the peak on lockdown! No one is allowed to leave until Shen Yuan is found!"

Three hours later, Shen Qingqiu is tearing up though he doesn't notice. Where was his baby?! He should've been there! He should been in the garden with the kids.
How the hell did A-Yuan climb over the wall in the first place?
Seeing no other option he unsheathes Xiu Ya and flies.
Shen Qingqiu is going around the sect looking for any signs of Shen Yuan. The toddler probably ran away.
'Why wouldn't he?,' a dark voice in his head asked. 'Something like you doesn't deserve happiness.'
The peak wiped his eyes. Shen Yuan was gone and it was all his fault. He must've done something to upset the boy. He's bad guardian.
"Baaaaaaaappppppuuuuuuu!"
Wait. What.
"Baaaaaaaappppuuuuuuuu!"
Shen Qingqiu looked around. His jaw dropped when he saw Shen Yuan standing in a dangerous mountain edge like it was nothing. How is he not falling to his death right now?!
Humans can't even climb like that. Wait, Shen Yuan isn't human. He has four hooves for crying out loud.
He flew to where the toddler was amazed that the boy isn't scared one bit.
"Bapu!," Shen Yuan said smiling.
Shen Qingqiu forced himself to calm down because screaming right now might make the child fall.
He picked the boy up and flew right back to his peak.
Once they made it back and Shen Yuan was placed safely on the ground Shen Qingqiu grilled into him.
"A-Yuan!"
The lambtaur looked at him with a shocked expression. He's never heard Shen Qingqiu raise his voice at him.
"Bapu?"
"Don't 'Bapu' me! Why did you leave without telling anyone?! You scared us! You scared me! Why would you do that?!"
The lambtaur's lip began wobbling.
Shen Qingqiu continued. "You're going on time out and no sweets for the rest of the week!"
The dam broke. Shen Yuan began crying. "Bapu, no!"
"Bapu, yes. What you did was very bad."
The toddler began crying even more.
"Next time you do that I'll take your toys away too."
He grabbed the toddler by the hand and they walked towards the peak courtyard. The disciples saw and came running to them.
"Shizun!"
"You found, A-Yuan!"
"He's crying!"
"Is he hurt?!"
Shen Qingqiu raised his hand to silence. "Shen Yuan is going on time out! No one is to give him anything sweet for the rest of the week and if I find out you've been giving him sweets before his punishment is over you'll get worse than him, understand."
He confined Shen Yuan in his room ignoring the child's cries.

Yue Qingyuan came in a bit after.
"Xiao-*ahem*-Shidi, I've heard A-Yuan wandered off earlier," he said.
Shen Qingqiu glanced at him. "He's currently confined to his room until further notice."
Yue Qingyuan asked," isn't that a bit harsh? He's only a child."
"You know as well as I do, we went through worse at his age," Shen Qingqiu said. "This isn't even close to harsh."
The sect leader didn't reply.
Shen Qingqiu continued," I'm trying to get him to realize there are consequences for his actions, alright."
"I understand," Yue Qingyuan. "You're trying to be a good father."
"I'm not his father though," Shen Qingqiu. "He call me 'bapu', nothing close to father."
Yue Qingyuan gave him a look. "And here I thought you knew everything."
"What?"
"'Bapu' means 'father' in the Indian language."
"Wait, what?"
